  1. YTTV: For the channels that do replace recorded shows with on-demand versions...as long as you start watching your recorded version before it gets replaced you can still access it if you do it in one session. Not great but better than having to deal with commercials. What I mean is that lets say you have a show that runs 7-9p. As long as you start watching it before 9p and finish it in one sitting, you can fast forward normally. We did this for CBS BIP.

LSU, an ohio state university and Clemson seem very likely as 1-2-3 in that order. So who's 4th? Well Georgia if they win out. But I don't think they have much of a chance to do that. I don't think 11-1 Bama gets in over 13-0 Baylor or 12-1 OU. I think they would get in over 12-1 Oregon because their loss would be a team Bama beat. 12-1 Utah or 11-1 Bama? To me that is Utah just because I don't think the committee would leave out a 1 loss P5 champ in that scenario. Really though, which of these results is most likely? 13-0 Baylor, 12-1 OU, 12-1 Oregon, 12-1 Utah or...11-1 Bama. To me its the last one by far so it seems more ikely to me than not that Bama is gonna back door the last spot.

  4. I have played 100s of hours of every Diablo ever made. I imagine the trend will continue here.
  5. LHN definitely not on YouTubeTV, not sure about the other two. I think yes for DirectTVnow and no for Sling though.
  6. The Laundromat was good. Very watchable, nice pace, good actors and an interesting story. Gary Oldman and Antonio Banderas are great in it.
  7. The last one right? I have blocked much of that game from my memory.
  8. Sure but teams still *do* return kick offs. Just not us. We were trying, and failing, to return kicks against as recently as the Kansas game. We were especially terrible at kick off returns vs OU. AFAIK, TCU was the first time this year we decided to fair catch everything.
  9. The return teams are the worst I've ever seen at any level of football. We fucking retired the kick return unit. We don't even try to return it because someone decided its better to just take it at the 25 than fucking up a return. And I agree that taking the ball at the 25 is better than getting stopped short of the 25 every return but it begs the question...why when you are more talented than almost every opponent can you not do something every other team can? Like return a fucking kick? The punt return unit though...holy shit. Next level shitting the bed. We're lucky to just field a goddamn punt without incident. Negative net punt return yards through 8 games...how does this happen? I mean has it ever happened? I feel like I would have noticed this as a fan watching Texas for 40 years or so. High school teams across the state have mastered these simple fundamental parts of football...but not Texas. This reflects very poorly on Herman. Whoever runs these units needs to be replaced this week.

    Houston Oilers

I was 5 and living in Houston for Earl's first season with the Oilers. I became a Texas fan because of Earl. Local high school was the Longhorns too, that probably helped. I went to the annual Oilers-Cowboys preseason game in 78 or 79 and learned from a helpful nearby fan that Danny White was a fag (dude screamed it at the top of his lungs every time he got a snap). Oilers losing to the Bills...man. I was hung over watching the game at a friends house and crashed at half time thinking we were a mortal lock to advance. Later, my buddy woke me up to tell me it was tied. I told him to fuck off and let me sleep. Woke up a few hours later to find him drunk and still drinking, staring at the TV contemplating oblivion. Oilers leaving Houston destroyed my faith in pro sports and it will never be restored.

    Cosmi should starts

That was a genius level play design. I have watched football for forty years and I don't recall seeing anyone ever do that...leak the left tackle from his normal formation to the flat to catch a backwards pass from across the field. Crazy shit. Cosmi looked great executing and finishing the play. I hope they work him into some tackle eligible goal line packages.
  12. My favorite season was the one with Black Bike Week and Ivan the Top DJ. I think that was 3 but if not, oh well. I thought it went downhill after that season.
  13. Yeah I thought there were a couple more in this episode that were hilarious. The "I don't like shows where people solve stuff." was delivered brilliantly. The misbehaving song was so well done and catchy that I thought for sure they were covering some corny ass country variety show shit from the 70s or something like that. But no they made it up, crazy. I love this show and I think it is better than Vice Principals. It is not better than peak Eastbound and Down Season 3 but its some of McBride's best work. And yeah the sister has really stolen scenes here. I like her character much more than the one she played in VPs.
  14. SGammo is a great place to buy ammo over the internet. They have a lot of stock and very good prices. Shipping is by weight and your cart tells you how much you can add before your rate goes up. I have never had an order not ship next business day. Downside, place is in OK. Upside, no Texas sales tax. I used to shop around with gunbot and ammoseek but they have been my default for years now.

