  1. Looked more like mopery to me.
  2. F/K/A Shopping aggy
  3. Sorry CJ, only Livingstone can haz TDs!
  4. FIFY edit. Dammit edit 2: Woohoo!
  5. Last year, if you got LHF in addition to the Big Ticket, you could draw early and were pretty much guaranteed a ticket. This year, LHF sold out in 15 minutes. The number of student tickets is pretty small as w I basically paid $200 for nothing this year. My kid couldn't even get a ticket drawn for SJSU.
  6. I blame the fact that it's almost impossible for most students to get tickets.
  7. I was not planning on drinking this early in the day.
  8. Looks like they still have an outpost in Monroe, which is where DCBC Jr. will have a water ski tournament in a few weeks. Unfortunately/fortunately, I will not be making the trek this year since I'm slated to cook BBQ for the ski team to eat on their way back to Austin. But now I'm thinking Gumbo and Salisbury steak. /one of my flaws as an east Texas transplant (from Houston) is that if I say I want to eat catfish, somebody better take my car keys away from me because I'm too drunk to make reasonable decisions.
  9. I went to law school with John and spoke to him a few weeks ago. He's pretty much retired (impressive for someone in his early 50s), but he was one of those rare combinations of patent prosecutor and patent litigator. He's done plenty of trademark work, and I expect his firm would do a good job. It looks like he has a presence in Austin, which I didn't know. Linkedin shows a Houston office as well. https://buchelaw.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/company/buche-&-associates-p.c.
  10. When I was growing up, I also was a big fan of Piccadilly Cafeteria in Memorial City Mall. Salisbury Steak was on point back in the day and, as a little kid, getting to throw my tray on that conveyor belt when I was done was fun. Simpler times.
  11. Small chance they tell you it's a protected species and can't be moved (don't know if that applies to a private residence, but it's still the right move.
  12. Semi-Slam (TM)
  13. That's been the state of tennis for a while. Before those two, it was Djokavich and Rafa, and before that Rafa and Roger, and so on. There's a lot more room between 4--12. 3 seems like always the bridesmaid.
  14. I don't think he's hanging it up. The guy just pulled a Semi-Slam (TM). He's, from a practical standpoint, a top 3 player in the world. And I think he wants to see if something odd will happen to get that last trophy. I honestly hope it does, but they're long odds.
  15. Could use some Jello cubes, but nice tray.
  16. If that's true, whoever made that decision could fuck up Christmas. We've lost so much. May this be the tipping point. Tyler had a cafeteria called Traditions, which was started by a former Luby's employee. The food was identical if not slightly elevated, and once inside, you might as well have been at Luby's (and we had three other Luby's in town). It recently shut down (after we lost all of our Luby's). It's been a small but noticeable hole in my eating-out existence these last few years.
  17. My sides will be mac n cheese and xxxx with a roll. But my ordering the fish never is in doubt.
  18. If they were going to screw up something, why did it have to be the fish? Luanne Platter is rolling over in her grave! That said, I would smash that fish like the fist of an angry god. It's been too long.
  19. I think you show up with your own tray and silverware wrapped in a green, linen napkin and walk that to-go order back to the office.
  20. Glad they're getting to the bottom of that JonBenet Ramsey thing.
  21. As does yours.
  22. I'm starting to see a correlation with the THC vape sales ban and all the PAX dry-herb vape ads I've been getting in my instagram feed these last few weeks. Moose out front should've told me though.
  23. This movie will never get old, and the soundtrack is a total banger. There were other aspects of this movie that were bangers as well. edit: And that ski ballet shit remains one of the coolest things ever (visually) and should have remained part of free-style skiing. I tried for years to pull off that pirouette move without a hint of success.
  24. Somewhere, there is a sane, legislative strategy. It begins with, "No matter what you do or how hard you try, you're never going to keep people who want weed from getting weed." Also, thankfully, Texas can't impose tariffs against other states or these buffoons would have tried it already. Baffoons: Hold my cup of decaf tea!
