  1. You're right, I thought he was mentioned as a freshman in 2021. Everything I looked up now showed 2023. In that case if they wanted to get him it would be Williams who portals unless they convinced him to stay and fight with Filsaime for a spot in 2025.
  2. Taafe was our best safety and most likely a backup next year. One of Barron or Mukuba will be at safety and we'll have a 2nd year Derek Williams. So if you take this guy it's mostly likely in place of Derek Williams and then you risk Williams transferring for a 1 year rental. Just don't think the upside is worth losing Williams and all that money that could be used to shore up the DT spot and TE. Starting 5 DBs of Barron, Muhammad, Mukuba, Williams, and either Washington Muhammad or Brooks looks pretty salty. Way better than last season.
  3. He's not coming for free. We're not paying out the ass to add another DB especially if we land Muhammad. Just isn't happening.
  4. Not worried but the staff as an idea that we don't on who they can get to bail after spring. I'm sure they're taking guys now based on that number.
  5. We aren't going after Downs. With Barron back we're pretty much set in the DB room for now except for taking the home run swing at Muhammad at corner. We have a big incoming freshman class with Filsaime looking probable to be able to back up one of the safety spots. Taafe got a lot of unwarranted shit on here, he played very well last season and got blamed for a lot of other people making errors in reads or just in communication. Mostly Thompson and Crawford. Only real need is DT and I expect Sark and Wright or whoever the new DT coach is to go full on into it either in spring portal or one of these special portals if more coaches leave. The plan is probably to get Niblack or Yurasek now then put everything into DT. With Robinson bailing on us they're at 87 scholarships now, and 88 if they plan on giving Auburn one for his great production. 89 if Muhammad comes in, 90 if a TE comes in. They're going to need 5+ deep bench guys to bail to the portal after spring ball.
  6. "I don't know how Joe Paterno can claim to know so much about football and so little about butt raping little boys in his locker room"
  7. Gibson definitely looks like the thunder to all the 4.4 speed lightning Sark is bringing in. Crazy to think Cook's 10.9 speed 100 makes him the slow guy among the top 5 receivers now.
  8. So Clark is middle and Gibson on right. Who are other 3?
  9. That might jump up if Harbaugh bails to the NFL and Michigan's roster gets Bama'd
  10. Dude is from Florida. He has no reason to commit to TEXAS, so of course he committed to the coaches. Once Harbaugh leaves to the NFL to run away from his cheating scandal like Pete Carroll, and another round of 30 day portal madness opens, Sark and his new DL coach will find a portal take to fill this spot. It's not ideal to have to replace guys on the DL in the portal but after spring there will also be some smaller G5 or Big 12/ACC/weak P2 teams that will have a grad transfer standout DT looking to upgrade his NFL scout visibility on a top program.
  11. Would be kind of funny after the big deal everyone made about him coming back to teach Gideon and Joseph how to coach
  12. Have both within 5 minute drive. There are a few things I go to Costco for but 80 percent of the stuff I get at these places (toilet paper, bottled water, tide pods, cascade, etc) I get from Sam's simply because it's so much faster to get in and out when you can scan and pay on your phone then skip the checkout lines. Why Costco hasn't invested in this yet is beyond me. Gas is the same at both places. Produce is surprisingly good quality at both considering Walmarts have shit produce. Sam's does a shrimp cevice that's become a family dinner staple.
  13. Blame Saban for retiring after the portal closed. Should have retired the day after the playoff loss.
  14. Lulz, Wingo aint starting over Cook. There was nothing in there about starting. It was a change of pace package to go 10 personnel with the most speed you can get on the field. Cook is a 10.8 or 10.9 guy and Wingo is a 10.6 guy at 6'2". He's a physical beast and that sort of personnel package would be a great way to get him on the field with a safety or 3rd/4th corner on him in his freshman year. Matchup nightmare for anyone in the country.
  15. Sark is clearly trying to set up a version of that offense he had Alabama. QB who can make accurate throws with 3 or 4 dudes on the field at all times that can run in the 4.4s. Wonder how his preferred replacement formations will be if we don't get a receiving TE replacement. Will he still stick to a lot of 11 personnel? Or get a little crazy with 10 or even 20 personnel sets? A fully spread out or bunch formation of Golden, Bolden, Bond, Wingo, and Blue would have ridiculous speed on the field. Then could sub Wisner and Cook in and still have a ton of speed. It's getting to the point there's no way to use all that speed enough. The offense is going to look very different next season, and if the line and Ewers take a next step up it'll be eating SEC defenses up similar to how Sark did the last time he was in the conference.
  16. It amazes me there are some people who don't get it. How many decades does it take? HC after HC and QB after QB it never changes. It's all from the terrible culture instilled from the very top that leaks down and contaminates the organization. It's the exact same reason aggy hasn't won since Hitler was screaming at rallies. It's not something that has any measurements or stats and doesn't show up on any metrics, but it's more impactful to winning than any stat out there. Sark, CDC, and Hartzell know it and spent a ton of time getting it built correctly. Until the poison at the top is removed no winning culture can grow.
  17. No need. SF is going to murder this Packers team. Their average age is younger than Casey Thompson. This is possibly the most embarrassing loss in Cowboys history given the opponent and situation.
  18. He might already be in Seattle. That might be a hologram in the booth
  19. The shit culture of this franchise is even turning Micah into a soft quitter. He better leave before his career goes down the drain
  20. Game over. Great regular season, playoff chokers, fire everyone, blow up the Star with the Joneses in it. Fuck you, good night
  21. The transformation of Dak into Romo is 100 percent complete. Playoff game interceptions and dropped interceptions with prime time level choking. I used to think Romo was just a born choker but now I see anyone who plays for this rotten franchise is destined for this. Tom Brady would have been a playoff choker with zero titles if the Cowboys had drafted him.
  22. They're going to SF next week and getting physically abused and dispatched
  23. He'd blow a gasket and stab Jerry and Stephen in the neck with a kicking tee. So yes please
  24. It'll be a different defense next year. Quinn is going to Seattle most likely
