  1. Bought flipped house last May, started noticing damp hardwood flooring in the master bedroom, localized behind the master bathroom shower wet wall...baseboard probably compromised as well, but drywall seems ok. Maybe a leaky pipe fitting from age or shoddy renovation, maybe drain seepage (had to call Roto-Rooter in October for a backup issue), maybe go fuck myself. I could possibly play dumb with insurance on the "reasonable diligence" piece, but I'm guessing the flooring damage has visibly progressed enough that they won't hear it..deductible might render it moot anyway. In any case, it's time to get moving on repair/restoration. Is it worth trying to file a claim? What's the rough out-of-pocket cost to identify/repair source, restore area, and replace 7ft of baseboard and ~20sf of hardwood floor?..I have plenty of spare flooring, if that helps. Anyone have a guy or Dalworth/Servpro-type recommendation in the Dallas/Lake Highlands area? TIA.
  2. Though ironically, lack of communication (among the flight crew) was the primary factor that ultimately allowed that crash to occur.
  3. Yes, I understand that deals can be found, but false/misleading advertising makes me surly...if the highest cost on your redemption table for a given region pair is X miles (and labeled anytime), then you shouldn't be quoting fares at 2-3x that amount. I'm just curious if this is the way they've always operated, or if it's a temporary strategy to discourage bookings that don't generate new revenue. Full disclosure: not a high mileage earner, honeymoon is the only trip I've ever booked on miles (DFW-MXP and ZRH-DFW, two J tickets for ~335k total).
  4. Has AA always been shiesty with mileage redemption awards, or is this a "feature" of their post-COVID financial situation? Award chart says 135k for J/F US-Europe AAnytime Level 2, but a few random searches showed 400k. 1.6 MILLION miles roundtrip for my wife and I??..fuck that. And I know oneworld is the value play, but the LHR passenger duty can eat a dick.
  5. Ah yes, the ol' 10-yard cushion on 3rd-and-2. Let's keep practicing that...
  6. Voice will probably be the only missing piece. Depending on MU's maintenance program, most of their aircraft flight data is likely transmitted to the airline/Boeing via ACARS.
  7. Glide capability in a zero-power condition is a primary design requirement for any certificated airplane.
  8. Assuming no structural failure, I would expect to see a glide. Wings would still be generating lift. If this RoC data is accurate, it was a HARD nose-over...
  9. Pics and drone footage from crash site...other than a small winglet section, nothing recognizable beyond the impact crater. Scary shit.
  10. Despite the obvious caveat that over half the '22 Class and Mathis (presumably) have yet to hit campus, the fact we're still debating Ovie vs. Jett Bush does not give me hope for the season.
  11. I guess I'm the asshole. Forgot he was IMG...the STL hometown threw me off, most just list Bradenton.
  12. Show me a recruit enrolled at IMG Academy, and I'll show you a recruit who will never pick Texas.
  13. If you're still looking a year from now, hit me up. We bought a fresh reno that checks all your boxes, but life is forcing us to upgrade again...waiting out the two years for tax purposes though.
  14. With NIL now in play, I will be dropping some serious coin to get these guys back on track.
  15. I guess, it's been tracking the commodity price pretty closely.
  16. USO taking it today, no lube.
  17. Meh, wake me up when he stays through spring break to hang with the team. That’s when you know they’re serious.
  18. Eh, we didn’t want to be there. (Am I doing this right?)
  19. Came here to post this and pile on the pimp coat circus. I know it makes me sound like an old, but I absolutely love that our guys are all clean cut and businesslike compared to the Fightin’ Kenny Powerses we seem to play every fucking week.
  20. I don’t recall them saying “average.” It was poorly worded, they were trying to say Texas pitchers didn’t jump off the screen tonight (velo, curve, etc.)…but quickly followed it with an “obviously good enough for 1 hit and 0 runs through 7 innings.” Definitely glossed over the fact this is our midweek platoon though.
