  1. Uh, heh, heh...they said, "Snatch."
  2. I get what you're saying, but that is not what I intended to imply. I was responding to a comment which was implying that Texas had not had any QBs worth having since Colt was on campus, which is dumb. We've had several good QBs in recent years, all of whom were wasted by bad coaching and/or shitty O lines.
  3. Well, it is well known that Surlyites bang only 10s, so...
  4. This probably belongs in the "Blind squirrel finds a nut" category, but I'll give myself a pat on the back for this one.
  5. Hmmm...if Robert Plant went out on tour with John Paul Jones and a couple session musicians, and called themselves Led Zeppelin, would it really be Led Zeppelin? Nope. Would it be good? Maybe, maybe even great, but it wouldn't be Led Zeppelin.
  6. Yes, the guy who Turtle Tom benched because he didn't fit the preferred mold of a battering ram of a QB. Shane was an excellent QB.
  7. It doesn't seem that farfetched to me. I think the issue was that Gus went to the laundromat merely on a hunch that Lalo might be there, but he wasn't sure. He probably didn't say anything to his crew about the possibility of Lalo being there, he just brought them along because he couldn't leave the house without a security detail, therefore the team wasn't looking for anything, or anyone specific. Even when Gus spotted the exhaust fan that had been disabled, he didn't say anything to anyone about what he thought it might mean, and by then, it was too late for the security detail anyway. Was the security detail lax? Sure, but as someone mentioned up thread somewhere, the A team guys were probably with Mike, and Gus had the B team.

  9. I think because at this point, Mike still has something left of his soul, and realizes that Howard didn't deserve what happened. As stated above, Howard wasn't in the game, and only became involved because Kim and Jimmy decided it would be a good idea to fuck with him. Pure speculation on my part, but I wonder if this was the impetus for Kim to disappear before the BB timeline. She now realizes that she is in WAY over her head, and can no longer stay with Jimmy/Saul, and can no longer stay in Albuquerque.
  10. Dang, there are some talented mofos on this thread. These pictures are beautiful. If I tried taking pictures of random buildings, trains, or junk cars, they would look, at best, like boring snapshots of buildings, trains or junk cars, nothing more. It's the difference between a work of art, and snapshot that leaves you wondering, "Why the hell did I take that picture?". There truly is more to photography than proper exposure settings. You need a vision, and the ability to create what you envision on film, or your flash card. I'm jealous of you guys.
  11. I'm getting close to this right here. I'm trying to like this show, but I find myself losing patience waiting for something interesting to happen. As of right now, the only thing holding my attention is watching Maeve walk around in slinky, tight fitting dresses.
  12. Brunt Ends??? Let me guess; this was supposed to be an NIL partnership with Ricky's weed business, called Blunt Ends, but with the Chinese Language barrier thing...I'll just see myself out.
  13. I was at this game also. That hit definitely set the tone for the rest of the game. I clearly heard the impact all the way on the other side of the field, and the sound the crowd made was like nothing I'd heard before, or since. Initial ecstasy at seeing Leiding fly as he launched himself at the ball carrier, then the hit, but almost instantly changed as we weren't sure if we just watched somebody die. The mood lifted upon seeing Leiding jog off the field, and the rest of the game was pretty dominant. ABC had moved this game from the usual spot after the OU weekend because they wanted the Tex/Ark game to be the first televised college football game of the 80s. It was a great start to what turned into an inexplicably crappy season. RIP Jeff.
  14. My oldest brother graduated from Bergen Catholic 55 years ago, so this hits close to home.
  15. Love him, or hate him, he was an American original and cultural icon: https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2022-06-30/sonny-barger-counterculture-force-and-face-of-the-hells-angels-dies
  16. We also celebrate a 41-38, but ours was way better.

  18. I love this clip. It perfectly embodies the Longhorn. Bevo doesn't calmly walk or trot through the fog, he charges, all ornery like with horns down and ready for action. Then he stops, brings his head up and stands there as if saying, "Who wants a piece of this, MOFOs?" This Bevo fucks.
  19. Here's one that's a little obscure. I'm glad I had older brothers and sisters, or else I would have never heard stuff like this. Great for open road, high speed cruising:
  20. That's like me going to L.A. to chase Brooke Burke's ass...it ain't happening.
  21. LOL at aggy Hall of Champions. Isn't that where they display all their Nickelodeon paraphernalia?
  22. Maybe Fido and Franklin just wanted to play.
