  1. I think because at this point, Mike still has something left of his soul, and realizes that Howard didn't deserve what happened. As stated above, Howard wasn't in the game, and only became involved because Kim and Jimmy decided it would be a good idea to fuck with him. Pure speculation on my part, but I wonder if this was the impetus for Kim to disappear before the BB timeline. She now realizes that she is in WAY over her head, and can no longer stay with Jimmy/Saul, and can no longer stay in Albuquerque.
  2. Dang, there are some talented mofos on this thread. These pictures are beautiful. If I tried taking pictures of random buildings, trains, or junk cars, they would look, at best, like boring snapshots of buildings, trains or junk cars, nothing more. It's the difference between a work of art, and snapshot that leaves you wondering, "Why the hell did I take that picture?". There truly is more to photography than proper exposure settings. You need a vision, and the ability to create what you envision on film, or your flash card. I'm jealous of you guys.
  3. I'm getting close to this right here. I'm trying to like this show, but I find myself losing patience waiting for something interesting to happen. As of right now, the only thing holding my attention is watching Maeve walk around in slinky, tight fitting dresses.
  4. Brunt Ends??? Let me guess; this was supposed to be an NIL partnership with Ricky's weed business, called Blunt Ends, but with the Chinese Language barrier thing...I'll just see myself out.
  5. I was at this game also. That hit definitely set the tone for the rest of the game. I clearly heard the impact all the way on the other side of the field, and the sound the crowd made was like nothing I'd heard before, or since. Initial ecstasy at seeing Leiding fly as he launched himself at the ball carrier, then the hit, but almost instantly changed as we weren't sure if we just watched somebody die. The mood lifted upon seeing Leiding jog off the field, and the rest of the game was pretty dominant. ABC had moved this game from the usual spot after the OU weekend because they wanted the Tex/Ark game to be the first televised college football game of the 80s. It was a great start to what turned into an inexplicably crappy season. RIP Jeff.
  6. My oldest brother graduated from Bergen Catholic 55 years ago, so this hits close to home.
  7. Love him, or hate him, he was an American original and cultural icon: https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2022-06-30/sonny-barger-counterculture-force-and-face-of-the-hells-angels-dies
  8. We also celebrate a 41-38, but ours was way better.
  9. I love this clip. It perfectly embodies the Longhorn. Bevo doesn't calmly walk or trot through the fog, he charges, all ornery like with horns down and ready for action. Then he stops, brings his head up and stands there as if saying, "Who wants a piece of this, MOFOs?" This Bevo fucks.
  10. Here's one that's a little obscure. I'm glad I had older brothers and sisters, or else I would have never heard stuff like this. Great for open road, high speed cruising:
  11. That's like me going to L.A. to chase Brooke Burke's ass...it ain't happening.
  12. LOL at aggy Hall of Champions. Isn't that where they display all their Nickelodeon paraphernalia?
  13. Maybe Fido and Franklin just wanted to play.
  14. Yep...Ryan Ting didn't even try to intercept the ball, just knocked it to the ground. If he had tried to catch it, he would have, and that would have been game over right there. That probably still keeps him awake at night. The only other one I can think of that MIGHT be close is the first Clemson title game over 'Bama...the one where Deshaun Watson drove Clemson down for a game winning TD with seconds left. In the post game interview, he mentioned thinking of VY during the drive.
  15. Well, they lost to both, so...fuck 'em.
  16. We're doomed. Kid is going to look like Nolan Ryan at his peak.
  17. Yeah, it looks like fun, but that design can't be good for a car with a rear-mounted, air cooled engine.
  18. How many times have we burned Okie State for 100 yard KO returns?
  19. Yeah, true, but by that point the damage was done, and they were so pissed, or at least Jimmy was, I don't think there was a snowball's chance in hell that they'd work for him under any circumstances.
  20. That's what I was thinking also, and the light seems to come on ("I seem to be in the middle of something"), immediately before they go out permanently. I feel bad for Howard, even if he was kind of a douche for most of the series.
  21. Maybe I'm missing or forgetting something, but I thought it was primarily driven by Howard and Chuck basically shafting Jimmy out of the Sandpiper case, after having built it and brought it to HHM.
