  1. no, that's why i posted it. I looked up his profile and saw he was very highly rated but according to 247 didn't have great offers. So, why is he so high rated if he's getting smoked at camps and has a weak offer list?
  2. Adonyss Currie is a top 50 national prospect with "offers" from all the major programs, but a strange short-list of suitors. I wonder what the story is on him. https://247sports.com/player/adonyss-currie-46138579/
  3. This is a cool story, but I have to protest the use of too many annoying terms, including "braggadocio", "libations", "gent", "jocks", and "riff-raff". Please update the 19th century language to at least the 20th. thank you.
  4. After scrolling through a thread of completely regarded opinions, it was encouraging to finally see someone get the top four order right. All of the posts ignoring Street or Layne because they don’t know anything about them are stupid. Who gives a shit about a list that only considers a person’s own lifetime and experience. My three year old granddaughter’s list is 1. Ehlinger 2. Ewers. Does anyone give a shit? No. Quit wasting our time. Layne and Street were fantastic. If you don’t know that then crack open a book or type something into ChatGPT and pull your head out of your ass. This post nailed the order, except I’m not sure about Ewers at 5. I think that’s right but need to think about the fringe QB’s. The two most underrated in the discussion are James Brown and Carlisle.
  5. I don’t. The source is the Austin MLS data.
  6. This is only a month, but it looks like, for now, The Austin real estate market may have bottomed and is starting to recover. Look at the November cross-over. Other stats like days of inventory, etc. are still okay as well. Note that this is with 6-7% interest rates. If/when rates come down, that should help even more. A recession would obviously be a wild card that could torpedo real estate markets around the country. I've been telling potential homebuyers that buying now may be a good idea. The only downside is a recession, but that would actually be good news because rates would drop and they could refinance.
  7. There may be nothing to this President turnover at UT, but both of the last two guys were supposedly very competent, I thought. I wonder what is really driving these departures. Money? Maga? Interference? Lack of competence? Surely, someone on this site has some sort of inside insight. Too bad Lobo isn't around.
  8. So, can the running game be fixed for OSU?
  9. Media dismissing Texas, just like USC game. Ohio State fans believing it is in the bag, just like USC game. Only difference is that Superman is not behind center for Texas. However, with two brilliant performances he could become a Longhorn legend on the podium with Superman. He has been so up and down his whole career but that 4Q/OT performance was gutsy and spectacular. Oh man if he has finally turned the corner…
  10. I hate this thread. It has torpedoed my pre-game excitement and buzz, replacing it with despair and resignation.
  11. So the running game in the two Georgia games didn’t bother them? Ok.
  12. And putting beans in their “chili”.
  13. I laughed my ass off to this. When I played Pop Warner football growing up in East Austin we thought we were badasses, and to some extent some of us, not me, were. However every year we’d go down and play the lower East Austin perrenial champions, the Hornets. These guys were insane. The size and speed was just scary as shit. I remember one year looking over to our sideline when we were getting pummeled, and the coach was trying to get some of our players to go in to the game, and these kids were having none of it. Black, white, Hispanic, didn’t matter. These guys were glued to the sideline for half the game. The rest of us had to play both ways and got lit up at least a dozen times. The Hornets were Austin legends.
  14. Mack Brown would be very disappointed in your yelling right now.
  15. I didn’t see this posted anywhere else and I don’t really want to start a unfounded rumor, but… there is a rumor going around Sark is headed to the NFL. I don’t have any direct info on this. It just came from others who might have heard something.
  16. I’m amazed at the expectations some people have for healthcare costs when they get older. Due to family health issues, the last few years we’ve hit the family max out of pocket costs. Combined with sky high premiums, we are talking tens of thousands of dollars per year. We can afford it, but I worry about most Americans who just can’t. Those folks would have to just forego care and I guess die early. Sucks. Even with the ACA, with subsidized premiums, the costs could be $30k+ per year if you have an expensive health issue like cancer. I see people online fretting over a thousand dollars.
  17. My head says OSU wins in a romp. My gut says OSU wins comfortably. But my testicles say Texas pulls out a squeaker by the miracle of ten pound tiny infant baby Jesus. I’m going with my testicles.
  18. I’m sure Mack Brown told Shaw Texas would be a good move so that Mack could screw over his former employer. On brand.
  19. Texas-24 OSU-21 total yards 290 Auburn walk-off 43 yarder for hair that will go down in infamy.
  20. Went to P.F. Chang's yesterday. While we aren't a huge fan of it, we do have friends that have always liked it. The food yesterday was terrible, and tasted different from the past. It turns out this "freshly made food" restaurant has recently changed to be a "heat up the packages in the microwave" restaurant. It's ridiculous. Stay away from this crap restaurant. Also below a reddit post from a server there. Also, the prices are ridiculous. $7 for a tiny cup of Wonton soup.
  21. This torrid three point shooting is fools gold and will eventually lead to long scoring droughts. They will get lazy with it and keep jacking, instead of working for shots inside.
  22. This addition is all about getting another solid ‘stache on campus.
