  1. Absolutely. Agree with the DR., the ending of 3 was very disappointing. I bought a 360 to play the first one. Money well spent. Andromeda (4th game not in the LE) is definitely the weak link but honestly I found it at least worth the money and I got close to finishing it.

12 tackles 6 TFL 3 sacks and a forced fumble...holy shit. Won the game in OT. Hard pressed to think of a more dominant defensive player performance in recent memory. As in, I can't.
  3. Speaking of CPUs, I got by with a first gen i5 760 modestly overclocked to 3Ghz for literally almost a decade, purchased fall 2010. Same mobo the whole time too. I upgraded video cards like 3 times and power supply once and put an SSD in at some point. I finally got something new a few months ago. Point is, CPU really doesn't matter much at all. GPU and then SSD are by far the biggest bang for the buck parts.
  4. It's surprising how many people think he should have scored. Not scoring was 100% the correct football play. It guaranteed victory. See Tech game. If that RB sits down at the goal line after his long run, instead of scoring, they win. See Penn State-Indiana today. Running out the clock TO END THE GAME > adding points to the scoreboard and giving the opponent the ball back. Cade Brewer knew this. Did Mensa Tom is the real question.
  5. lol Penn State gives a fuck. Probably.
  6. Not scoring was the correct football play. If the Tech RB that broke that long TD run late had sat his ass down on the 1 yard line instead of scoring, they win that game and we don't. Cade Brewer has a higher football IQ than Mensa Tom.
  7. Waddle for 80K seems like a steal.
  8. I agree with you but I think just given all the other circumstances, if it was going to happen before then it would have already happened. Bye week, Baylor up next likely getting post-poned, perfect time to shit can him and name an interim while you work out the details with you know who. Didn't happen though. So just going with the simplest explanation I'd guess you know who isn't interested or the money for all of it just isn't there right now.
  9. Tom's buyout a paltry 15 mil and change on 12/1/20. Hopefully that date is circled on someone's calendar...
  10. Watched The Babysitter. Only knew about it because the sequel, The Babysitter: Killer Queen is out recently. The movie is great IMO. Campy slasher film. Said Babysitter is a smoke show. I don't normally enjoy campy or slasher so my bar was very low going into this which likely resulted in me calling this great instead of just good. Looking forward to the sequel.
  11. Played some over the weekend. Enough to get a full party (4 in this game) and get midway through character level 2 (EA is capped at level 4). It's an ok game but it feels WAY more like a Divine Divinity OS game than a BG game, and not because of the turn based combat. Its all the goddamn surface and physics effects. There are lots of places you have to jump. Too many barrels filled with oil. And it seems that every elemental damage item or spell leaves some kind of surface effect even if its only under the target. I thought this was out of hand by the second OS. It's not as bad here but its noticeable and takes away from the DND 5E experience...which is new to me btw...I'm not sure what the last DND CRPG I played was but I don't think it was 5E. There is a visual dice roll mechanic when you attempt skill checks in conversations, its pretty cool but it encourages save scumming IMO. Also you get stuck with whatever character did the talking (or was talked to) so like if you need wizardy type skill check but your fighter started the conversation, SOL. I don't like that. Inventory is a mess. 95% of the containers in the world are empty and 50% of the loot you pick up is trash, and not even vendor trash due to each character having a Strength influenced carry limit. The spell effects are pretty varied and well done. FWIW I have a 2060 and had a lot of graphics issues with their native Vulkan engine until I upgraded to the latest Nvidia driver. They also have a DX11 option that did work for me but its not as good looking IMO. I'm sure I will play again but I'm not jonesing for it which says a lot about the game. DND game with turn based combat is 100% my wheelhouse. Does anyone remember Temple of Elemental Evil? I played the shit out of that and that game SUCKED outside of the combat engine. Lastly, aside from the limited number of classes (just 6) and the content and level cap...it does not feel like an early access title to me. Like if I had just bought the game sight unseen, knowing nothing about OS or BG, I would be thinking this was a 'finished' game at the point I am at. Which is not to say its flawless by any means but just that it has more polish and less bugs than other release day games I've played.
  12. Yeah this is kind of me. I am sure I will play it at some point though. It's hard to believe BG2 came out 20 years ago. It immediately became my favorite CRPG of all time, at the time. I should be more enthusiastic about BG3 given that. Even though I enjoyed both of the OS games, I'm not sure this a game Larian can knock out of the park. The OS games had a level of...whimsy? that doesn't belong in a BG game but I'm afraid will be.
  13. Early Access version live today. 83G download on Steam.
  14. He actually lost to UConn his first season at UH.
  15. First time OU has lost twice in a row since 99. Lol how nice for them. More proof Tom isn't the guy. Without looking it up I'd bet he's lost twice in a row his first 3 years here and its probably only a matter of time to make that 4 for 4.

