  1. Sorry if obvious but it does look like each room (and file) are a different unpleasant memory. As much as I hate to think it, I bet that Cold Harbor is related to her miscarriage. Can Lumon have a person go through that type of traumatic event but walk out the door like nothing happened? And sadly Mark is somehow programming the code to make that occur. Perhaps by blocking the scary numbers which relate to emotions. FWIW, I'm in the camp that Gemma never was in a car accident. Not that I can explain how she kidnapped but were Devon and Rickon perhaps involved? Of course if you go down that route, who's to say that Gemma wasn't a willing participant with Lumon before she even met Mark. What's tough for the audience now is that many were probably rooting for happiness between Helly and Mark. Even though Helena is evil in her own way. Not as easy to cheer on Helly and Mark and want Mark to reunite with Gemma.
  2. Perhaps someone should look into military and how they're disabling so many who serve. I know we picture a vet who lost a limb in a war but I'm gathering that the majority do not represent that picture. Of course disability also occurs with non-military as well. You can't tell me that, for some, disability is orchestrated as their retirement pension. A friend of a friend hurt himself playing softball. The guy worked for the USPS. He quietly limited into work on a Monday morning and then "fell" down.
  3. Maybe it’s a red herring but I find Devon’s behavior suspicious. She’s outwardly opposed to severance and lumon but she wanted to kick out the only person trying to help mark end severance. And I don’t believe that mark ever told Devon about Petey showing up reintegrated. Why didn’t he trust her with that? And while not said, who hosted the charades party that Gemma went alone? Devon and Rickon seem to be the best guess.
  4. It makes no sense why we are surrendering to Russia. If you’re talking to friends, especially those on the right, make sure you use the term surrender to them. im unsure that anyone can point to a historical event when the more powerful country capitulates to a much weaker one. If we say it’s because of Russia’s nuclear arsenal that we have to give in, what happens next when they want Poland, Finland or the other nearby states to get out of nato? Do we just agree to it?
  5. Friday was a setup to make Zelenskyy more of the enemy. And it was obvious that Lil Marco definitely wasn’t in on the plan but has since agreed to it. Now when any Euro country decides to back Ukraine, they are simultaneously publicly opposing Trump. This gives Trump cover to punish Europe for waging war, and for the US dropping out of NATO and pulling all US troops out of Europe. i suppose if the Euro powers drop Ukraine support, they will be allowed to temporarily retain a relationship with Trump. At least until trumps next demand. in short Trump is overturning all American foreign relationships since ww2.
  6. For the life of me, I can’t figure out what service playfly actually delivers. They do seem to talk about owning the multimedia rights for some teams. There is zero chance they own that for A&M. The SEC owns the content that has value. I suppose playfly can own the rights to Elko’s weekly tv show and maybe some other original content but that can’t be worth anywhere near that amount. and if for some reason these types of rights are worth that much and A&M is on the leading edge of these deals, that means other schools will ultimately command a much higher multiple. And I scoff at the idea this is guaranteed. It’s guaranteed only as long as playfly outearns that amount.
  7. I’m uncertain if DeSantis can do anything to remove a citizen who is allowed to return to the US. I believe Tate was born in the US so I’m assuming he’s a citizen even thought he seems to have been in the UK since he was a teenager. of course being the South, Florida can look for ways to make staying in Florida be unpleasant for someone.
  8. I was shocked that DeSantis said that he felt the Tate brothers shouldn’t be in Florida. Why am I thinking that he will soon pivot to saying something about innocent until proven guilty soon when someone brings them up.
  9. So crazy how some on the right will go after non-sex traffickers but embrace actual traffickers when prosecutors have evidence. we are really in a time where a friend of Trump can get away with anything as long as they can personally talk to Trump or have an intermediary.
  10. I would happily ignore a request like that. And if pressed, I would reply that school districts should be self sufficient with the property tax and state money.
  11. Reports that Rudy recently paid off the $148m to the two Georgia election workers. I know he was involved in some large law and security firms but had no idea that he had that much wealth to pay them off. or did he perhaps settle with them and agree to stop fighting?
  12. I assumed its the lack of action from Trump on bitcoin.
  13. The non-Fox News shows are all losing money. One reason is that many of the top names are getting paid as if their ratings were higher. My understanding is that all on-air talent has been approached about taking significant pay decreases. If they're not open to that, they're done. Now if an on-air talent has a sizable audience they may well likely earn more money if they can take a percentage of their audience to their own platform: substack, youtube, podcast, etc. The only viable solution for CNN and MSNBC is to merge. They can and should retain multiple brands and channels, but a merger would significantly reduce costs.
