  1. Yea, they’ll probably try to man up on Mitchell with koolaid. General public seems to be underestimating our receivers against their secondary.
  2. Yea, he played a good amount. Looked okay, his jersey is #1.
  3. Those arms are long as hell. Broad shoulders too. If only he were twitchier. Still a good get.
  4. They will have to throw the ball to win the game. Hopefully our run defense will allow us to defend the pass without making it too easy for Milroe. I think the best run defense will be a strong early scoring offense though. We score in bunches early, and their execution window becomes very tight. I believe Milroe crumbles under that pressure. Of course, we could always just knock Milroe out of the game in the first quarter…
  5. Quinn tempted fate more than needed on some of his scrambles, but he’ll learn. He’s definitely showing heart on his scrambles
  6. Jesus, let’s not rehash anything then!
  7. He’s not as nimble or shifty as Miller was, especially pre-injury. I think Adrian Martinez is a good comp for him.
  8. On the road too. Glad we didn’t move up, we need all the disrespect we can get to add even more fuel to the fire.
  9. We will. We had plenty of success using it against Rice, but we didn’t need to show our best stuff to get that win.
  10. You guys are acting like Quinn had a horrible game. You guys are also acting like his performance this past Saturday is indicative of all he can do this year. Pretty sure he hit a deep ball to Worthy against Bama last year and Worthy dropped another one that was a dime. I’m more concerned about the unpressured throw he made to JT that hit him on the side of the helmet. Timing was bad, and there were better options available. The deep pass out of bounds to Worthy was also concerning. The play where he bailed to his right on 3rd down and slipped was also a concern. Hopefully he finds his stride this week and the OL lets him take advantage of it. There will be plenty of opportunities with all the mano a mano Saban relies on.
  11. I pray that some of you are not responsible for making any decisions that impact me or anyone I care about
  12. Yea, I wish Saban was a UT fan too Nash is being too kind to QE as well, Quinn had an average game, but we had at least above average expectations. He looked jittery back there. Not as bad as Card did/does at Purdue, but much more jittery than he should be for this team to go anywhere significant.
  13. You don't seem too bright, so I'll disengage from here. Enjoy your unfounded indignance
  14. Yes boomer https://kdvr.com/news/local/baby-were-coming-deion-sanders-introduced-as-cu-head-coach/
  15. He's actually been a liablity
  16. He refers to many people as "baby" it's not a gender thing Karen.
  17. I think Conner is gonna lose his job well before the end of the season if yesterday was any indication of his future performances. I have yet to see a positive play from him on rewatch. How can you be a liability in the run game, pass game, yet provide no athletic/power upside to boot? He must really show assignment soundness in practice or something. Agbo also struggled in space. He probably isn't long for that jumbo TE role.
  18. Kris Ross looked more explosive than expected for someone who I thought was a transfer candidate. Definitely more explosive than Finkley. I thought that had to be Jaray Bledsoe at first.
  19. Texas 34 Alabama 23 270 yards from scrimmage for Bama. Make Milroe beat you from the pocket for 4 quarters against this secondary.
  20. The way they execute is on the coach only because he is responsible for the outcome no matter what. On that play, either Rice was expected to take the fake more than they did or Baxter was supposed to chip someone before leaking out into a route. Or things developed slower than they were supposed to. Either way, that drive was a comedy of errors.
  21. Banks and Conner don't work well together. I don't know what value Conner presents in all honesty. He is hard to move when he actually gets in place, but he gets confused so easily. He and Kelvin on different pages led to multiple hits on Quinn. Quinn actually completed some good passes despite the leaky protection, people are hyperfocusing on the missed big shots, some of which were under duress as well. I'd rather he stay healthy for the entire season than try to be a hero against Rice, or any other game not counting the conference championship game. They have to keep him cleaner than that.
  22. Our offense will be fine, and we will have plenty of success next week on that side of the ball. We keep Milroe in the pocket, we turn him over, we win the game. Just gotta protect Quinn and avoid falling in love with the deep ball next week. They've been preparing for this game for a while, and it is clearly one that everyone wants on the wall.
  23. Thankfully, we play at Baylor early so they have less time to get their shit together before we play them.
  24. Rice came to play and they showed a lot of psuedo pressure. Lots of mental tricks from their front that gave our guys fits early and often. I wouldn't be surprised to see Neto get even more run next week. Hopefully Campbell is healthy and understands how to pass protect better by next week. They absolutely must protect Quinn better than they did for much of today's game.
