  1. Hell, I would even go so far as to say it's really 3/3a/3b/3c when you add in UC-D. Realistically, the 7th best UC school is, at worst, on par with the 2nd best Texas school.
  2. Wasn't trying to be pissy or play gotcha, but I get that was what I conveyed. My bad, but appreciate the response.
  3. @Sbbruin, obviously you are under no obligation to answer, but just curious. Do you think what the Dodgers did is not cheating? Cheating but not as big of a deal / impact? Cheating but everyone does it? Other?
  4. Ah yes, just the normal "either shredding contracts before MLB saw them or doctoring documents before sending them to the Office of the Commissioner" to violate Cuban embargos was done purely as a humanitarian gesture. There was certainly no goal of gaining a competitive advantage by breaking clearly established rules. To suggest otherwise would imply that they were cheating, which we know is impossible. After all, I'm sure that every organization keeps a handy Excel sheet demonstrating just how criminal their employees are:
  5. Umm, no. He's one of the poster children for "Can't talk about masks! that's CR!" and drive-by negging of any vaccine discussion (along with @Chief Ouray). Both big-time Covid-19 deniers.
  6. Just a point that hippies may still be saying Ulla but the cool kids are all into the UllaDubUlla. But definitely plus rep for one of the finest and cheesiest albums of the 70's. Would love to have been in the studio for the direction: "Days of Future Passed, but more so".
  7. Also, immamac is a fucking tool who thinks rolling coal where people are eating is harmless and funny.
  8. While I largely agree with you, someone doesn't remember the 2004 Lakers with Karl Malone, Derek Fisher, and Gary Payton.
  9. I remember learning it as "What does an Italian do after banging his foot on a door?". Not sure that it would be taught that way still...
  10. Does it feel better rooting for an organization that engaged in human trafficking while keeping a spreadsheet ranking their employees' criminal behavior? Cause yeesh, that would be pretty bad also.
  11. Not sure if I am more triggered by lack of legend for the three lines or by lack of @Anastasis pointing it out before me.
  12. Yeah but the only reason he abused so many victims is his running ability. In a wheelchair he would have been helpless to abuse.
  13. I totally get that you can have that read about people in your social group / work setting, etc., but how can you possible assert that about GOP voters as a whole? There is evidence that is becoming more important to the GOP through school board rants, conservative media, local elections, etc., so do you have ANY evidence that it is not true? Again, not for you and/or those you personally know, but for the average GOP voter? Where is the resistance to show that it is NOT effective?
  14. Fair enough. Meant it in a joking manner but it didn't come off that way. Tone.
  15. I'm giving you the finger because October 8, 2005 beats this. On that day VY buttfucked OU 45-12, and later that day Astros beat the fucking Braves in the playoffs (day before the 18 inning game). I honestly don't remember any of the other games, so maybe aggy beat whoever the hell they played by 50, but it don't make a shit. Still better.
  16. Well I'm glad that you took the time to edit the post, so that there was no misunderstanding. For the record, nobody said "fag". There was queer, gay, lesbian, but no fag. Not sure the reaction in your post was warranted, but you do you. Hope you do have a good semester.
  17. You know how you don't like it when people say retard, even in jest?
  18. It's been said many times already but shit, this really is awesome. I am looking forward to spreading the love to other positions as this becomes even more established. Just a great job getting this up and running, and props to all who have signed up already.
  19. Eh, this was relatively harmless but still not good form playing bits on retail workers / servers. The poor bastard answering the phone has enough shit to deal with. Punch up, not down.
  20. Umm, I don't know why. Are you referring to SARS? Common colds? Something else?
  21. No, I'm sure this is just part of the group that @slorch knows is fighting to keep kids at home. After all, he said so several times, huge groups of people fighting tooth and nail to avoid sending their kids to school. Of course, when asked several times to indicate who any of these people are, there was no response, but by Jove I think you'll find them now!
  22. I think it's clear that @midtown is stating that the data-driven forecast means no specific new assumptions / intelligence are built into the forecast (e.g. it is purely taking historical trends and applying), as opposed to a prediction which may take things like school openings, mask policy, etc., into account. This doesn't mean that the data-driven forecast is better or worse, just that underlying assumptions are not specifically adjusted for a new forecast.
