  1. These leaders can’t afford to just par the par 5s. They have to at least birdie those.
  2. Outside of Scottie’s eagle, it’s a blood bath out there.
  3. If you want to see one of the greatest cinematic achievements ever, the 7 Up Series is for you. Starting in 1964 when they were 7, they have visited with the same 15 or so people every 7 years to see how they have changed. They aired 63 Up in 2019, so they have done 9 episodes. It's enthralling and unexpected every time. Some depressing and sad parts, but also some beautiful changes throughout their lives. The overall concept is that you can show a child at 7 and you can tell who they will be when they are older. Basically a nature/nurture experiment for the last 60 years. Some of that has seemed the same while others have varied wildly. It's truly incredible to watch the whole thing. The main filmmaker (Michael Apted) died a couple of years ago, but I really hope they keep it going. It can be hard to find them all, but it's worth it.
  4. This could be a dumb question, but why do they require at least one tire change? That seems like it could be an interesting strategy wrinkle at certain tracks.
  5. What's up with Day's pants? Was he inspired by the TJ/Melo/Perk commercial?
  6. Thanks for posting. Super interesting. We need to reconcile with our past to work towards a better future at UT.
  7. We got about 10 minutes of hail at Balcones and 2222. Not quite golfball but bigger than I had seen in years. I was worried my skylights were about to crack. Loud as shit.
  8. They know that our alums have a lot of expendable money to waste.
  9. About to come here and say something similar. They left it in a good spot with some storylines closed and some open. It would be a good place to stop. I just don't know what kind of traction this has gotten. It seems pretty light, but I could be wrong. Season 2 was terrific throughout though. Fuck that FBI lady.
  10. Man, he hates that so much. Got out of there ASAP. I felt like the seasons after the long break after season 8 were really uneven. Leon was pretty hit or miss and he was the most common foil to Larry. I think Cheryl’s incredulousness was missed. That said, the finale was great and it went out on a high
  11. Clark is obviously the best on her team but she has been pressing for most of the 4th.
  12. Seems weird. Maybe they’re talking about refunding of the deposits to get a Cybertruck?
  13. Can I ask where you get your info from? Legitimately curious. “Cancer doctors/nutritionists just don’t want to get involved in preventing cancer” isn’t going to make me throw the advice I have gotten in the trash, but I could be convinced to keep a better eye on carbs/sugar.
  14. I've asked multiple doctors and nutritionists specifically about sugar intake. This includes doctors and nutritionists at MD Anderson. They all say natural sugars are good, but it's good to stay away from added sugars. Mostly, due to added sugars just being unhealthy and cancer appearing/recurring in unhealthy individuals. Not a direct link. Just FYI on my discussions but others may have heard differently.
  15. CC from Little Hurricane isn't the best drummer ever, but she has other talents. Namely, being hot as fuck
  16. Legitimately one of the coolest live music stories I've ever heard. Maybe the coolest. Definitely a story your whole family will be sharing for years on end. That said, I am laughing at your daughter telling her friends that story. "That's awesome! What did the hat say?" She looks down, shuffles her feet and sheepishly mutters, "a trucker hat with 'I love girls' on it".
  17. Hill thinks Houston’s best player should sit out against Duke? Strange….
  18. Cryer had to make that lay up. Brutal miss.
  19. Giving a shit goes a long way
  20. Did I hear them say Vescovi has the flu and is in the locker room? Am I crazy or should they get him the fuck out of there?
  21. We are donors at The Paramount and they had an event on Wednesday. They screened "20 Feet From Stardom", which I hadn't seen in a decade. About backup singers throughout the decades. It is so good and joyful. A wonderful watch.
  22. Christ, Love was completely useless that game. What a no show.

    SXSW 2024

That makes total sense. Their 25-30 years is very varied. That said, they have Britt's voice and the just off-kilter sound dissonance and soundscape maximalism that is always unmistakably Spoon.
