  1. Jesus, the average age of people in that room must be 85. Which beats their average IQ
  2. Why do Texas fans scroll texags? I like to know what the right is freaking out about so I can arm myself before I see my parents on the weekends. My mom voted for Trump twice, but generally avoids talking about it because she's so embarrassed at what a dipshit Trump is. Stepfather, father, and in laws are all full blown MAGAt and love them some Tucker. If I watch the intro to Tucker Carlson -- or can stomach 15 minutes of Michael Berry on the way to meet them -- I can be forewarned what the discussion will entail.
  3. It was on Tucker last night. Apparently the US is in a race with the Aussies to see who can be the mostest Communistest Socialistest country ever. Oz in the lead because they are restricting booze too.
  4. I believe Aggy was 13-0. Vandy felt they were not academically sufficient. Apparently Mizzou as well.
  5. Hernandez's shitty calls aside, Bielak sucks.
  6. Maybe I missed something but I never got why anyone suspected Guy Pierce. He has the most rock solid alibi of anyone - he was railing Mare while the murder happened, right? There wasn't time for him to do both, because Mare got home at like 2 or 3 in the morning. Her mom even called her out on coming home so late.
  7. I remember a certain other poster (who DEFINITELY isn't Macklemore) having a weird obsession with the WSJ letters to the editor. Who was that poster again?...
  8. https://www.dailypress.com/news/dp-xpm-19970114-1997-01-14-9701140025-story.html Sorry I worded it poorly. Here's an explanation of how Watson and Alexander blew it in 1997.
  9. My memory is hazy so some of the details here might be a bit off, but the gist of this is correct: Houston didn't get an NHL team because of a pissing match between Les Alexander (the former owner of the Rockets) and Chuck Watson (the owner of the Aeros, landlord for the old Rockets Arena, and the man who had the rights to a Houston hockey team). Alexander felt that Watson was overcharging him on rent at the Summit. Alexander also got the rights to the Toyota Center when it opened. To be petty he charged Watson exorbitant rent to play at Toyota Center. The Aeros moved to Des Moines because they refused to pay so much in rent, despite having the third(or so) highest attendance in the AHL. Alexander eventually sold the Rockets to Tillman Fertitta, who also has the rights to any NHL team in Houston, so things are at least smoothed out as far as ownership. That being said the NHL has shown a tendency to place expansion teams in cities with no other sports teams rather than the major pro city/cities in their state (ie Columbus and Raleigh Durham). Still, the fact that Houston has an ownership group and arena already in place is a pretty big leg up, along with the population and wealth in the city. Fertitta bought the Rockets too late for Houston to be considered for expansion (and Seattle was a virtual lock anyway), but there has been a lot of talk about the Coyotes moving to Houston (Kansas City and Quebec are the two other names that come upmost frequently for relocation).
  10. 5. I went from Phoenix, Arizona all the way to Tacoma (WA). Philadelphia (PA) Atlanta (GA), LA (CA) But yeah, Reagan is the obvious one.
  11. Yeah this team doesn't have a track record of coming back from a 3-0 deficit or anything
  12. But he had errors in the last two games. That's what happens when you aren't stealing signs. Or something.
  13. Damn you aren't kidding about not hearing anything from these dudes when they take their posts. Carson still heads HUD. Herman Cain is who you're thinking of.
  14. That's a gouda idea. Can't treat this election Havartidly. There's no whey Trump pulls it out if we all show up
  15. LMAO Fox "reporter" just said that Trump was debating two people tonight (which is true. Trump was yelling and interrupting everyone). Then said both were spreading the pernicious Charlottesville hoax and that Trump didn't call them very fine people but denounced them forcefully. Something Trump wouldn't even do at the debate.
  16. Yes they can. However electors from that state cannot vote for them. So if Wyoming votes for Kanye (LOL) their electoral voters would have to choose someone else.

  18. So glad they're back. I need some Astros baseball right now in the worst way.
  19. Good God this album is straight fire. Taking a damn sledgehammer to the system
