  1. Atlanta, you're fired.
  2. Not sure if you are joking or not...it was one of those old places people used to drop off film for development. I mean regardless of what he hit, I think most teams boot you for a DWI these days. Also he got suspended over the summer for hitting his ex-gf and a cop. Allegedly. And in the Spring he got stabbed in a fight with a Texas hoops player. Dude had issues.
  3. Mackovic was one smug bastard. That Rice loss was terrible. Lots of shit happened in/around that game that make it unforgettable for me. First, it was a Sunday night game in the middle of the season for some reason so it was basically all alone in primetime on ESPN as there was no Sunday night NFL game then. Texas was top 10-15ish. Lost a close home game to a Colorado team that featured Slash (earlier in the season he beat Michigan on a 70 yard hail mary with no time left), soon to be Heisman winning RB Rashaan Salaam who would later kill himself and Rae Carruth who would later have his baby momma killed. But coming off an emotional RRS win with the Stonie Clark goal line stop. A few nights before the game a group of players were caught after hours on 6th street and got suspended for the game. The guys that got caught all happened to be black. Well, there were lots of white players out on 6th that night who did not get caught. This caused a lot of discord within the team and there was some talk of players sitting in protest, though that didn't happen. This was also the week Mike Adams 'fell asleep behind the wheel' and demolished a photo booth with Pinkney in the car with him, so they got sat too. Speaking of this, what a difference a few decades makes in how things are prosecuted/covered. If that happens today its a DWI and you're off the team. With a three decade win streak vs Rice on the line Texas shits the bed and loses 19-17. Westbrook goes down with a knee injury that ends his season. I recall a couple other dudes got hurt too. Aggie game that year got moved off of Thanksgiving because they were, wait for it, under sanction and could not be on TV, win the conference or go to a bowl. They embarrassed us at home but we get an SWC co-champ because of a 4-3 logjam and either favorable tie breaker rules or hell maybe there were more than 2 co-champs because of shitty tie breaker rules. Finished the season 8-4 with a Sun Bowl victory over Mack Brown's Tarheels.
  4. No, injuries and sharing a backfield with Ricky. True but Mackovic definitely did not know what he had in Holmes.
  5. I don't know man. The times we live in...not a lot of room for facts, just feelings. I think the NCAA grants his waiver.
  6. I don't like him at all and agree that there are a lot of intangibles working against him, but I think if his agent floats that he's all in for football, he'll be the first QB taken. And if I were him I would definitely choose football over baseball. I hate baseball though so there's that. But just the always on the road shit is not for me. NFL travel, and season, is so much less. Biggest reason though would be money. I heard from one of the sports pods I listen to that something like only 50% of players selected in the first round go on to play at least 3 years in MLB. 33% never play at all. It gets even worse when looking at college players taken in the first round, under 20% of them play at least 3 years in MLB. Contrast that with first round NFL deals and its a no-brainer to go football. Most 1st round draft picks end up getting all their money. Manziel is the outlier first round pick who gets cut before 4 years. Lots of them get the 5th year at a decent salary. So if he is the #1 overall pick and is Famous Jameis level of just ok, he's gonna pull 50 mil or so over 5 years. If he's actually good, 2nd and 3rd QB contracts in the NFL are fantastic and I think he has a far greater chance of landing in that territory versus the MLB guy getting in that money's neighborhood.
  7. Yeah she has some fake parts but Holly Sonders is pretty smoke to me. +rep to the person who said he lives a charmed life, that he does.
  8. His NFL comp is Travis Kelce IMO. Kelce is bigger, but not by all that much. They play the game similarly and the Chiefs put Kelce all over the field the same way we did with LJH. I think the Cardinals will grab him at the very top of the 3rd.
  9. He had maybe his best game against Tech...Kingsbury will have at least some say in who the Cardinals draft, I would not be surprised to see them reach a little for him. A year to learn under Larry Fitzgerald (if he returns) would be an amazing gift to any young WR.
  10. Actually, I did. Still think Alabama has this one under control.
  11. I am shocked the line is down to Alabama -5.5. They have completely dominated everyone they have played over the past two seasons except Georgia. I will be watching from start to finish but I will be surprised if its a close game.
  12. I mean, does he though? Manziel's play style did not seem coached to me. He had the throw to Mike Evans play and the beat them with your feet play. Mahomes got way better in the NFL. Mayfield left him. I do agree with you though, if the Cardinals hire him and he has a hand in getting Rosen on the right path, it will have been a good hire. I think Rosen is trash though and too smart for his own good and not physically gifted enough to make up for that, unlike Aaron Rodgers.
  13. I don't get the Kingsbury hype. At all. He was not good at Tech. He had a losing record. He had Mahomes, who looks like the best young QB in the NFL, starting for two seasons and they went 12-14. The Jets and the Cardinals wanting to interview him, given his record at Tech and the fact that he has no NFL coaching experience, is evidence those franchises are run poorly. I can see why Klifford is upset with USC/Lynn Swann, but paying his own buyout so he could interview strikes me as cutting off your nose to spite your face.
