Also good news, Reyna subbed off at halftime. I assume for something non-injury related and it just takes him extra time to get the bubble wrap on.

Just extra time for them to violate some ass backward law in that stupid country and end up in the slammer for the next two months. One can hope...

Weah at the 9 gets our best 7 on the field at once if we play a 3 - 4 - 3 with wingers in place of wing backs. A back 3 of Robinson - Ream - Z is bad but if we're gonna give up goals regardless, let's fucking score a TD a game.
  4. I feel like I get more R texts than D. Apparently, some red wave riding, MAGA blowhard named Stephen registered my phone number somewhere and now I get spammed non-stop by the GOP. Pretty sure my blocked contact list is 10x my actual contacts list as a result.

Our selection at the 9 is questionable at best and yet our only hope is to score a ton of goals because we know we're porous as fuck. Good formula for success right there. CP, Weah, Aaronson, Reyna, and MMA have to ball out and of those 7, max 5 are on the field at the same time with two of the 5 not being particularly offensive minded (Musah to an extent and Adams for sure). Oof.

This is going to make my head explode once it's official, isn't it? Edit: "this" being the roster, not steffan specifically. As previously mentioned, I couldn't care less about GK #2 compared to other issues - Long, Ferreira, and fucking Roldan.
  7. They don't want to throw out all of the votes, just the ones not coming from rural white males.
  8. We know this team will defend with the best of them, that's just Beard doing Beard things. If this team can rebound, it's going to be killer. So many of our best offensive possessions came off a rebound + quick outlet. We have three guards that can fly. That has to be our identity this year (last year too, to an extent). If teams force us into a half court game, we're going to struggle. But if we can rebound and quickly get the ball into Carr, Hunter, or Morris, we're going to be tough to beat.
  9. Went with Stanford. On to the next one.

I just don't understand the continued hand wringing about our #2 GK. The #3 striker is a far more important and meaningful decision than the #2 GK (most likely). The #3 striker will have a chance for meaningful minutes at meaningful times - when we're chasing a goal, late in the game. To that end, I think @alincoln has a good list, I would just organize it slightly differently. #9 - Pepi, Sargent, Pefok Wing - Pulisic, Weah CAM - Reyna, Aaronson, Tillman MF - M, M, A, LDLT, Acosta FB - Dest, Scally, Robinson, Cannon, Yedlin CB - Ream, CCV, Richards, Zimmerman GK - Turner, Steffen, Horvath That's 25, so room for 1 more. Need some another true winger or another #9 if we treat Sargent as a winger. I guess that means Ferreira and (gasp) Arriola are next up. Edit: lots of flexibility here, obviously - CP10 can play centrally, Reyna/Aaronson can play wide, McKennie can play attacking mid, etc etc... Edit 2: the more I look at this, we have a really solid damn team. It's amazing that we're all convinced that getting out of the group stage is a major win, largely because of the man in charge.

You'd rather whoever the fuck is after Horvath be on the plane? You have to take 3 GKs. Steffen is the #2 (clear cut, IMO), we just need to get past that and hope Turner does not get injured and GGG isn't THAT stupid. The #2 GK is largely irrelevant 99 times out of a 100.
  12. Stewart? I thought I followed recruiting as closely as a sane individual should, but who is Stewart? Surely, you're not planning on Evan Stewart hitting the portal and us taking him, right?
  13. That doesn't sound like Surly at all.
  14. I've been using Iomic's for years. Big fan. Not a huge following here in the states, I think they're bigger in Japan though. My favorite grip are the Best Grip leather grips but they are expensive - I've only used them on clubs I know I'll keep for a while. Whichever you pick, learn to do them yourself. Pretty simple process and lots of how to's out there.

This is spot on. I'd go so far as to say one of those CD worries is tied with Striker at 2. Zimmerman is a huge issue because no matter what, he's at least our 2nd best option based on GGG in the past so he's going to play 65+ every game. That's a major concern.

Our best odds at beating Iran are them being denied entry into Qatar. Or, equally beneficial, if GGG is denied entry into Qatar.
  17. I'd lance her bottoms.
  18. Trump doesn't apply, he just has to think it, remember?
  19. Just voted myself, in and out in less than 5 minutes. Nothing to report other than overhearing a mom telling her young son to pick all the Democrats. And just to get ahead of it... Yes, she was hot. No, I did not take a picture.
  20. Do you bother doing the same KPI with your own posts? Maybe modify it to "disingenuous dildo to word count density" in your case.
  21. I know it's all formulaic but it's so fucking fresh that the bluest place in the state stands up the reddest.
  22. That's been my vibe on Clint Small as well - a lot of signs and zero substance. Also, some not so nice stories about his antics at Anderson football games. FWIW, Texas Democrats supports Kathryn Whitley Chu in that race.
  23. Said another way, they've most certainly moved in the right direction. /Dadjoke
  24. Recall, some of these folks are the same that were calling for Sark's head after TT. Long term rational thinking is not a strong suit around here.