This poll highlights how SEC bias and preseason rankings combine to fuck the other P5 conferences. SEC having 5 of the top 10 is crazy and because of the conference's weak scheduling the bias never gets baked out even by the end of the year. Florida Auburn and Georgia are all over rated because of their preseason SEC boost. Florida and Auburn have Ls coming so they will drop some, but not as much as they should because SEC SEC SEC. To me the most likely scenario for the SEC is as follows: Bama wins out. Georgia loses to Bama. So 12-0, 11-1, 11-1. This is a problem for the playoff and the other P5 conferences. If you have LSU over Bama in their regular season contest it could still shake out LSU 12-0 the other two 11-1. Georgia's schedule is a joke, they're not losing outside of the CCG unless Auburn plays with their hair on fire for the rivalry game. It will be interesting to see how much this poll informs the committee's first rankings.
  16. The Blake stuff irritated the hell out of me all season long. He did what guys do when girls let them. Then he got ripped last night for releasing texts that showed he didn't have some kind of master plan to take advantage. Absurd. Feelings over facts and nothing matters, really, except where your demographic sits on the 'privilege' chart.
  17. I cant believe how many tears there are. Its fucking embarrassing, especially from the dudes. Also when they made Jordan and bigger-douche bag leave for their 'fight'...el oh el. People felt unsafe? Come the fuck on. And yeah Clay, my god. How was this dude at an NFL camp? This show needs more alcohol (it can't be my imagination that previous seasons had more scenes with obviously drunk people, can it?) and more fighting, not less. Like if its the girls' week to hand out roses you can beat another dude's ass to get a free rose. I badly wanted to see Derek beat the shit out of JPJ.
  18. YouTubeTV has CBSSN
  19. He has CTE. He's made a bunch of really bad decisions on and off the field over the past two years or so. Someone will pick him up for sure though. I'd say Bucs Browns or Pats.
  20. Signs were pretty weak today. Crowd was very high energy though. Best sign I saw said something like 'We won't need 7 OTs'
  21. DBU vs DB...Who? \m/
  22. Also Brian Kelly is just a complete fucking piece of human shit. So that makes it easy to hate them regardless of history.
  23. I hate ND. Louisville looks surprisingly competitive early.
  24. Absolutely agree. The scheduling loopholes they exploit need to be closed by the CFP. There needs to be scheduling requirements across the P5 in order to be eligible for a CFP selection. 8 conference games instead of 9 and multiple FCS teams on the schedule that are functionally simultaneously bye weeks and game reps for depth.
  25. I think the SEC West being the best division in FBS and the SEC as a whole being overrated can both be true. I think divisions are an outdated construct at this point. SEC East is easy mode path to their title game. Flip UGA into the West for LSU and they likely aren't getting any SEC title game appearances, while LSU all of sudden is. Missouri has two title appearances by virtue of being placed in the East and not the West. Same with the weak division in the Big 10. Northwestern doesn't sniff the title game if they are in the tough division. This shit affects the NFL playoffs every year too and in the NBA the West has been the dominant conference (conferences sitting in for divisions here) for 20 years, resulting in a much easier path to the Finals for the East. Hyperbole. My point is, Bama's last 10 years have been an incredible run in the most competitive era of the sport and the rest of the SEC is riding their achievement in the form of elevated rankings, perception, TV ratings, NFL draft picks and live rights contract money.