  14. I got the white Arabian you can get in the wild. Worth getting ASAP in Chap 2 IMO. I got the rose grey Arabian using that St Denis spawn point exploit, but they have since patched this out. I bought the Turkoman from St Denis in Chap 4 and that is the horse I ended up using the most. Much less skittish than the Arabians and the only thing that can kill it is a train. Not quite as fast and does not handle as well but it does both good enough.
  15. I doubt ESPN's left leaning bias had anything to do with this decision but as a decision, its a hilariously bad one. The content in the OP, when I read it, I thought for sure it was from a parody account or something, as in not real. ESPN just can not stop shooting themselves in the foot. Jason Witten is objectively terrible at the job they are paying him to do. No one likes him. Cowboys and Vols fans probably mute him. Why on Earth would anyone at ESPN think it would be a good job to have a feed of the CFP title game with him on it? Especially in replacement to probably the most popular alternative CFP feed there was? Cable TV as a bundled service is bleeding out. The canary in that particular coal mine died about a year ago. That is how ESPN makes money so they're fucked. Not to mention they overpaid for pretty much every live rights package they have, in some cases incredibly so. Disney is going to spin ESPN off for pennies on the dollar at some point. My guess would be Amazon or Netflix buys them.
  16. This. It took me forever to get a 3 star Badger pelt. Transition from Chapter 4 to 5 and then through 5 back to the mainland is the weakest part of the game IMO.
  17. What a great couple of days of football. I don't watch a lot of high school, usually just the title games and the two all star games. Whittington in the Cuero game was the most dominant performance I have seen in my life. He took over the game. Literally took it over. He scored from the wildcat their first offensive snap of the game but then they went away from that a little bit. Cuero was down 21-7 and the Cuero coaching staff did something Herman should take note of. They quit what was not working and ran Whittington in the wild cat for 90% of the offensive snaps. They realized they had the best athlete in the stadium, probably the best player in Texas, and they said fuck it give the ball to 3 every play and let him win this for us. Offensive and Defensive MVP of the game. He had 3 TDs called back or overruled via replay and he scored again on the subsequent play all 3 times. It was fucking incredible. If you have not watched this game, you really should try and catch a replay or hit it on YouTube Some highlights Full game (shitty stream quality, catching it on FSSW would be ideal) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFmTGkOO7CM Other thoughts: Small sample size but I don't get the hype behind Evans. He did not look like the best player on the field, not even close, let alone the best RB in the state. To me, Aledo's McClellan is clearly better. I've seen him beast in 3 straight title games. I thought the North Shore QB and 19 were pretty impressive. Hell of an ending.
  18. #6 looked pretty decent to me, just completely over shadowed by our guy. 3 star committed to Army apparently, Kieran Grant.
  19. 40 year old record. That's nuts.
  20. Fifth star has to be coming back at this point right?
  21. I think you can only see that on corpses small enough to pick up. Like anything you can skin or pickup to stow whole on the horse, will show you the quality of the corpse when you get in range and the context menu pops up in the lower right.
  22. Each animal has a recommended weapon to use to kill it. Most bigger animals you would need to use the rifle and be sure to headshot it. The trinket only makes it so you see more 3 star pelts. You still have to kill the animal properly. Without the trinket, to get a perfect pelt 3 things have to occur. 1) The animal has to be 3 star, 2) you have to kill it with the ideal weapon (in some cases there are multiple ideal weapons), and 3) you have to get a fatal hit on the first shot. With the trinket, you can mess up either 2 or 3 and still get a perfect pelt. You will know the trinket kicked in when you see the animal is now a 2 star corpse but the pelt/skin you harvest comes back perfect.
  23. His NFL comp is Travis Kelce. He's going to be very good.
  24. Yeah the crafting needed some more QA. It definitely is not explained well in game. Also, the Trapper and the Fence share access to materials globally...but Pearson has a separate inventory. This makes something already tedious, even more tedious. I will say that going for the Legends of the East satchel via Pearson is 100% worth it. This satchel lets you carry 99 of everything that stacks aside from ammo and things like dynamite. Watch a video on it that details what you need to kill and the ideal weapon/ammo for each kill. Also, perfect alligator skin to the Trapper makes a really nice saddle and its super easy to do if you have been to St Denis. Tons of gators right outside the city, easy to find a 3 star and easy to head shot a gator with a rifle as they pretty much don't move ever unless you get close to them. Trapper in town, pick the saddle up at the stable.
  25. CCGs are stupid and they can just as easily screw a conference out of a CFP spot as they can solidify one. Get rid of them and go to an 8 team playoff. Season does not get any longer that way. Also, get rid of divisions. With SEC soft scheduling, each team only plays their non-rival in the other division once every six years. Absurd. It's how we are playing Georgia before aggie. The P5 conferences should all have to play 9 conference games and a team should have to play 11 FBS games to be eligible for playoff consideration.
