  1. This is quite possibly the dumbest post I've seen in awhile. It's so bad that I had to check my sarcasm meter twice. Ewers is gone. MM will likely officially lose the battle in fall camp next year. Manning came here fully expecting to redshirt, then play year two. MM was a solid part of why we won yesterday, he was also a large part of why KSU got back into the game. He's making throws downfield that Card didn't make outside of one of two times when afforded the same opportunity. He just needs to take better care of the ball, and stop trying to make plays after they're busted. He probably won't see his potential realized here, but you can see what makes him so interesting as a QB prospect.
  2. His footwork is abysmal. At times, some of the worst i've ever seen from a D1 player in an actual game. I wish Sark would manage him harder like he did with Quinn last year, but I understand wanting to give MM the opportunity to see how much more work he really needs. He's probably gone either way, but it's gotta be pretty clear to him now just how much work he needs to do before being the guy.
  3. I'm not so sure they will, but I do think it's a tough matchup for our secondary.
  4. Both Hurts and Mahomes were outstanding in college by the end of their careers.
  5. I wonder if we can move Christian Jones to LG and leave Cam Williams at RT. I know they've cross trained a lot of those guys.
  6. Every time MM threw the ball after the first quarter was cringe-inducing. One in particular that stood out was him rolling to his right with limited to no pressure, then throwing across his body to the middle of the field. He completed it, but holy shit. Do these QB coaches not work to improve football awareness/IQ? At times, he looked like he'd never even played the position before
  7. The pig win was potentially the biggest one.
  8. Fuck the playoff, i'd rather play this OkSt team than OU. It would have been great to get revenge next year, but I'd rather get the best matchup to win the conference title game.
  9. I think Mack flips to FSU if they push, Filsaime is the one I'm really hoping for.
  10. Nah, it was pretty fucking bad. He is way too careless with the ball to be relied on.
  11. His feet break down when he has to go through his progressions. He makes horrible decisions when plays break down. He has moments of brilliance, but you can't rely on that level of inconsistency, His bad feet led to the same poor accuracy he showed in high school. Arch must be pretty bad to not get a look
  12. Texas wins, Florida and A&M lose. Good start to the day
  13. Looks like the nose of the ball hits the ground, but can’t overturn that. Refs are crooked as fuck.
  14. Hutson was in for I think Conner on that TD run.
  15. I get why they wouldn’t want Campbell, Williams, and possibly Agbo all on the same side of the line at the same time. I don’t like it, but I can understand it. I think Conner, despite his physical limitations, generally knows where he is supposed to be blocking and can help communicate responsibilities to the other guys There is a huge risk of whiffing blocks due to poor communication against 3 down looks.
  16. No fucking way. I swear he’s been in hiding, and I think I’ve even seen him as a crew member instead of a crew chief in a game.
  17. KSU wants to bait Texas into running the ball into run keying defenders. I think we see RPOs early and often to punish those linebackers for blitzing so often
  18. This game looks materially different without Worthy out there.
  19. If Sanders is too hurt to go, that takes away one of our big advantages in this game. Their linebackers are aggressive as hell and don’t cover very well anyway, so the middle of the field is wide open.
  20. He was traveling on a couple of those buckets to end the first half, but NBA gonna NBA. That game was insane.
  21. We're gonna RPO them to death. Hopefully MM doesn't take too many chances on 50/50 balls.
  22. I agree that our OL has to block their 3 down look, but we're gonna throw a lot of looks at them and we can't rely on efficiency there. KSU also blitzes often enough and they get home, so I have a hard time seeing us sustaining 8+play drives due to either penalties or sacks. We also haven't been an efficient running team this year. We just need to score enough, but we won't have the chance to if we can't get them off the field. More drives on offense is how we win. They will likely look to choke the clock with methodical drives. Their WRs and RBs block pretty well, and they pull all kinds of motion to make it easier for the eventual ball carrier to get the edge with blockers. This feels like a Watts game, Manny and Brooks can rotate on the other side. I could see us going heavy edges too.
  23. This game won't come down to QB play. Can we stop the option? They'll test it early and often. They run the majority of their stuff to the edges, so I think we'll see plenty of the 4-3 looks with wide linebacker alignments. If they don't get the edge consistently, will they be able to move our interior guys up the middle often enough to keep the chains moving? Neither guy seems to handle the blitz well either. Make them hit passes downfield with pressure in their face. I'm starting to think the entire game comes down to their OL vs our defensive front.
  24. IIRC Lamar was the Redskins until around 2015 or so. Then they became the lame ass Texans. It was also back when Snyder was giving everyone the finger about changing the name of the Washington redskins
