  1. DC and the team going out of their way to compliment Sandhagen, but this is a losing gameplan, if there even is one. Slapping, touching, half-jabbing, what was the purpose of this plan? Against a guy who is all-pressure and violent? One guy in there is violent, the other guy in there is trying to play patty-cake. At least in the first 2 minutes the body work seemed like a coherent gameplan, so of course he gave up on it.
  2. Reminder that Sark ended practice 15 minutes early this week bc the team was ready to go.....
  3. It broke $9 for like 7 minutes, and didn't hold the last time it broke $8.50 either. Y'all trippin'. This thing was like $4.90 for a few days at the end of the summer, hold and chill.
  4. It was because Poetl had a stretch early where he had 4 or 5 rebounds and a couple tip ins within a couple minutes just from hustling and being a big body. Hope he continues to play hard because he looked good again. What a balanced box score too. Gotta love that.
  5. Yep, glad I tuned out for the 2nd half and watched What We Do in the Shadows instead. An infinitely better time.
  6. UUUU going brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ...... I have about 1/1000th of the shares as Stafford, but I am also sitting at $5.26, so this is good to see finally. Hopefully it sticks over 8 this time.
  7. This. I have a theory that once we get to the 3rd year, and especially the 4th and an O-lineman not good enough to be a starter, you're playing yourself if you think he's still learning at practice. ESPECIALLY if they're not being benched because they just aren't strong enough yet. They can do rabbit drills and work on pass sets and quickness drills til they're blue in the face, but the guy has the feet and technique to learn the position by year 3 or he doesn't have it. You don't "get it" at 22 years old. They practice this daily from their first day on campus. I'm bullish on Karic still, he saw true freshman minutes and still has some developing to do, same with Conner. But Okafor and Imade are who they are at this point, and for one that was a below average left guard who had 4+ years to learn the position and still graded out his games as a less than average D1 guard. I don't think Imade will fare much better, but maybe we'll give him a gameplan he can work with.
  8. Which reminds me.... with the way they've responded to any automobiles being anywhere near central campus, they'll tear down that parking lot POST HASTE.
  9. On to the next. If we keep getting DJM or Derrick Whites or Keldon Johnsons, I won't argue with a miss at 19 like Luka. It is what it is. This ain't 2000 anymore, everybody is scouting world-wide, aren't too many hidden gems left in Euroleague.
  10. Watched it yesterday. Still not getting the point. If I wanted fan service and to "be back in the Sopranos world again" I would just do a rewatch and re-enter the world. Dickie had a completely unoriginal and uninteresting story. He tried to be a good dude, failed, murdered, cheated, and stole, just like every other mob member in that world, why did he deserve a whole movie? So we could see him having 3 or 4 conversations with a pre-adolescent Tony? Even the scenes with Livia, although sometimes interesting (maybe because of a good casting job), were exactly how I'd expect. Yeah, she had a fucked up marriage alright, thanks for portraying that pretty much exactly how I imagined it would be, why did it deserve a movie depiction?
  11. I'm not even going to question Flood at this point. Karic was definitely not an upgrade in the line, and since Flood knew this, he probably knows that putting Imade or Conner at LG (and Kerstetter at RT) is not an upgrade over Karic at RT. They aren't ready. The talent isn't there.
  12. We can't defend it because our d lineman titty-fight at the line instead of getting penetration. And we can't run it bc our o-linemen allow penetration instead of at least getting a titty-fight stalemate (which usually means the O-line wins).
  13. Very satisfied with the commitment to Carne Guisada in this thread. The official meal of Tejanos for generations. Salute, gentlemen. Also, anybody got a recommendation in Austin? I've had Cisco's, and it was decent but the tortillas just aint' dusty enough like in SA.
  14. Scored a free wristband from a friend around 4 pm tomorrow and made perfect timing for Greta. They kicked ass. Guitar work was solid. Micklethwait still had good brisket at 8 pm too.
  15. Lots of talk of cyclists, not enough of good ol' country white boys in Waller. They should be nuked too. Fuck that town. A 16 year old in a fucking diesel super duty. Get the fuck out of here. They gotta protect him because he'll be a cop in a few years. He's already shown the requisite hate.
  16. Liking the way Djitte looks up top, he's always calling for the ball and positioning himself to score. Much better than the random runs or random lack of runs from our other guys. Manny Perez was way in over his head compared to this dude.
  17. This. We won't play another away game like that all year. Even the away games I figure might be tough (West Virginia, Iowa State), I don't think they'll sell out wall-to-wall like that, and even if they are crazy crowds, they won't have a Top 15 team playing for them on the field.
  18. How long do we think Elora makes it before she turns back? Does she even get to the first gas stop? That other girl hopped in the car and said some dumb shit immediately and Elora's face already had regret. Great episode, the only one I even thought was average was the ride-along one, but I thought the rest were very solid, can't wait for season two.
  19. Can't stand Acho, and Jones/Simms I'm ambivalent on at this point. But he made a prediction, and gave a pretty good reason for making it if he based it on the shittiness of our lines. He wasn't wrong on this particular pick. Not sure where the hate comes from on it. I like Babers bc he was the first from DBHigh School (my own. CSB).
  20. Thought this was another great episode. Didn't think they'd turn the emotional route, but kinda saw the "suicide as a Native issue" episode coming after the last episode when they just hinted at what happened to Daniel. You figured it was a bit about him being both Native and a young Male in that place. Acting has been great from both of the lead girls in these episodes.
  21. Very satisfied that it's settled above $7 for a few days now. It dipped quickly the last time (or two) that happened. Wish I'd put some into DNN as well. This is definitely offsetting my IBRX sads. I'm still sitting around -50% on that one, but a much smaller amount than I put into UUUU.
  22. I'm god damned tired of seeing teams come into our stadium and kick our ass and throw the horns down. Other teams never hesitate to play the villain, it's about time we took that swagger back. I'm tired of this "we got a target on our back every week" excuse bullshit, we need someone like Casey in there to make us the hunters, mentally. We need to be the shooters, not the target. It's been long enough. Back in the day when Vince said "we got some gangsters too" it was about signaling that they can swing at us, but we're gonna swing back. We're comin' for that ass too. I'd much rather have that attitude than "we just have to play our game, it's just another faceless opponent" or "it's about us, never about them". Fuck that.
  23. God forbid a kid get put into the bright lights and his team/coach realize maybe he needs more experience before he trots out there. This line isn't doing him and his style of play any favors. Nobody is giving up on the kid. He, and Sark, cannot afford to appease his ego for an entire year though. We don't have the time for that shit. We play for this year, especially when we're 2 games into the season. Not for Card's potential to possibly be a better QB fit next year and the year after.
  24. Can't believe somebody's turning down front right for a little thigh meat. That shit looks like a prime under-30 marbled cut to me. FOH.
  25. I'm wondering if Majors didn't blow this play himself. The design of the blocking is so weird (obviously bc they fucked it up for one), but it would be so much easier and make more sense if Majors just stepped to the right to get the DT that blew Angilau up, Okafor goes to the backside LB, and Angilau is free to go one-on-one with the play-side LB. All that is set up if Majors just steps right instead of left. Jones crushed down on his DE, so this is the blocking design that makes most sense to me.
