  1. Its just extra flavor.
  2. Here's my contribution.
  3. Seems like this thread should see some activity.
  4. I had walking pneumonia in high school (during track season) and it sounded like this. Wake up ok, make it through school then track workouts, end up feverish every night. I got weaker and weaker during the course of the season. Coach didn't believe I was really sick since I could make it through workouts. Eventually it caught up to me.
  5. These dates are in Portland - 3/7 - The Shivas 5/15 - The Pretenders and Journey 5/23 - Foals, Local Natives, and Cherry Glazerr 7/8 - The Black Keys and Gary Clark Jr.

  8. I used to work for the AV company that supplies the sound equipment/labor for SXSW so I've been around a lot of musicians. Rode in the freight elevator with Ice Cube and his posse. He was smaller than I expected but friendly. Asked for some restaurant recommendations. Same elevator with Lou Reed. He wasn't as nice - more of a complete burnout. Had trouble speaking in complete/coherent sentences. At Stubb's we used to put a little video camera on the stairwell that led up to the VIP area during SXSW. Really, we had the best seats in the house. Nobody around us and a bar at the bottom of the stairs. Loved those gigs. Anyway, we ran a cat-5 line across the street to a little house that Charles Attal had so the other bands could watch the performances. Was over there one time locking up the camera after a show and literally ran into Kevin Drew (singer for Broken Social Scene). We bumped beers and said "cheers!". Nice guy. Chilled out with Britt Daniel at a Foals/Black Keys show at Stubbs. I'll think of more later.

    Shit My Kid Says

Driving home this afternoon and my 8 year old boy asks for my phone from the back seat. I ask "what do you need it for?" to which he replies, "something". Mmhmm. I hand him the phone and he asks how to get the Bluetooth to work. I change the settings on the stereo and let him know he can play whatever song he wants. This is what came out of the speakers: "dada how was your morning poop and how was your night time poop and was it a whopper [emoji90][emoji90] [emoji90][emoji90] [emoji90][emoji90] [emoji90] [emoji90] [emoji90][emoji90] [emoji90][emoji90] [emoji90][emoji90] [emoji90][emoji90] [emoji90][emoji90] [emoji90][emoji90] [emoji90] and more poop oh and dada do you like poop and more poop ? and does mama like poop well mama better like poop right? butt I like poop and pee and farts and butts" Apparently he was fooling with Google translate. Got to hear this gem repeatedly for the next 15 minutes of our drive. I really only have myself to blame.
  16. I live in Vancouver, WA and dig it. Basically a suburb of Portland, Oregon but with 250,000 people complete with a downtown, restaurants, breweries, weed shops and a quick hop over to Oregon for the airport, world class restaurants and concerts. WA has no income tax. OR has no sales tax. Live in WA, shop in OR. The schools are pretty good. My son is enrolled in the Mandarin Immersion program at a local (public) elementary school. Portland has a track - https://www.portlandraceway.com/ There are mountains, rivers, great summers, and mild temperatures. The winters are gray and rainy but its not as bad as people think. Just gives you more time to drink whiskey. The Portland airport https://www.flypdx.com/ has been named the best in the country for the last 7 years in a row by Travel & Leisure magazine. https://pdx.com/Newsroom/PDX-Named-Best-Domestic-Airport-2019-by-Travel-and-Leisure Housing is still somewhat affordable - though it is getting more pricey. Thanks California!
  17. It was brave of you to admit that publicly. The next step is to seek professional help. Please do. You (and your family) are worth it.
  18. I like how the ducks are yucking it up at the end.
  19. I see smirky arrogance every time I look in the mirror. I'd bet most of y'all do too.
  20. How do we go about getting a 25 star quarterback?
