  1. The NCAA stated less than 10 of 530,000 in college sports, 0.00188679245% . We as citizens can agree or disagree with that number, we don't need the government deciding it for us. Sports in not that serious, for one. We certainly don't need the government to run on that as issue. We don't need them using it to try and start a civil war. We do not need the government to push the unethical treatment of American citizens and setting them at increased risk of hate crimes with innuendo. One has to remember, you may not be targeted now. But, if you allow it now, you might be next. Republicans continue to operate under the conceited assumption the shoe will never be on the other foot.
  2. Seeing more and more of these posts..just cruel the hatred spewed towards good people Of course, we know this is the intent. Voter apathy got Trump elected and now he seeks to crush the spirit before he truly pulls the rug out from under democracy.
  3. Oh, Matt..poor little fellah, ignorance doesn't look good on you .
  4. If he is successful, I think we all should rip out every ramp and rail at the mansion and his office.
  5. This despicable fuck finally told the truth

  7. My 401k went up!
  8. You don't put Pete on for Trumpers. You put him on for the people who keep listening to them thinking "Trump won't do anything he says". This claims they are in... https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/doge/doge-affiliated-employee-accessed-irs-system-sensitive-taxpayer-inform-rcna192423?cid=sm_npd_nn_tw_ma&taid=67b2a2bfc9239b0001201eb9&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
  9. Yep. Friends daughter did it this past summer. I thought it was curious as I had never heard of anyone having the inclination. Pretty the same sentiment from her, best experience.ofnher life. She could have easily flown the world on the parents dime after graduation, but that was her choice and she regretted none of it. Entered a PhD program this Fall as well.
  10. lol I hate to be the one to tell you, but Kamala and all women are equally able to play pocket pool with their button.
  11. https://www.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/letters/2025/documents/20250210-lettera-vescovi-usa.html?utm_source=hootsuite&utm_medium=twitter&utm_term= Paritioners are in a huff over the Pope's letter regarding the misuse of theology by Vance, supposed Catholic concert, and the Administration's rhetoric against immigrants. I have yet to see anyone actually refute the theological and ethical framework the Pope lays out. Rather, they argue using the same fallacy as Vance and the same failed rhetoric of the Trump administration. It all seemingly boils down to, "Would you label Jesus Christ(an immigrant) an "illegal" or not and would you immediately expel him back to persecution and suffering (good Samaritan)?" Brains break. Am I simplifying too much?
  12. 53 days to pass the Fire decree and the Enabling Act
  13. Again, what did JD Vance do in that speech that was out of the capabilities of Harris?
  14. I have never heard of these Facebook pages but meta is clearly fucking with their algorithms to drive interactions. Seeing a lot of right wing bs too all of the sudden. Have to dig through a load of shit just to see my friends and families post. I cut out Twitter, Instagram and threads because I had no family connections on it. I only keep Facebook because I do have family connections. However, they seem to rarely post now. Or, I have to fight Facebook to let me see my feed that is only family, which defaults to "all caught up" even when I haven't been on Facebook in a week. Have to reload it every time to see what I actually missed.
  15. Why wouldn't Kamala be capable of giving a prepared speech to an international audience? She has done it far more than Vance, likely in the range of 25 times. Here is her successful speech in Munich, 2023.

  17. First subcommittee for DOGE with club foot leading for the Republicans and Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-N.M.), the top Democrat on the House's DOGE subcommittee (made the statement above).
  18. Well, we have reports now of Democrat Governor's forced to sue in order to restore promised funds, that were arbitrarily cut. Meanwhile, Republican Governors just go straight to Trump administration to get promised funds released. We know by level of funds it is Republican states that are far heavily dependent on federal dollars, so we can expect any "savings" to seemingly come from Democrat States.
  19. Weren't the Venezuelans the random group of migrants Trump oddly advocated for near the end of his first term?
  20. The "social security database" couldn't be more vague as the administration of SSNs is compromised of multiple systems and processes to detect fraud and misuse. If he is talking about the numident file, that is not de-duplicated because I do believe it tracks the historical changes for each unique SSN issued including name changes, death, etc. I thought you were against posting dumb shit from Twitter?
  21. So, Musk read the recent GAO reports and posts that as the result of his DOGE "work"?
  22. I get your battleground but it is certainly exhausting. Now it is bleeding into Facebook and LinkedIn. I don't know how they have the time. Of course, there are bots and it all makes the idiot army look much larger than in reality. We need to fight dirty with the bots and the flooding of outlets to alleviate that fatigue. Keep pushing forward.
  23. I doubt anybody here argues this point but within the framework of our Constitution and laws. We keep seeing the right wing using these arguments like yours quoted above, without context and it is plain disengenious, intentionally. The right has complained about "Soros" and the "deep state" for a decade now, yet we have never seen Soros or any other billionaire with this level of unfettered access ever. We have a framework for finding fraud through deep analysis with context and established audit frameworks. Use it instead and actually prosecute instead of underfunding and giving violators a pass as Republicans typically do (see US government fraudster Rick Scott). If they want to sunset whole agencies, pass the legislation. Installing a severe conflict of interest racist and his merry band of incels isn't a democratic process. It's an autocratic oligarchy doing what it pleases with no accountability or transparency (no screenshots without context or sourcing on Twitter do not count). When Putin took over Russia, he had his favored oligarchs by his side with the agreement they would never criticize him. Trump clearly has his favored bunch of billionaires in the same vain. Of course, we are going to sound the alarms when he uses a favored billionaire to destroy democratic infrastructure just like Putin. We have seen this movie before ....installing favored, State media in the White House...seen it...attack media that criticizes with lawsuits and legal prosecution..seen.it...trying to centralize democratic power into an autocracy backed by oligarchs..seen it.... Hell, we even already have the attempt to remove the two term limit, albeit a weak attempt. Putin had to wait almost 20 years to get that far and he can now be President until 2036, when he will be 84, and have served 32 years.
