  1. I think it may have been a bad idea to create a miles long death zone with concrete walls on the NAFTA highway where 1000s of 18 wheelers travel daily.
  2. Not sure if this is an AI generated joke news article. https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/real-life/news-life/white-woman-who-identifies-as-black-plans-to-move-to-africa/news-story/685427e62b2daecf05b02699df2f6205 White woman who ‘identifies as black’ plans to move to Africa A German tanning enthusiast who was born white but identifies as a ‘Black woman’ has shared her plans to “move to Africa” because she “feels a deep connection” to the country and its people. But first, she plans to get more surgery. Martina Big – who goes by the name Malaika – previously sparked controversy when she revealed she uses melanin injections and her at-home tanning bed to change the colour of her skin. The 36-year-old model has faced severe backlash over the years from people claiming she is wearing ‘Blackface’ and say she will “never be Black”, according to Jam Press. Now Malaika, who naturally has very fair skin and blonde hair, is planning to relocate to Africa with her husband, Michael Groß, 38. 3. Detained Canadian shares her story. I have no idea how we got here. I do but am amazed at the insanity of it all. Like with all this bullshit. Someone is making a shitton of money from it. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/mar/19/canadian-detained-us-immigration-jasmine-mooney The reality became clear: Ice detention isn’t just a bureaucratic nightmare. It’s a business. These facilities are privately owned and run for profit. Companies like CoreCivic and GEO Group receive government funding based on the number of people they detain, which is why they lobby for stricter immigration policies. It’s a lucrative business: CoreCivic made over $560m from Ice contracts in a single year. In 2024, GEO Group made more than $763m from Ice contracts. The more detainees, the more money they make. It stands to reason that these companies have no incentive to release people quickly. What I had experienced was finally starting to make sense.
  4. Decades ago, we were driving home from clubbing in Houston. Saw a 18 wheeler hit a car pinning the car into the concrete side. Car catches on fire. 18 wheeler driver jumps out of his rig. No one comes out of the car. In 2 mins, the car and the 18 wheeler were fully engulfed in flames. I was amazed how quickly the thing turned into a bonfire. Anyway, after watching the surreal scene with the whole freeway which had stopped, we go back to our car. It's a convertible with the top down. My high as shit friend says, "Awesome, there's dead body ash falling on us." Sure enough, ash from the fire was falling into the car. Then my high as shit friend starts laughing and chanting, "DBA, DBA, DBA!" Me: What the fuck is DBA? Him: Dead body ash! Yeah, we were fucking idiots back then.
  5. Ima guess he never got the chance to disrupt the flight. https://surlyx.com/amar3455/status/1900308911271362974
  6. Wife drives that stretch for work every day. She hates it. There are always wrecks in that stretch. There's absolutely no room for error and no place to hide.
  7. Reddit thread has more details. Sounds like traffic was stop and go and then the 18 wheeler flies into them. Driver may have been under influence or someshit and maybe tried to escape. From the video he approached the driver and cussed him out saying that he was gonna get locked up. The driver doesn’t speak English well so he couldn’t really understand. When he finally started to understand he started getting on his phone and walking kind of fast away from the scene. Then the guy recording found a cop and said “he’s trying to run” and the cop runs after him and then the video ends He is talking to the driver and after telling the driver that he’s gonna get locked up the driver starts to walk back to his 18 wheeler and the dude doesn’t physically restrain him but he does tell a cop and you just see the cop chasing after the driver before the video ends So in shorter words: no According to a witness who was live, it was a 3rd party Amazon truck driver who either fell asleep or was distracted and crashed into stopped traffic.
  8. Locals know that. Many of the victims were out of town folks.
  9. China is kicking our ass on next gen evolution especially as it revolves around electric and solar. This administration made it clear that we are the old dinosaur adamantly relying on dinosaur sauce (oil). We are going to milk oil so that oil barons can die rich while fucking their grand children and their grand children.
  10. We have 6 major manufacturing sites across the US. Every single site has a hiring and retention problem. Our manufacturing is hard, heavy work. On many instances, people will show up for one day and not show up again. Mostly, they'll work for 3 months and then quit because they found another easier job. And the ones who stay in manufacturing routinely get poached by other manufacturing companies because finding people who actually want to be in manufacturing long term is critical to your success. Our labor force is older and and only getting older. The younger generation don't want this work. Plus our int'l manufacturing locations are much much easier to deal with. They can easily find workers and those workers are agreeable to increase and/or change their work scopes. Trying to get the US unions to take on more work comes down to how much more blood (money, increase costs) are we willing to give. Just like how consumers "say" they want to buy American vs foreign made, that conviction lasts right up to them choosing the lower costs items which are mostly all foreign made. The idea is romantic. It's just not ever going to happen.
  11. My leadership HATES Trump.
  12. I know that was in jest but I don't know if Trump, his advisors, Republicans and certainly not their base understand economics. Price changes are rarely ever localized. We are in a GLOBAL economy. Manufacturing, suppliers, and products are intertwined in a global network of supply and demand. The rest of the world is looking in amazement at the shit coming out of the White House and asking what the fuck is the goal of all of this shit other than just to fuck things up for everyone? Seriously, what's the point in any of the shit the piece of shit and his cronies are doing? Is there an endgame other than just chaos?
  13. Not just Canada. Trump and Republicans want to torpedo relationships with our traditional allies (NATO, Canada). Why? Because Russia is our new daddy and calling the shots. And because Trump is an insecure dipshit.
  14. Steel is a huge component in my company's manufacturing. Suppliers are hitting us with updated pricing almost on a daily basis. We are also updating our pricing and contracts to our customers almost on a weekly basis. The end result being, EVERYTHING is way more expensive. Our customers are delaying orders because of 1. the crazy rate of how prices are increasing and 2. the business environment is fucked in that no one knows when the insanity is going to stop and how much more of a shitshow this is going to be. We are delaying capital projects and cutting expenses knowing that the economy is going to tank. NONE OF THIS DRAMA AND BULLSHIT WAS NEEDED. Fuck this administration and fuck the Republicans for enabling and protecting this bullshit. Here's a good read of how the steel tariffs are impacting companies.
  15. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/house-republicans-block-congress-ability-challenge-trump-tariffs-2025-03-11/?utm_source=chatgpt.com House Republicans block Congress' ability to challenge Trump tariffs WASHINGTON, March 11 (Reuters) - The Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives voted on Tuesday to block the ability of Congress to quickly challenge tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump that have rattled financial markets. The 216-214 vote, largely along party lines, delays lawmakers' ability for the rest of the year to force a vote that could revoke Trump's tariffs and immigration actions.
  16. Fake news. There is no Jamie White. It's all a hoax.
  17. Half of this country are crack addicts addicted to Trump. We need to hit rock bottom before they can begin to heal from their affliction. We are even close to rock bottom. 4 more years of this shit. Hopefully a good number of magats will see that their piece of shit cult leader is a piece of shit. The question is, what will be left of this country when traitorous Trump and Republicans are done doing Putin's work?
  18. Finally did something about all the car break ins. These pieces of shits have been at it for years. I'm sure they'll be released and continue their thieving ways or another group takes their place. https://www.fox7austin.com/news/austin-arrests-vehicle-burglaries-parks-mount-bonnell
  19. Going to check out San Pancho, MX area in July.
  20. Alito is a traitorous cunt.
  21. She was one of the 5 yes votes. I guess she really does despise the piece of shit.
  22. Willful ignorance until it finally affected them. Fuck these bastards. All they heard/saw was hating immigrants and gays and happily jumped on the train for a second go round.
