  1. Sumlin got way more than 10 million. And I'm not sure if it was offset language or lack thereof. It might have just been the fact that the contract had the total buyout due 60 days after termination. So Sumlin got one big check and then got to do whatever the fuck he wanted. Which was bleed Arizona. Also, I was curious. Sumlin is now the OC/TE coach at Maryland.
  2. I can see a world where Venables goes and throws a bitch fit in Nagy's office about not getting him elite talent and Nagy deciding to dive back into this recruitment. I think at this point I'm cheering for OU to spend a fuck ton of money to get the tweener.
  3. It’s hard not to when certain posters pull their pants down and wave their gash over and over again.
  4. Shoe string tackles? Wingo? The guy was a beast to bring down all season. Do you even watch the fucking games? Between his action last year and the practice reports, what possible reason do you have to think Wingo isn’t going to have an awesome year? im rewatching the Clemson game in spurts today and Wingo broke 2 tackles at a loss on and end around and hoss’d a first down from a 4-5 yard loss.
  5. I can appreciate Bolden while still recognizing that that psycho made every punt return an exercise in blood pressure control.
  6. I’m not sure that’s true, because if i remember correctly, Sumlins entire buyout was due in one lump sum 60 days after termination. I think that was 35 million.
  7. I don’t need an outpost. I don’t need a safe haven. I don’t need friendly people shaking my hand. Everyone can go fuck themselves. I’ll rent a car so I don’t get Fayettenamme’d. I’ll enjoy everything Knoxville has to offer, which is a lot, under the hateful stares of the local peasantry.
  8. I don't even think Arch needs to make that many plays with his legs. Assuming he isn't a nervous, happy footed self-sacking machine I think being able to hit the deep ball will force teams to lighten the box and running will be just fine.
  9. Paul Hogan was 31 when that movie was filmed.
  10. I mean, he doesn't have a paid gig YET. Lets not forget 247 just hired some aTm kid who got his start posting shit in twitter when he was like 16. For god's sake, @texifornia got a full time job on what started as side-posting on the internet under the non-de-plume Hayes Fawcett. The correct answer is "who's counting?"
  11. Lol. I've got some friends who have had various older family members visit a Hedonism site, and the stories they get are that it's basically like The Villages in Florida, but slightly younger. Just a bunch of 50-65 year old ugly people looking to get their rocks off with strangers. It's basically like a cruise ship on dry land. Now that I think about it, it might be the final, inevitable stop in the evolution of Disney Adults.
  12. THeir backup is Miss St JAG Micael Van Buren, or converted Safety Ju'Juan Johnson. Johnson, from what I can tell, was a 5'11 HS QB, who they converted to S, and then to RB, and now is a backup QB. I like where this is headed.
  13. I wouldn't hold my breath for that.
  14. That's what the standard Australian 17 year old male looks like. That's what happens when your youth is predominantly spent in some combination of drinking/boxing kangaroos/surfing/drinking/dingo wrasslin'. Honesty, this guy looks pretty fucking young for 24 by Australian standards. Fortunately for us the women age much better.
  15. Ha. Probably true. The only defense I have is that our group of about 8-10 rec sports folks where there 2-3 times a week. Hoo. Did the 2 martini challenge twice, once for a buddy's b-day. Glad we had a DD.
  16. You're moving the goalposts too. There's a fuck ton to DO, but it's hard to match it up compared to a Boston or New York or Chicago to warrant a VISIT over other places. There's plenty of shit TO DO. And that works for Locals. Less so for people to visit to have to drive 30 minutes everywhere to see the Next Thing. Being an attractive Tourist Destination isn't the same thing as THINGS TO DO. Austin has great food, but I'm not sure they're going to be able to take the crown from Houston as long as our Vietnamese and Indian continue to really be huge and vibrant on the food front. But that's just IMO.
  17. Ha. I have friends all over Houston, and family in the Woodlands, and I'm glad my wife and I are on the same page; we don't need square footage nearly as much as we need a 20 minute or less commute to our jobs every day. I just don't know how the hell people do it. I'm going to push as subtly as I can for my kid to go to college out of state.
  18. Agree. And this hits close to home as I had Goode Company Campechana on Wed at lunch. The burbs aren't Houston. That sounds like a them problem, sir.
  19. You specifically said "there's nothing TO visit." Which is horseshit. There's a ton of things to visit. This is categorically different from you now moving the goal posts to say "worthwhile to visit" or "world-class tourism spot." Yeah, because things elsewhere are grouped together easily and there are dozens of other cities where you can get more bang for your buck. That is not the same thing to say as "there's nothing to visit." I drove through New Mexico this summer. There's a lot of things TO visit. But getting to them fucking sucks balls and is a drive. Move the goalposts back to where you had them at the start, chooch.
  20. Houston is a good place to live, make money, and to a degree raise a family. Of course that last one is dropping fast thanks to public education in all of Texas. But most of your post is pretty fair. It's ugly, it's concrete, it's hot, and it's weather is a ball kick. I can't wait to see how installing a generac manages to not solve the problem of whatever the next disaster is going to be...I can't wait to get the fuck out of here when I retire for sure, and a huge driver of that is the weather. The only thing I quibble with is Nothing To Visit. Houston has great museums, and it has the best arts/theater area in the fucking country behind only New York and maybe Chicago, and not just the shit downtown there's great theaters all over Houston. NASA, a shitty ass beach, and most importantly fucking world class cuisine. Everyone just bitches about there being nothing in Houston because you have to fucking DRIVE to get to everything. But it's there, and it's worth visiting. It's just bad for tourists to visit. Locals can enjoy it, however. But there's no arguing from me that it's a better place to live than it is to visit.
  21. Never forget how fucking terrible the Sumlin contract was, either.
  22. I’ve got to say, that guy has fucking nailed how to pander to the aTm base. Liucci better watch his six, this kid is the future.
