  1. Got to think this decision furthers Trump’s defensive strategy of delay.
  2. I think attempting a coup is insurrection, yes. And the attempted coup had more aspects than the J6 domestic terrorists (a designation which does have a definition.) One aspect was Trump pressuring Pence to not perform his Constitutional duty. The phone call Trump made to R senators, whipping votes against certifying the election results was another. As were the calls made to the GA AG, and now, apparently, to MI.
  3. When friends come out usually makes for an interesting story. Is there a thread on the subject that I missed? I don’t personally know any folks who say they believe the groomer narrative, but I do know a few folks who stubbornly remain Republican, while claiming to have no problem with LBGTQ people. And they dismiss the idea that LBGTQ people are in, or headed towards, perilous times.
  4. When there’s blood on the streets, buy property. Hmmm, that’s what institutional buyers are doing….
  5. A recent John Oliver main story focused on Dollar stores. Depressing af. Twice’s post suggests folks on assistance do spend at grocery outlets when available.
  6. It is citified. It’s been thirty years since the hayfields became subdivisions, and the thousand became a golf course which recreated famous holes on famous courses.
  7. Fuck if I know. Your ma says it’s a family thing, passed down from pa to potato head.
  8. Grew up in Argyle, back when the population was less than a thousand. It was fairly affluent, in the 70s and early 80s, and we had grocery stores. Not all small towns are the same, psycho. Food deserts occur in poor towns just as they occur in poor areas of large towns. You don’t care? Fine. Stick your thumb in your ass, then suck it like a popsicle.
  9. Though I wish there were a less offensive way to do so, negged. Strict regulation. lol
  10. I won’t say I wish someone would shoot him in the head. But, a bullet, or better yet, a tire iron through one of his car windows, to change his smug sense of safety…. Is that asking too much?
  11. My dad’s first car was a model-a ford, and he loved that car, as well as others in that vintage. He built a large garage to work on them, and owned a few when Alzheimer’s tore him down. There were certain movies that he wanted to share with us whenever the opportunity arose, schedule and bedtime be damned. Those movies always had depression era cars.
  12. Cops responded to the Astral Way house within two minutes. Mother and daughter already were dead. There was a shootout outside that house, the second officer was wounded, then James fled in yet another car. But, after the crash at 45 & 1826, James immediately surrendered.

  14. I see it’s thread time for the misanthropes and psychopaths to start punching down.
  15. Hypotheticals. Mine gives more credit to Gore, who, you know, seemed to put country before self interest, and who might well have put competent people into positions of leadership. But, I do acknowledge your belief in the superiority of your hypothetical. Edited to repeat I was suggesting a possibility.
