  1. Had to google what allsups was. There are none near anywhere I’ve ever been in Texas. Wild that this state can have a pretty extensive chain of something I’ve never heard of.
  2. For the sake of the show I actually think aging up Ellie to 18-19 in season 1 and having a non-potato actress play her would have been the smarter move. Would have made her much more believable as a survivalist and the added maturity would have made her a lot more interesting/likeable. No one wants to watch two whiny, scrawny “teenagers” cosplaying as zombie-slaying Rambo’s try to carry the show as the leads for the next 8 episodes.
  3. I see what I was looking at now
  4. Not a chance. Lulzed at $14/lb salmon. At HEB the salmon things cost $17-$19.
  5. Price: $475 weekly
  6. Csb that I’ve told before: Colt McCoy is my favorite longhorn ever, even when he first started playing. I was 14 or 15, I think it was after his freshman or sophomore season, but I read in an article that he didn’t drink sodas. I was like “huh I want to be like that”. Gave it up for a few months, liked the superiority complex it gave me, and then just went the next 15 years or so without drinking even one soda. I had one last year, my coworker had got some Japanese ones and I tried it. But still haven’t had any American ones since I was a kid, no desire to either.
  7. Kohl Stewart, Ace Whitehead, Austin Aune are some examples from Texas in recent years just off the top of my head. Aaron Judge turned down FBS offers in football and basketball for baseball.
  8. Soto just got a similar deal like 2 months ago
  9. No greater sign of strength than an entire city accepting martial law for a day so one of the most inept manhunts in history could be carried out. What a fucking joke.
  10. They don’t happen often enough to have an impact on either. Like, at all. They aren’t ignored as it’d be too difficult to discern.
  11. ‘Member when the Orioles were the next big franchise with that wave of young superstars ready to take the league by storm? I ‘member 9-12 currently lmfao
  12. He lost my respect when he wouldn’t cut his hair like Ewers did. If you want all the attention, if you want to make it all about you, you better be able to deliver when it counts. He couldn’t.
  13. It’s Ikner. Possible instagram
  14. Police saying at least 6 injured, confirm there was only one shooter, who is in custody.
  15. Not a local news source. There’s also almost never 2 shooters, but every mass shooting starts out with it being reported as such
  16. The timeout limit in OT is a good rule change though
  17. Suing her while the criminal case is still open is fucktarded
  18. Um, I’m pretty sure they were taking anyone they could get. They didn’t have the luxury of sorting by region.
  19. I’ve never been to Frisco or even spent much time in DFW. But looking at the TAPR profile (statewide accountability system for schools) for each school, the school that Metcalf went to actually has a lot more economically disadvantaged students and was a lot more racially diverse than Anthony’s school. Centennial (Anthony) is actually 51% Asian and only has about 9% “poor” students enrolled. Memorial (Metcalf) has 21% poor students, and whites making up the largest chunk of the student body, but only at 37%. and TIL that not all affluent Dallas suburbs are Southlake carroll copies
  20. The game is far, far different now than it was back then. Guys are ready faster than ever now and the league puts a gigantic premium on youth when it comes to drafting. If he has a great year he’s gone.
  21. That’s an easy thing to explain to a recruit though. He was asking for far more than he was worth. It wasn’t a money issue
  22. Yankees because I grew up hours away from the 2 texas baseball teams and Derek Jeter was my favorite athlete, longhorns because my parents and some family went there, gators because alligators were my favorite animal since I was a kid. Tldr: it’s America and I’m free to root for anyone I want
  23. That’s nuts if true. I’m part of the Florida gator subreddit, and the common talking point on there is that they don’t have the horses to be competitive in the NIL or transfer portal game. In football anyway, basketball proved to be different.
  24. Florida was pretty much the only SEC school doing things clean and above board when it came to recruiting. They didn’t have any fuck you money boosters, even today. Spurrier took that program from a perennial nothing to a strong force the hard way.
  25. Part 2 of the game is pretty well-known to be hated among the gamer fans. Don’t see why part 2 of the show would be different
