  1. Low energy. Sad. Sleepy Don
  2. I feel like those old Kustom upholstered amps are standard issue at every low-turnover music store in Texas.
  3. And see, I see 45 watt Matchless bass amp and wonder what a guitar sounds like through it.
  4. Oh, he has plans. And they don't involve you, Jerry. He doesn't give a damn about you. But keep working hard (not like you have a choice at this point). He'll need more money from you soon.
  5. Well, he'll have plenty of time to work on his putz.
  6. That's going to drive him nuts. I approve.

    Getting old sucks

Definitely don't ignore that. Mental health is health too. The Surly collective can only do so much. But we're mostly a bunch of lawyers, not doctors.
  8. I gotta go with "Saturday Night's Alright." /turn out the lights when you leave

    Getting old sucks

I got the second shingles vaccine Thursday after work. I took Friday off to recuperate but ended up having to drive my kids all over the place. So my rest was sporadic. I did manage to sleep in until 11 this morning and feel like myself again. That vaccine is no fun from a side-effects perspective. But I'll take it over actual shingles.
  10. Double Post. Holding this one for cooked pictures.
  11. Left to my devices tonight with family away. This was at Walmart of all places for $20. Who was I to refuse.
  12. Magda is an amazing character in that movie.
  13. If I'm honest, it looks like he just took a subservient role and let TFG walk by. I mean, to hell with Trump, but there's so much blatantly stupid behavior out there. This is not the hill to die on. /when keeping it real goes wrong
  14. I'll take your word for it. [HUMBLEBRAG]My wife (no pics) worked for the Chapter 11 Trustee for the Eastern District for 11 years back when she was a new/not so new attorney and did a lot of trustee support work, in addition to the cases the firm was pushing for consumers. She's a real natural, and I don't understand much about what she does. But she's 99% off the cuff with it after two decades of it. I've been practicing as long and know some things about a lot of things. But even though she never specialized and has done all sorts of things, that's her jam.[/HUMBLEBRAG]
  15. It seems to me, based on my observations, that the trustees are even shorter on their bullshit fuse than the judges, particularly in the Southern District (Houston). As an aside, trustees clean up financially. It's a lot of work, but what a gig.
  16. I theorize that having food spend a longer time in my stomach disrupted my gut biome over the long term, which may tend to explain the correlation between my taking a probiotic and the hiccups quickly abating (since I still was only a few days out from my last shot). And since I have managed to lose more weight since coming off Ozempic than when I was on it, I don't see much of a reason to go back on it. I was 249 when I started Ozempic. I quickly got down to 229 on it. There, I stagnated, mostly because I used it as a crutch to continue bad eating habits. That's on me. I made a lifestyle change (during the week) when I came off of it because I was very concerned about putting that weight back on. This morning, I was 197. I'm kind of stagnating again, and likely will put on weight over the weekend. But 197 is a new low point since this all began for me. These drugs are a miracle. They really are. But I don't ever want to have another week like I had with those hiccups.
  17. I had issues with it this morning, but it's working for me now. Weird. MAGdA
  18. Both links are dead. Can't find it now. Sad
  19. We also would have excepted: "Are you experienced?"
  20. 9 days 'til the Sphere.
