UUUU has been as low as $15.76 today and, normally, I would be a buyer at that level. However, the Supremes take up the legality of Trump‘s sweeping tariffs tomorrow and if they rule against the president, it is going to get ugly for anyone long the stock market.

They won’t rule until next year though, right?

Technically, the Supreme Court has until next July to rule.  However,Jeffrey Schwab, senior counsel at the Liberty Justice Center, a constitutional rights law firm representing companies in the case said, “ It’s very reasonable to expect that this will be decided before the end of the year, if not much, much earlier than that”.

I mean shit, the last ten months have been NOTHING but uncertainty and look at what the markets have done. Additionally it would generally remove the uncertainty of whiplash capricious tariffs going forward. As of today the corps are looking at the already paid tariffs as money gone so getting a refund would bolster them. Throw on no tariffs = lower price inflation and I see it as overall positives.

of course, scotus will prob say he has the right to enforce tariffs individual tax payers not just countries/industries. the market will prob bounce 3% one way then slingshot the other within hours bc that’s what we do.

I don’t think it would remove the tariff whiplash uncertainty. The Court is looking at his authority to impose tariffs under IEPPA. However, there are other potential statutes which could be used to impose tariffs and while not as flexible/easy, that would likely keep these tariffs threat of tariffs around. Lastly, doesn’t Wall Street operate under the TACO principle and therefore tariffs don’t matter?

Ok, new stonk friend found.  IBRX is gone never to be mentioned again, bought a few hundred shares of PINS today after a solid quarter which got them decimated this morning (actually down 20 percent at one point).

Added 5000 UUUU at $14.9999.  We get a bounce and I’ll trade the position.  Am prepared to hold long term otherwise.

What are you thinking as far as a target for pulling the trigger on a bounce if it occurs?

IBRX looks to be heading towards the penny stock thread; I can't imagine they can raise much capital as a $2 dollar no hollar no wanky wanky black hole of investment opportunities

Soooo....buy more?

I exited all of IBRX at a big loss around $2.5, I just don't see it even if their mission is both awesome and likely profitable.  My time horizon isn't endless and there are other things to do with my money.  I think it is ultimately a penny stock but hope everyone makes millions and proves me wrong.

Why now? It was trading around $0.40 in June, and spiked when the entire sector spiked due to Trump/China/tariff tensions. Further dilution is coming, that is known. Their latest quarterly report showed greater current liabilities than they had cash in the bank ($6M), and they still need at least another $100M to complete phase I of their project.
Needing a China win, Trump is now back in love with Xi again and the sector is drifting down to where it was before the frenzy. I wouldn't bother DCA'ing until you get the sense that Trump has decided its time to play macho man again with more tariffs on China (probably a matter of "when", not "if"). But without that as a catalyst, what's supporting the price?

Bumped this post to say that I held off on adding more WWR. Happy about it, since it just dipped below $1.00

Bought 3000 more shares of EOSE at $13.80 adding to the position of 15,100 shares.  Plan to unload the 3000 around $17.50-$18.  The rest is the core position and plan to ride it to the moon.  It’s the same strategery used when purchasing 5000 shares of UUUU at $15 a week ago to sell at $19-$20 leaving the core position of 10,000 shares intact for the moonshot.  I mean, why the hell not make a little side money on the ride up with both EOSE & 4U?

Still own 9000 IBRX shares in case there’s a Christmas miracle.  Have 20,000 RVPH shares waiting for a buyout because of their leading drug candidate, briloroxazine.

Have 30,000 shares/ARSMF, 9000/GPHOF, and 63,000/APAAF because critical minerals.
And keeping some dry powder for the right opportunity.

Bought 5000 shares of ASPI at $7.60.  Initial target is $9.50.

When did you become a short term trader? I thought this thread, and the participants, were all about moonshots?
(not that many of them have actually worked out very well)

If you would stop buying them then maybe more would have worked out

Every equity I mention on this thread are stonks/moonshots.  UUUU, EOSE, IBRX, APSI, RVPH, ARSMF, GPHOF, & APAAF are the current stonks du jour with the last four being penny stocks.  In the last 45 days, I’ve raised capital completely exiting one biopharmaceutical stock (GERN), a battery materials recycling company (AMYZF), and, substantially, downsizing my position in IBRX.  In addition, I sold a third of the UUUU position (at $21/share) recouping that initial investment.  With the money raised, I took a position in a slew of REE stocks which, uncharacteristically, took off like a scalded skunk.  Indeed, the moves were so substantial that I sold almost every position within a month, (on the way down, of course), but I made pretty good money.  So, yes, I’ve done some swing trading.   The recent purchases of UUUU, EOSE, & ASPI are all stocks that I’m comfortable holding long term.  However, they’re all volatile which >may< afford the opportunity of selling part of the position while maintaining a core position.  We’ll see.
