  1. Hell is not about dispensing man's retribution for what other men did on earth. It’s eternal separation from God because of failure to accept Jesusā€˜s sacrifice for our sins, and the only unforgivable sin is knowingly rejecting that sacrifice. Knowing that God forgives what I consider to be unforgivable is the toughest thing about being a Christian in my opinion.
  2. No, they all do. And that is the problem
  3. I’m not celebrating his death. If he truly is a Christian he is with Jesus right now and if so, I believe he is having to give an account for his actions on earth. I feel terrible for his wife and daughters. No one should have their family ripped apart by gun violence. I will note that the vast majority of Americans want reasonable laws passed to lessen the likelihood of that happening to more families. And he vehemently advocated against that in his life. No reasonable person thinks we can take that number to zero, but that is not an argument for doing nothing. According to his own words Kirk believed an absolute right to the 2nd amendment is so important that the deaths of thousands of children are acceptable to protect it. He spent his life sowing hate towards marginalized people; people who are my friends and family members, my patients, and my (and his) brothers and sisters in Christ, so no I do not mourn him. But because I am called to love him I am struggling mightily right now. My eldest daughter, who is one of the strongest and most faithful Christians I know, told me last night she is questioning her faith because of all her friends who are posting about what a tragedy this is when they never had a word to say about Uvalde; or El Paso; or the Pulse nightclub; or any of the church/mosque/synegogue shootings; or the MN assassinations or school shootings. Or even the CO school shootings from yesterday. And who attacked her for saying why she does not mourn him. Note she didn’t respond to their posts expressing their grief but felt compelled to post replies to her on her timeline She has never said anything about questioning her faith to me and she has gone through some very trying times. And I don’t have anything to say to her that doesn’t feel hollow and trite. And that breaks my heart I will leave you with a quote from Charlie Kirk, which I can only assume shows us how he would want us to feel about his death, unless his whole professional life was a work: ā€œI can’t stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, New Age term that — it does a lot of damage, but it is very effective when it comes to politics.ā€ ā€œI can’t stand th empathy, actually. 4. Were there a lot of oil cans about, perchance?
  5. Deserve’s got nothin to do with it
  6. Definitely more than the average community college dropout though.
  7. As many as at the BeyoncƩ Kamala live in?
  8. The point stands that he advocated for 2nd amendment over the safety of children. In his own words. You claim to not know anything about that. If true it’s willful ignorance on your part. and bullshit the right didn’t say that to victims’ families. Our piece of shit governor literally told the families of Uvalde it could have been worse Finally, we don’t know who the shooter was or their motivation. I find it very disturbing this could go off and the shooter seemingly disappear into thin air
  9. Seriously fuck you spoiler that shit better yet delete it. Some of us have seen enough shit like that up close
  10. Kirk was literally ok with Sandy Hook and Uvalde as the price to pay for our 2nd amendment rights. His words not mine. Now his family joins those families as victims of policies he championed.
  11. How many fuckers were running around that area with long guns?
  12. Not a terribly difficult shot at a range. In this situation to remain calm enough to to pull that trigger it’s a sociopath or trained sniper. Or both
  13. If only there was something we could do about lunatics with firearms. thoughts and prayers to his family though for real
  14. No I clearly remember in molecular biology being told some BS about memory T cells ā€œevolvingā€ into a genetically distinct lineage from somatic cells. Pure d indoctrination IMO
  15. The only Wolff publication regarding UTC I could find was published in 1995. Maybe I should sue her
  16. Can’t even not fuck up one sentence without editing? What looks plagiarized to you in that response?
  17. I took American novel before 1920 as an upper division English core curriculum class in the late 80s or early 90s. It was taught by a very masculine lesbian, and while we did read Melville’s Benito Cereno and of course Huck Finn, and I think one Jack London novel, everything else was from female authors like Edith Wharton, Kate Chopin, Willa Cather, Sarah Orne Jewett. etc. I never even thought about dropping it, much less complaining to anyone about her choice of representative reading (because I was not a titty baby snowflake, or moron) And it was an awesome class full of books I probably would not have otherwise been exposed to had I had some old white dude loading us up on Henry James, Theodore Dreiser, Stephen Crane and William Dean Howells. I probably wouldn’t have read any of those female authors on my own, especially since my only exposure to Wharton was Ethan Frome in high school Oh also, we did read uncle Tom’s cabin, and she had a pretty awesome take on it. I wrote my main paper for the semester on the contrast between Babo and Uncle Tom. so again, fuck that kid, fuck the university president, and fuck the daily texan snowflakes that see any of this as political
