  1. I feel your pain being a 50 something white dude who owns a construction company, drives a truck, dips some Skoal, and enjoys hunting and fishing. I had to stop wearing red of any kind. Also, despite the above demographic, I am labeled as that "commie hippy liberal from Austin who went to that commie hippy school" when I go fishing with my Houston buddies. I always tell them, "yeah that bastion of free thinking that is the Red McCombs College of Business". Also a CPA, so I also get the tax side of things as well. Ah Ziggy, will you ever win?
  2. Can barely see the top of Frost Tower, once the tallest building in the city. Second picture doesn't even have Rainey St. buildings.
  3. All true. I was addressing it's quality as table fair had it not been polluted.
  4. Yes. The wild freshwater catfish in general has been unfairly maligned, no doubt due to its association with farm raised and saltwater (hard head) varieties. It has also gotten a reputation as a bottom trash feeder, due to its opportunistic and versatile ability to not be too picky in a pinch and feed on dead bait, but make no mistake, the humble catfish is one of the most aggressive live bait predators in the river or lake.
  5. Not gonna be the best thing for other living things.
  6. Great movie. Cross between Dead Poet Society, Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf, and The Shining. Excellent filming like it was actually shot in 1970 except for the 3 point line thing and I believe the Dr. Pepper on the night stand was a little too current and the eye switch thing too. Acting was great and the setting was like another world in a time gone by like The Godfather, The Lord of the Rings, or an Old Jamea Bond film. It will join my Xmas rotation. 4.5 Die Hards out of 5.
  7. I haven't been keeping track that closely, but I think this is the first time you have ever been right. I feel lost now somehow.
  8. I was responding to the quote only did not see anything about changing the skyline, which Trump org definitely did not do. The only reason I know anything about the remodels, is that most of them involved Trumpco cheating on the billing/tax abatements etc.
  9. He did some pretty extensive remodels back in the day, some of which were harder than starting from scratch.
  10. Yeah, I had a gxp bb in with my old 11 speed set up, but changed it out to update. The good news is, if I ever decide to go electronic, all I will need is the shifters and rear derailleur for the xplr set up. Thanks anyway.
  11. Interested in the power meter. Tell me more. I am running dub bb with the whole 1x12 speed flat chain deal. Force.
  12. Went and watched season 2 since I skipped over it on account of bad reviews. I actually liked it. Good character insight and back story, cinematography actually made sense and advanced the industrial theme, complicated enough plot to warrant the number of episodes etc. Some ridiculous and far fetched twists aside it was not a bad watch. It was no season 1, but on par or better than 3, and certainly better than whatever is going on in season 4.
  13. I wonder if they notified him through candygram. Hook'em Mongo.
  14. That scene reminded me of the Zoolander "what is this, a school for ants?" bit.
  15. We watched BS a month ago and my wife and teenaged sons laughed their asses off at that scene.
  16. Especially when he was doing birthday parties in the late 90's.
  17. Quincy said something like "the white guys brought it tonight", and they sure did. Huey, Cindy, Bruce, Kenny, and Dillon (eventually) killed. Especially impressed with Huey holding his own being just being a one album wonder compared with all the multi platinum in that room. A bunch of the guys in his band played and did some back up vocals too. Also, if I'm not mistaken, this song kept Wham from having another #1 in 1985 with their Xmas song.
  18. Looks like Dillon will be pushing daisies instead of "pancels". RiP.
  19. A cycling friend of mine likes the peloton buke because of its rigidity. He likes the contrast and ability to isolate his form.
  20. All kind of season 1 rewatching research going on in this thread.
  21. Was also Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast animated Disney film 1991.
