  1. I will take that bet, and no, I will not swing at the hanging curve.
  2. Careful. You’re pretty close to the sort of rhetoric which can draw unwanted attention. Rhetoric Matthew Dowd probably regrets. ”Hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions,” Dowd said, adding: “You can’t stop with these sort of awful thoughts you have and then saying these awful words and then not expect awful actions to take place.”
  3. Hindsight being 20-20, and all, I’m thinking a Lincoln-esque move by Biden, to lock up these offensive political actors, not just including turnip, would have given the grand experiment at least a chance to continue.
  4. When repression is part of your kink, there is something very wrong about that.
  5. Which of you to gain me tell would risk uncertain pains of Hell I will not forgive you If you will not take the chance
  6. “Justice is reserved for the well-connected.” Yeah, no. That ain’t justice. That is far from Justice. Here’s the headline: “Justice cannot touch the well connected.” Which explains the Luigi fandom.
  7. Recognition for subjecting yourself to that. I can’t stomach folks who abase themselves.
  8. Leo can, and should already have, reassign(ed) the ultra conservative bishops in this country, and name bishops that reflect the rhetoric Leo is preaching.
  9. Wife and I were talking about the pope this morning. She was telling me that Leo has been all over this administration with his rhetoric. I said, maybe, but he hasn’t done shit. Tone.
  10. I sometimes use the word outfit as a substitute for group, business, or band. But, yeah, not for clothing.
  11. A vote for Kamala Harris was a vote to subjugate and consign young black men to imprisonment? I missed that in the party platform. I’m guessing it is a reference to her past as a prosecutor. Now do black women.
  12. Medicare administrative costs are much lower than private health care overheads.
  13. What the fuck! Obsequious, butt spreading maggat felchers eating shit, laughing at their own abasement.
  14. Yes, Kimmel is a part of this story, because of the government steamrolling any criticism of how it responded to his death. This comparison is valid because of two homeless encampments being strafed with gunfire in Minneapolis, after Kilmeade’s comments. It is a comment on news, people, and the double standard our government is observing, as well as the consequences,
  15. Well, alright. Good. Throw the book at those shitstains.
  16. Well, both have lots to say that directly contrasts with medical research and nothing to say about the regime’s firing of professionals and promotion of studies for which the politics dictated the conclusions. Don’t take my word for it, here’s Susan Monarez’s testimony before Congress: https://www.npr.org/sections/shots-health-news/2025/09/17/nx-s1-5544143/cdc-director-susan-monarez-testimony-rfk?utm_term=nprnews&utm_campaign=npr&utm_medium=social&utm_source=bsky.app
  17. Brought this to the immamac recommended thread. i remember the government trying to get SM companies to remove misinformation, not individuals. What am I missing? Elon bot twitter is a good description, though.
  18. Yeah, about that. https://academic.oup.com/ofid/article/12/9/ofaf533/8244677 But, I was wrong. It is 36%.
  19. Indeed. And the 646,596 American troops who died in battle are spinning in their graves.
  20. 37% of Covid patients develop long Covid. Your conclusion is questionable.
  21. If you don’t see the difference between viewer pressure and government pressure, then perhaps you should think on it more.
  22. Still doesn’t make sense to me. DNA found in plasma doesn’t appear, in my searches, to be limited by regulation. The DNA in plasma is donated by the public. I would think DNA found in vaccines is from cells grown in laboratories, and free from the vagaries of a random procurement. I get an abundance of caution, and perhaps the need for plasma can override the niceties of such caution, otoh, this doesn’t convince me the threat is greater than the reward.
  23. Patients are sometimes given plasma, plasma that contains dna. What is the issue?
