  1. I miss Sir'Jabari Rice‘s shotfake atready. Damn that was a thing of beauty.
  2. Kenpom must be witches. Witches with an algorithm.
  3. Israel sometimes goes too far in ruthlessly eradicating existential threats. We don’t go far enough.
  4. 1 game in and I’m liking the IT Horton signing. As a 23 year old, he brings a grown-ass man vibe with few smiles.
  5. Yeah, the problem for Matt was they weren’t injured.
  6. I have to hand it to Ivanka’s team. They are getting close to synthesizing a human smile. Good work, people..
  7. Texassports.com Men’s Basketball signs Scott, Codie to National Letters of Intent Rodney Terry’s staff inks pair of top-50 national prospects for the 2024-25 season AUSTIN, Texas — A pair of top-50 national high school prospects have signed National Letters of Intent to play basketball next season at The University of Texas, head coach Rodney Terry announced Wednesday. Cam Scott (Lexington, S.C.) and Nic Codie (Carrollton, Texas) will join the Longhorns for the 2024-25 season. The two-man class is currently No. 9 nationally in the Class of 2024 team rankings by On3. Scott (6-5, 185), a guard from Lexington, S.C., who has plays at Lexington High School, is ranked as the No. 24 prospect in the nation by ESPN, No. 27 by 247 Sports Composite, No. 29 by On3, No. 30 by Rivals and No. 37 by 247 Sports. In his junior year in 2022-23, he averaged 19.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.4 steals per game while leading Lexington to a 20-7 record and a trip to the Class AAAAA state semifinals. Scott was named the South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year following his junior season. He earned co-MVP honors in June at the Pangos All-American Camp in Las Vegas after averaging 24.6 points per game while hitting 57-percent from three-point range. "Cam Scott has a very impressive blend of smoothness, pace to his game with burst and athletic vertical pop at 6-foot-5," said Gerry Hamilton, senior national recruiting analyst for On3.com. "He plays within the flow of the offense and possesses a very good feel for offensive basketball. As his handle and footwork have developed, Scott is creating more space to get clean looks off the bounce. He also has the foot quickness, length and reactive quickness at 6-5 to be a talented defender. Along with being one of the most talented players in the country, Scott possesses the characteristics that will thrive in the culture of the Texas program." Codie (6-8, 200), a forward from Carrollton, Texas who plays at Newman Smith High School, is ranked as the No. 40 prospect in the nation by On3, No. 41 prospect by Rivals, No. 45 by 247 Sports Composite and No. 46 by 247 Sports. The top-ranked player in the state of Texas in the Class of 2024, Codie averaged 16 points and nine rebounds per game as a junior in 2022-23 while leading Newman Smith to a 22-8 record and the District 9-5A championship. "Nic Codie is a player who has made a steady climb over his high school career, with much of his overall game exploding his past spring and summer," said Blue Zertuche of Great American Shoot-Out "GASO." "Texas is getting a prospect who has the athleticism, length and natural ability to compete at an extremely high level in the SEC. Codie has shown that he can cover a lot of space very quickly to grab a rebound or get a put back. He is skilled, has a nice touch from the elbow area and will extend his game past the three-point arc."
  8. “I am Jeff Fisher if he couldn’t produce a mustache”
  9. I love that TJ Jr’s and one was in the highlights.
  10. Me too, except for the Big 12 refs. No doubt SEC refs will welcome us with more appropriate deference and awe.
  11. Is it true that Ithiel Horton is Inactive? If so, any idea why? Granted, the source is questionable given Dylan Disu is listed as a game time decision.
  12. If so, he needs to step aside. I’m unfamiliar with injuries that make you throw into a homogeneous crowd of opponents’ jerseys though.
  13. In an era of deepfakes, this photo needed no embellishment. It’s really quite extraordinary if you can set aside the horror. It may be better than dogs playing poker.
  14. 6’8” and 200 lbs so hopefully he doesn’t lose weight before college.
  15. Houston is a garbage football program. Today only reinforced that, even after having grown up there and marrying a UH grad who like most alums couldn’t care less about Cougar High.
  16. A red ass on a blue tick gets you to blueblood in aggy logic.
  17. She and we should be grateful that she governs in AR, not AK. The dais are much smaller up there.