    Sam Ehlinger

My bad I'm pretty tuned up over this. I'd like a bourbon, thank you.

    Sam Ehlinger

This is probably the dumbest shit I've read on here all day. I love Major. I am in the Major>Simms camp. That said, there is fucking no way he was better at Texas than Sam. Your other two mentions don't even warrant a comment. But I will comment. Brown...are you kidding me? If you seriously think he was a better QB than Sam at Texas then we don't speak the same language and can't have a discussion. Gardere beat OU 4 times and that's awesome but he was in no way better than Sam outside of that OU W-L record.
  18. I was stunned this was 14-14 at one point. Aggy offense vastly overperformed my expectations. Waddle is so fucking good. Whatever NFL team gets him next year, look out. Dude is a difference maker.

    Sam Ehlinger

I mean, yeah. Patterson is a better coach than Herman. You disagree? Sam is setting records here. Is Duggan going to do that at TCU? Honestly, I have no fucking idea because I don't follow them. Maybe he is relatively better for them than Sam is for us, but I highly doubt it. Sam is the third best QB Texas has had in the 40 years I've been watching. Not good enough for you? He's not the reason we lost today even though he had a bad game.
  20. Hozz

    Sam Ehlinger

I don't think so unless you want to say all the players had some responsibility which is of course technically true. The reason we lost was shit coaching. If you want to blame a player, the player to blame is Ingram not Ehlinger.

    Sam Ehlinger

This is a shit take. Duggan had a great game. He's not going to play like that most weeks and TCU will be lucky to be a .500 team. If Duggan ever has a season, numbers wise, better than Sam, I'll be shocked. This game was typical TCU v Texas in the Big 12 era, Patterson coaching circles around our fucking idiots.
  22. Hozz

    Sam Ehlinger

Sam is a great college QB. He had an off day today accuracy wise but he was in no way responsible for the loss. He's our best player and its not at all close. This was, 100%, a coaching loss. Our coaches are letting these players down all week long and then especially on game day with retard level football IQ decisions.
  23. That is Charlie Strong levels of bad. For such a smart guy, Herman fucks up easy shit every game that fans on the couch can diagnose. His performance against inferior talent is indefensible at this point. He must go.
  24. Not only that but he was stuffed and on a pile. The ball was over the 1.5 yard line when he tried the extension...even if he had maintained control no way was the ball crossing the plane. He should not have even been in the game though and we should have been running clock not running tempo. Our coaches have a lower football IQ than drunk fans. Its fucking sad.
  25. What a shit show of a game. So many fucking flags. The first quarter was almost unwatchable. Despite all the numerous fuck ups, we should have won the game once we got that three point lead late. An average high school coaching staff could have protected that lead at that point in the game with our talent. This was a game that showed, without a doubt, that our coaches suck during the week and even more so on game day. Calling two runs with 55 seconds left to end the first half. 1:28 was enough time to throw the ball with no timeouts, but 55 seconds was not? Is that in the fucking binder? WRs that consistently run routes a yard or two short of the line to gain. This shit is maddening and its coachable. Shit tackling and taking bad angles in pursuit. Every defensive snap there's a chance I'll snap. New coaching staff, same shitty fundamentals Playing to keep a lead instead of to score. When we ran, and then ran the fucking option on first and then second down from our own 7, up 3 with like 6:30 left, I knew we were fucked. I had hope, but I knew at the same time. Oh and then to cap the 3 and out Jake Smith runs a route 2 yards short. Good job coach. And then of course TCU takes the lead back on perhaps the worst defensive call of the season so far. What kind of alignment was that versus a QB that you called the most Sam Ehlinger QB in the Big 12 on the game winning TD? Jesus Christ. Ball security. I mean, you're on the 1.5 yard line on a pile why are you trying to extend the football? Don't fumble on the goal line and we win the game. And why are we going tempo here in the first place? What the fuck? The ending was Patterson taking a huge shit on Herman's masked up face. He knew the rules and the clock and rather than punt like pretty much every other coach would have, he dunked on Herman like Pippen over Ewing. And then when the refs didn't know the rules, they trusted Patterson to help them out and changed like the fourth call in the game at his direction. Fucking absurd. Fuck this shit and fuck this guy. He is convinced he is smarter than everyone, but is constantly fucking up easy shit.
