  1. With all the empties we'll see at this game and the Fiesta, going forward we'll see home venues until the championship game. One of a couple changes that will be made.
  2. Interesting analysis but prefacing the entire discussion with a statement that "...the explosive growth of aviation overseas...." was probably worthy of a do-over.
  3. I hate 99% of all politicians. Actually it's closer to 99.9%. Democrat. Republican. In between. Don't give a shit. They're mostly all scum. I loved Carter. Posh? Upscale? Nah. Two bedrooms (below) were just fine after he left the Oval. The value of the secret service vehicles parked outside his residence dwarfed the value of his home. Modest doesn't being to describe Carter. The Dollar General opening in Plains was big. He frequented, often. Unpretentious, an understatement. An unending advocate for mental health and human rights, taught Sunday School at the local Baptist church for as long as he could stand. And on and on. RIP, good man.
  4. That thin-skinned, two-faced clown will undermine anything that threatens to surpass his perceived legacy. Move to, and stay in, Marble Falls and have as many pieces of pie with Dodds at Blue Bonnet as he and his fatness see fit. But keep that cunt as far away from the program as possible.
  5. Two survivors were crew members. Makes sense.
  6. How in the hell did two people survive that?
  7. Acknowledge the ass kicking you stupid fucking sooner Dvoracek.
  8. Dvoracek should get with Mark Jones to fellate themselves to a CU media video. Dear lord.
  9. Okay. Sitake has completely outcoached Sanders and just beaten the shit out of CU.
  10. Dusty, they were playing the ball. Dear lord.
  11. Hold and dance. Nice.
  12. Could be worse. At least that douche Mark Jones isn't calling the game / fellating CU.
  13. Some great gut shots in the crowd.
  14. And a terrible drop by the Navy LB on an easy pick. Hawkins is due for a turnover / pick in the 2H. Won't surprise me if Navy comes back and wins the game.

    Led Zeppelin

Yeah, they lived together from, what, 2010 to 2014? It wasn't really news at the time that he'd get around here and there in south Austin. Not surprising given the amount of time Plant lived here. I remember Fernando (Maria's manager at the old Taco X) saying he had come in a time or two. Our IT guy saw him at HD (it may have been the Brodie location although the Woodward one makes more sense.). Used to pop in at the Continental. I never got a chance to see him, unfortunately. Guessing one or more on this board did. Patty was part of one iteration of Band of Joy while they were dating. Plant later admitted that his drinking led to their separation. 2011. Five kids with a great story to tell.
  16. I honestly don't think Narduzzi knew they were going to 2-point conversions...let's see, go for it from a yard and half out to win the game or go to the next OT where it's 3 yards out. What an idiot.
  17. Shannon Sharpe, the host of a show that focuses on being critical but he's not okay with being criticized. Buffoon. Always has been.

    Led Zeppelin

Used to frequent the Home Depot on South 35 in the day. Apparently he and Patty liked to get their hands dirty and garden quite a bit.
  19. Iconic venue. Iconic player. Good stuff.
  20. There was no one who embraced banter with fans more than Rickey. He savored it as much as the game itself. For several years in the days of the old Arlington Stadium we stood in line to make sure and get the $7 first-row seats in sections G & H whenever the Yankees or A's were coming to town. You didn't miss out. To get a front row seat in the left center stands in that old dinosaur was a ticket to unbridled entertainment. And that source of entertainment was Rickey. He didn't give a shit about playing the outfield. Never did. He was more interested in engaging, and telling you about how big his dick was, and how much your mom enjoyed it, and how much your sister would as well if your mom got tired of it, and on and on. One of the guys we used to go with to the games took in a folded up dry erase board to message Rickey, relentlessly. Rickey came close to climbing the wall when he was told that his manhood was "3 inches, on a good day", but he'd soon have to turn around and somewhat pay attention to a baseball game being played. The shit went on and on, and it was fantastic. Rickey was a character and beyond. And one helluva player. One of one. RIP Rickey.
  21. Someone tell the mother ship.
  22. One of many great Rickey stories.
