  1. Valentina's is good as well.
  2. I loved Tyson's "wow you guys have a lot of firewood" comment when arriving on EoE.
  3. It's cheaper to prioritize function and ignore form. I guess when I own my own professional sports franchise, I can pay a little more for both to be addressed equally.
  4. I was thinking more along the lines of Terrell Heights and the western parts of Northwood.
  5. One thing that many don't know is that there are small pockets of relatively affordable San Antonio that are not in Alamo Heights or the equally expensive Terrell Hills that are in AHISD. That may be an option, depending on their budget.
  6. That is one butt ugly ballpark. I was hoping it would look better in reality than the butt ugly renderings, but I think it actually looks worse. I hear Jerry is going to install a privacy fence so visitors to AT&T Stadium don't have to see it.
  7. We played and beat both, so that one's a wash as far as how it makes us look.
  8. I've been stockpiling soups, rice, beans, crackers, peanut butter, tuna, and a bunch of frozen stuff, including Central Market tamales. If this drags on for more than 6 months, I will have to rotate some of my stock as I'm able.
  9. I think he means that Jeremy could have engineered the vote for Rob instead of Ethan, but didn't. We'll never know if that plan would have worked, so it's difficult to say that anyone was saved.
  10. Avatar does not check out.
  11. I thought this might be the case. I don't stream on my phone, as I work from home and don't really have a need for it. Thus I have a cheap limited data plan that would fill up pretty quickly if I started streaming a bunch of stuff on a long road trip. My list on my PC is mostly static, and I doubt I'll add much to it anymore. That said, I don't intend to put my entire collection on my phone (it wouldn't fit anyway ~150GB), so the songs in a given playlist may or may not need to be copied over. It would be nice if I could just select a playlist, tell it to sync, and it copied over what is needed as needed. Looks like I'll have to try a few of the options, VLC being one of them.
  12. I'm looking for something reliable to manage my digital music files. They are all MP3s. My main need is being able to easily create playlists in Windows 10, and to sync those playlists (and the associated MP3s) with my Galaxy S9. I used Windows Media Player in the past when I had Windows 8 and a Windows OS phone, but have not really done much with this since upgrading to Windows 10 and changing to Android over a year ago. I'm going to be doing some road trips soon, and want to be able to play my music from my phone. Other factors: I don't need streaming, I don't need to pull music from the cloud, I don't need to share my library with other users, and I don't want iTunes. It doesn't have to be free, but I do not want recurring charges, and would prefer no ads. Anyone else still doing music this way?
  13. I never want Arsenal to lose, but winning Europa was not very likely with all the injuries, and at least it may provide a small silver lining. My hope is that this will allow the club to be a little fresher down the stretch, and to focus on moving up the PL table to at least qualify for Europa next season. That's as much sunshine as can muster under the circumstances.
  14. It probably would have worked out better for them if Rob had been the one sent to extinction. He might be better at competing with Nat. On second thought, maybe not. He has looked very ordinary in challenges. Getting old is a bitch. Normally, I subscribe to the "get rid of the biggest threat" strategy, and even said that Sandra and Rob should be sent packing ASAP earlier in this thread. That said, good under the radar players like Jeremy need to keep more obvious targets in the game. One thing that is easy to forget when Rob and Sandra dominate the editing is that everyone in the game has at least some skills, otherwise they would not have won. It is entertaining watching them figure out what does and doesn't work in this scenario.
  15. I definitely agree about Natalie. I wouldn't mind seeing her be the one who makes it back into the game. As for voting off Ethan instead of Rob, it would not be at all out of the question for Rob to have an immunity idol. We know he doesn't, but Jeremy and Michelle don't. Getting rid of Ethan removes some of Rob's power, and as others have said, keeps a bigger target in the game. The down side is that it probably means that Rob will end up working with Adam in order to survive.
  16. I think I would rather live with the consequences of my naivete. There are mental health benefits to having one's head in the sand, which is good since apparently the only medical care I will be able to get is what is provided by the prison system Woe is me.
  17. I would counter with, "if you feel that you need to have a good and vetted defense attorney in your phone, you may be doing it wrong," but maybe I live a too quiet, unassuming, and naive life.
  18. No one gives a shit about that. How is your mom handling this? That's what we want to know.
  19. Is the expectation that the cost of plane tickets will go up or down as this thing progresses? Will the airlines have to cut prices to lure passengers who are afraid to travel, or will they have to raise them in order to eek out as much revenue as they can? I can't find my crystal ball.
  20. A 401k loan is definitely better than withdrawing funds, but it's still not a great idea if you have other options. Read these before refinancing or doing a 401K loan. https://www.fool.com/retirement/2019/06/07/pros-and-cons-of-401k-loans.aspx https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/mortgages/refinance-cash-out
  21. I don't understand. Your wife wants to sell the house on which you owe $78,000, but wants to own a home outright within 8 years? What is her plan for making that happen? You'll need to do the math on what a refi will truly cost you with closing fees, new interest rates, and such. You will essentially be converting the CC interest rate to whatever your home interest rate is. You may or may not be saving any money, and if you pay less on your total debt per month, it may end up costing you more. That said, it may still be worth it to you you just don't feel that you can keep paying for both. Cut up your credit cards. I would not touch my 401K under any circumstances aside from terminal illness.
