  1. Not a bad choice, but my old hometown favorite has always been Snapka's drive in. In business for 60+ years and their dixie burger is one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Having grown up two blocks from the original Whataburger, Corpus Christi has had some great burger history.
  2. UTEP-ugly tackling every play.
  3. Malcolm Brown is getting it done. Cowboys D getting fooled on the same play over and over. Jerrah gonna be wishing Jason was still here.
  4. Re-watched the documentary "Stop Making Sense" with David Byrne and Talking Heads from 1984. This is one I can never get enough of and still amazed at the outstanding work done by Jonathan Demme.
  5. Paging Art Briles, Mr. Briles please report back to the scene of your glory (hole) days.
  6. Yes sir, seven days a week.
  7. Wanted to send all of you who are interested in a 7am zoom meeting the information from the Harbor Group here in FW. Here is where I found the answer and many others have as well. Please feel free to join us as we trudge the road to happy destiny seven days a week. Yours truly will be chairing on Saturdays in September. While we are now meeting once again in the building at 3000 W. 5th, space is limited and masks required. Y'all stay safe this holiday weekend. ID:965-7691-7731 Password: harbor7am
  8. My catfish go to is Catfish Sam's on Division in Arlington. Worth the drive and priced right. Straight out of the 50's decor but great catfish, hush puppies, etc.
  9. The shirt-which is why I shortened your quote.
  10. Maybe that's why it was 90% off!!!
  11. Well DAYUUUM. Haven't been here in a few days and just read about your situation. Know this-after finishing this entry, I will ask for God's best for you and continue to do so every morning until you announce your results. Thanks for sharing your experience, as painful as it may be.
  12. I saw one years ago that said, "Jesus saves, Esposito on the assist." Should have bought it.
  13. I'm a prodigal son. This description is the one I would say I relate to most and my answer to those who would judge my anger, hurt, mistrust, etc., towards the God of my understanding need to get a bigger God. I have come to believe that grace given is the path to grace received and try to live that way. Pretty sure the Creator knows His creation is imperfect and doesn't expect us to live up to the unrealistic expectations often placed on us by various groups. A daily routine of reading spiritual literature, meditating, and praying has served me well in my return to the almighty as it has those I am closest to. I am comforted in knowing that my future days are likely to be more serene if I continue the journey in this way, just as the opposite is also true.
  14. Once or twice when we lived in Berkeley. Friendly family owns it but it was hit or miss on the quality. George's has for years been my favorite Greek restaurant.
  15. Opted for Enchiladas Ole on the patio this evening. The Vaquero is my go to and once again it smashed and went hard. Nice breeze and zero humidity in August definitely makes eating outside a good option. Parking lot was packed but we were seated immediately and were served within 15 minutes (got there at 6:10pm).
  16. I haven't had a Roosevelt Special in a while and now am curious about these puffy tacos. Gonna have to check it out.
  17. Shoulda worn those masks!
  18. When the last of my Kingsford is gone, I am going to give this a try. Glad to know what reviews are saying are true based on your input.
  19. No tears for Buffalo West-wife had her company Christmas party there a couple of years and it was meh.
  20. The former Cactus Flower restaurant occupied the space in the early 2000's where the Austin Street taco $19 breakfast is served. Sure miss the breakfast they used to serve for under $6-kinda like the Paris Coffee shop on Magnolia or Olde Neighborhood Grill. Reviews from friends made this taco joint a no for me.
  21. Flores and Panther City have my vote for best in Cowtown. Agree with the sad since we are close to Clearfork and that was a weekly given
  22. That drive on 18 was MAMMOTH!
  23. Recovered nicely.
  24. Congratulations on two months. As an HR manager, I am pleased that you receive benefits. I have found that the saying there are no coincidences applies to every good thing that has happened in my life since becoming a sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
  25. Those ain't fireworks on the Northside-firearms more likely!!