  14. If I'm not mistaken the Deputy FBI Director is not normally a Presidential appointment but rather a career FBI agent/employee. A quick glance of the last handful of deputy directors have all joined the FBI in the 80s or 90s. We've never had someone jump from being a cop or secret service agent to the second spot in the FBI. But then again, Bongino may be more qualified than Kash Patel. So we at least have that going for us. smh.
  15. If the parks are cutting back on services or open dates, then the next logical step is to give them away to private industry who will pay America a small royalty but only after all of their "costs" are covered.
  16. I have a distinct memory of being vaccinated at school for something. Late 70s. It was every kid lined up and someone jabbed something into your arm. I have zero reservations about any vaccine. When the HPV vaccine came out and insurance would only pay for younger men to get it, I asked the doctor if there was any harm in getting myself as an older, single guy. He said it would only harm my wallet and could possibly offer little to no value. I rolled my sleeve and said go for it. I was practically in line the day I became eligible for the shingles vaccine.
  17. when 4-7 companies are making ridiculous bank, need to deliver on big products, and compete for the same talent; salaries become tulip-level inflated. And paying someone $400K (or higher) doesn't mean that they produce more (better) than someone who is earning 150 or 200K. But when chairs are empty due to your competitor paying more, what can you do? I've always looked at some of the big tech firms like Ivy League schools. The tough part is getting in. Once you're in, you can deliver average work and thrive. I also bet that when you get 6 months of experience at Meta, you can jump to Google or MSFT for a big raise. Rinse repeat.
  18. Sad to hear that but 78 is a good life to live. I always liked the scenes with Charlie and Mac's moms. Crazy how that show is celebrating 20 years in 2025.
  19. I know nothing about employment law but I would prefer to be fired than resign unless there was a substantial $ package to resign. Perhaps even fully payable upon resignation. If Congress decides to not fund long term resignation packages, that isn't Elon's problem. I would also think long term that perhaps we will see a Dem president and congress one day that would want to make fired fed employees whole as opposed to those forced to resign. Maybe both would be treated equally but who know. However we all know that many Americans live month to month, if not paycheck to paycheck. It's easier said than done to tell someone to accept a firing with no severance pay. (Not talking about your friend here.)
  20. I bet many judges don't look to pick admin/paperwork fights so I could see them telling their staff to reply. Where it gets interesting is when a 19 year old developer decides to tell a judge that his entire staff is being fired for poor results.
  21. I'm not addressing exactly what you wrote but I think the time of year you renew matters. I've always found it difficult to find a plan that ends in Oct-Dec when many of us start using much less electricity. I just checked out Power to Choose for my ZIP code. Now it's very likely we're at a point of the year that they don't create 7-8 month plans but they have some other odd time frames like 16 months. Plan ends in 2025 April - 14 plans May - 8 June - 7 July - 1 Aug - 2 Sept - 0 Oct - 0 Nov - 1 Dec - 0 2026 Jan - 1 Feb - 38 Mar, Apr - 0 May - 7 June - 2 July - 0 Aug - 4 Sept - 0 Oct - 0 Nov - 0 Dec - 0 Or maybe it's a coincidence that there are very few 6-10 month plans but 4 or 16 months plans are more common. Not many people plan in 4 or 16 month timeframes. Weird.
  22. Employees have to summarize their week with five bullet points? I assume that Grok AI will analyze the bulletin points and decide if the employee performed well enough and if the job is needed. I hope the AI is secure since I assume that some employees who work in sensitive areas will have to respond with detailing said secret tasks if they want to keep their job. as always who elected Musk, a recent citizen, and his AI to rework the entire govt labor force, that even the president can’t fire.
  23. Trump today could suspend elections for his life and name Barron his eventual replacement, and there wouldn’t be a peep from the GOP politicians. At most a few might say that they disagree but they don’t really think that is going to happen. the only thing keeping America from being a dictatorship is Trump agreeing to not being a dictator.
  24. Hopefully there is some understanding of the cause of the blood clot to understand how to avoid more in the future.
  25. Forget the bureaucracy, govt vendors will help find the loopholes or processes for the employees. I'm waiting for the first DOGE person to die from an "overdose" after they start snooping on the CIA or NSA's payments.
