  1. Funniest part is all the aggys trying to prove that its a replica. Um . . . a replica of one of the dumbest things ever.

It's like you're listening to Don't Stop Believing and then everything goes black.
  3. I predict it will not be good. I also predict we will watch it.
  4. Had a very similar situation with my oldest. She's still at UT, but was offered an internship with one of the big companies selling financial products. Internship was for 9 months. She really wanted to start doing real work and this was the only internship she was offered. I knew that it was simply bring the names and numbers of 300 of your closest friends and we'll train you to make the sales pitches. Her personality is not that outgoing and I knew it would be a bad job for her. I contacted a friend in that industry, told her about the situation, asked if they could become linked in buddies, and if she would talk to my daughter about the industry. In the end, she decided not to take the internship offer and I'm glad it was based upon her learning about the position from someone in the industry as opposed to me trying to tell her it wasn't a great idea.

I don't know how many times I yelled at a ref for playing advantage when the ball went to Rigoni.
  6. Steven Seagal singing reggae with a fake Jamaican accent - "Me want the punani . . ."
  7. And make sure to pull up Otis Redding's The Dock of the Bay.
  8. Re: GA floor - I don't like people standing all around me, so I usually opt for a spot along the music engineer's fence. No problems watching shows at ACL Live from that spot.
  9. Thanks for the heads-up. Just got two.
  10. I swear y'all are just making up names at this point. There can't be 75 actors in the running for best actor under 40.
  11. Envious of your trip with Dedeaux. That should be great. Give a report on the new guide.

    Alright, Alright, Alright!
  13. You fishing with a guide? I'm wanting to do the same sometime this summer. I fished plenty down at the coast, but mainly with conventional gear.
  14. Yep. Good ID.
  15. We did SF in 2015 with our younger girls. Stayed at a VRBO on the cable car line up the hill from Chinatown. Did a combination tour of Alcatraz and Muir Woods. Rented bikes and road around town and across the Golden Gate Bridge. Other touristy stuff. Wife and I went to Sonoma in 2016. Rented road bikes and biked through the wine country during the morning and visited vinyards in the afternoons. Healdsberg was great for dining. We stayed at a B&B in Cloverdale and participated in that small town's 4th of July festivities. Armstrong Woods was a great place to see tall trees. As suggested above, spend a day hitting Armstrong and then out along the coast. I would highly suggest taking Boehieman Highway from near Armstrong to Occidental and Coleman Valley Road from Occidental to the coast. The views of the ocean are great. One of the best rides we did, twice, was south out of Healdsberg to Wohler Road (left), across the Russian River and back north to Healdsberg through the Dry Creek area. Several really cool vineyards, including one in an old hop kiln. It would be a great drive as well.
  16. There was a picture of a Western Ratsnake in a tree on the Nextdoor this morning. Three or four people identified it as a rattlesnake (one very specific - dimoND back rattlesnake) and one person said it was either a rat snake or water moccasin. I think I prefer snakes over most people.
  17. On Saturday, I explored part of the Pedernales River between Stonewall and Johnson City. Caught 5-6 bass, some largemouth and some guadalupe, and a hand full of sunfish. Saw several cruising carp, but was not able to get them interested in my fly. Beautiful river which is a mixture of grainte and limestone. Difficult to wade because it was all jagged rocks. All in all, it was a fun trip. Nice to get out and experience nature.
  18. One of my favorite spots in NOLA. Fried chicken is incredible. Far too few references to it on the New Orleans Food and Drink Thread.

It's warm in the stadium tonight. Let the summer begin. ¡LISTOS!
  20. Went to Barbs-B-Q this morning and was quite impressed. Forgot to take a photo of the food and most of what I got was packed to-go. Got there about 10 til 10:00 and was ninth in line. Line was sold the corner by 10:20. The building provides ample shade. Moist brisket was perfect and they use more elaborate seasoning that simple salt and pepper. The bark on the fat cap was really flavorful. Molotov pork ribs were outstanding - some of the best I've ever had. Lamb chops were seasoned well and cooked a perfect medium rare. Chuck was on the cutting block and is extremely nice. By far the best barbecue joint in in Lockhart.
  21. 13% of the time, they maul the handler.
  22. I suspect the DA wasn't even out of bed yet. Officer charged Scheffler. DA will eventually make the decision to pursue or drop charges.
  23. Didn't even notice until you mentioned it. Looks good, though.
  24. Thanks for keeping both the Hook'em and heart. I use heart mainly when people are discussing medical issues or some other issues that where a Hook'em doesn't seem appropriate. More to show sympathy or empathy.
