  1. I wouldn't look at a smart watch as a medical device. With that being said, Garmin is probably better than Apple. Garmin has been doing sport watches longer than Apple has been doing phones. I have a Garmin Fenix 6x which constantly monitors heart rate and pulse ox. Woot has some Garmin's on sale today.
  2. I followed your recommendation and went to Central BBQ. Other States BBQ
  3. I think they are even worse together. The scenes with all of them sound like kids sitting around a middle school lunch table. Every line from every one of them ends as a question. "They wouldn't do that, would they?" "I really think this thing will work, right?" Collectively they can't hardly make a decision.
  4. Yep. You have to get used to it. When pregnant with second kid, wife decided the room need to be painted - which is fine. After the entire room was painted, wife determined that it was the wrong shade of green. We bought new shade of green and repainted the entire room. Bless my wife for carrying our two children for 9 months each - I can deal with ridiculous nesting rituals.
  5. 25 year old dishwasher died yesterday (insert surly dishwasher joke here: ________________________). Looks like I have a Bosch 800 in my near future.
  6. I'm thinking juvenile Sonoran Gopher Snake as well.
  7. I don't think the rattler would have any problem killing and eventually swallowing that rabbit. Was the snake dead? Seemed to me like it was trying not to bring attention to itself because it was in such a vulnerable position.

Another really good Moontower Soccer episode, @skittlebrau It is really nice to hear the interviews with the Apple TV commentators - I enjoy the perspective of outsiders as opposed to just homers. I thought Taylor Twellman was especially insightful.
  9. There is no way I could land that plane with a cobra in the cockpit. I couldn't land it without a snake either, though.
  10. Piped in drums is kind of cheating. It would be much more impressive if he was making the drum sounds by banging his foot on the instrument.
  11. Actually Re-cunt. So labiaplasty?
  12. Carnitas were great. This is what I was told by one of the owners - cut pork butt into large pieces and brown in skillet or flattop. Confit in lard. Remove from lard and smoke. Don't have any idea of how long in the confit and how long to smoke, but it's worth play around. I suspect confit until tender but not fall apart. Smoke until a bit crispy again. A different order than L&L beef cheeks, but same basic principle. I love making beef cheeks and barbacoa. ETA: don't tell anyone.
  13. Nice pics. Can't see any identifying marks on the nerodia with the fish. The two exiting the water are PBWS. Chalk marks across the back as opposed to chainlink.
  14. Is parking at NRG an option? I was looking at getting a hotel out on 290.
  15. Anyone have any experience booking a hotel room for children that are under 21? I have an 18 and 20 year old going to see Taylor Swift in Houston later this month (no pics). Need to book a hotel room for them, but Holiday Inn, Marriott, and Hampton all have policies of minimum age of 21 for check-in.
  16. I'll have to hit it next time in Rockport. Tried once at the old location, but they were closed.
  17. I'm looking forward to Chuck opening in Lockhart. I don't know anything about a political statement. I also don't have any idea who Barb is or what "All these briskets is my sons" means. The barbecue will be good or it won't.
  18. Terry Black's opening in Lockhart has everything to do with throwing shade on their uncle, Kent Black.
  19. If you want to spend time on this. Try contacting your state representative's office. There might be someone there that could assist.
  20. Oh shit. I cannot watch that at work. I'm in tears 3 minutes in.
  21. As will all issues in college - fat, drunk, and stupid. It's no way to go through life, though.
  22. We ran out of dishwasher soap once in college. Decided to use laundry soap instead. Five inches of foam in the kitchen.
  23. Chris doesn't do much guiding anymore. I think the Guad guide that he had, Alex Herrera, has moved on to something else. I fished with Alex last year at this time and it was good. Someone at the shop should be able to give a recommendation. I'm sure Action Angler has guides, as well. I think @troph has used some guides on the Guad.
  24. My wife only let me have one bite, but the strawberry cobbler is incredible.
