  1. The freakish part of that wasn't even the catch, or the fact that he came all the way across the field to make the catch. It was getting his foot down in the end zone, and not on the 6 inch line. https://www.facebook.com/Horns247/videos/michael-griffin-int-vs-usc/2175221345828316/?scrlybrkr=403c49c4
  2. Anti-Gay Methodist American Church sounds better.
  3. My POA (property, not home) needs to do more to enforce the covenants, imo. I would really like to sit out on my porch at night and not be blinded by the outdoor spotlights my neighbors use as porch lights that they leave on all night, for instance. (Yes, excessive outdoor lighting is against the covenants). As is excessive dog barking and speeding (private roads) or stacking trash next to the dumpsters when they are full (like the trash truck driver is going to get out and load that shit by hand). One reason I bought the land is because of the strict covenants regarding such things.
  4. 2 years seems pretty light for attempted kidnapping of elected federal officials.
  5. There may be a few who don't vote if DOTarD drops out, but most will vote against Biden. The only way your scenario plays out is if dOTaRD runs as an independent.
  6. https://www.npr.org/2023/05/11/1175552028/tuberville-military-white-nationalists WBHM reporter Richard Banks asked Tuberville to clarify his comments on white nationalists saying, "You mentioned the Biden administration trying to prevent white nationalists from being in the military. Do you believe they should allow white nationalists in the military? "Well, they call them that. I call them Americans," Tuberville said.
  7. Who would have imagined the enemy of the free world would solve the problems of the free world? Dramatic irony
  8. Yeah, maybe, but if he doesn't block it, the mongoloid caucus will crucify him.
  9. This is me. The only marvel movies I've liked other than this series was the Thor one where Asgard was destroyed. (I haven't seen anywhere near all of them though). And I only watched them after going to Disney Land this summer and riding the Guardians ride, which had videos with the Guardians and a "tour" through the Collector's lair/home/whatever and a hilarious animatronic Rocket "guide". edit: California Adventure Land, not Disney Land.
  10. Action: Road Warrior and Fury Road Mystery: the first Knives Out. Comedy: Big Lebowski, Ground Hog Day, Caddyshack
  11. That doesn't happen in my daugther's middle school, but my friend's son who graduated two years ago told me it was common in high school. Its just easier than having the kids carry around calculators and laptops/chrombooks/ipads/whatever.
  12. I'm sure the answer to this mystery is, or will be soon, in the wives thread.
  13. Question for anybody: Assuming there are enough R House defectors to pass a debt ceiling increase, would the dems plus these defectors be able to force it to a vote? Or could Mccarthy block the vote?
  14. I can finally find some body who will paint my house?
  15. This is already happening. Katrina refugees and the people displaced when Paradise California burned down are two obvious examples in the US. A few months back on NPR (iirc) they had a story about k-12 students from Paradise who were still having classes at a civic center in a nearby town.
  16. cruel and unusual punishment is against the constitution bro.
  17. Teachers and coaches work on contracts, probably one year contract if he is new to the profession. Either side breaking the contract is a big deal. If the district breaks the contract, they have to prove cause (which it sounds like they have), but that can turn into a legal shitshow if the pedo fights it. I would bet this is what happened: As a coach, he has a contract, probably one year. The district said either you go dark and resign and fuck off and we pay you the rest of your contract, or we fire you right now and you get nothing and we will see you in court. Much easier (and maybe cheaper, I dunno) for the district to do the former, rather than the latter. If he chooses the payout, the district has leverage (his remaining pay, which may go through the summer) if he tries to sue or talk shit or whatever.
  18. probably Michael Rappaport (sp?)
  19. Well, if you had told us this was coming a month ago, I would have given you the best advice I can, which would have been "sleep now." But you screwed that up so going forward... Its ok to go into the office if you need to get some rest.
