  1. 1) donโ€™t be the party in power when inflation hits 2) donโ€™t run a woman again, ever The only soul searching needed, the rest is noise.
  2. People loathe the democrats because theyโ€™re the party expected to be the adults in the room, so when things go wrong itโ€™s obviously their fault. Trump is about to have the Senate, House, and a popular vote mandate yet he will still blame Democrats anytime anything bad happens, and everyone in this thread currently lecturing the Democrats about personal responsibility will go along with it.
  3. This is such a complete and total rebuke that thereโ€™s no point in analyzing specific things that the Dems may or may not have done wrong. Itโ€™s like criticizing specific play calls when asking why Colorado State wasnโ€™t able to keep the game closer against us. The electorate wanted to vote red this cycle, period. In hindsight, nothing else mattered.
  4. In 2016, I was shocked that he won but instantly became more plugged into politics and there was an underlying desire to fight against Trump and his policies. I get that itโ€™s still fresh, but this time I just kind of want to unplug and get away. Whatโ€™s the point?
  5. We live in a country that views the world differently than most of us do. Itโ€™s an unfortunate reality. Bed time. If Iโ€™m gonna be pissed off tomorrow, I might as well be rested.
  6. We will not see a Democratic majority Supreme Court for the rest of most of our lifetimes.
  7. There is nothing that could have changed this. Harris ran a phenomenal campaign, hence all of our optimism 12 hours ago. Worldwide, incumbents - which she essentially is - have been fucked for the last few years. We hoped that the US was different, but itโ€™s clear we were wrong.
  8. They have him sweeping the 7 swing states.
  9. It's exactly what he said would happen.
  10. Reread what you just wrote. Florida is red is the only concrete conclusion drawn, which we already knew. This is 2020 again - except this time nobody expected Dems to do well in Florida, I feel I'm taking crazy pills.
  11. We won't be able to draw any definitive conclusions for at least another hour.
  12. Early states lean red, gives impressions that may or may not have any correlation on the rest of the night. 2020 was the exact same.
  13. Genuinely insane to have someone at 65% when we have zero information about WI/MI/PA.
  14. For folks stuck in here: Longhorns 5 in the initial Playoff rankings, projected first round vs Alabama.
  15. Meeting cancelled, letโ€™s rage.
  16. Don't agree with all his views, but the country would be in a much better place if all Republicans were like Raffensperger.
  17. Working on a project with a far east contractor and they picked TONIGHT AT 7PM for our kickoff call. Dunno if Iโ€™m pissed or thankful for another hour of distraction.
  18. +1. Js1 the easy MVP of this thread.
  19. Seems like a good day to save this country.
  20. In all sincerity, this might be the scariest a human being has ever sounded during an interview.
  21. My father, who has a "FJB" sticker on his garage beer fridge, muted every single political commercial - from either side - when I was at his house watching football this weekend. I know he voted for Trump, but there is absolutely no excitement in that household about tomorrow night.
  22. It's the biggest downfall with the rise of the internet/social media. Throughout all of human history, stupid people would voice their stupid ideas in their community, get shunned, and (all but the most insane individuals) would then reconsider/adjust their beliefs in an attempt to appease our innate desire to belong. Now, stupid people have the ability to leave their immediate communities and seek out communities full of other stupid people, thus eliminating the need to reconsider anything. The "information superhighway" unfortunately includes an HOV lane for people with IQs under 90.
