Tucker is banking on one good season. Alvarez has a higher ceiling and is much more disciplined at the plate
Yep.

Love King Tuck but the answer is definitely Alvarez. Yordan is always must see TV when he's at bat.

  • This postseason has become more sentimental for me and my wife's family.  My father in law is the biggest Astros fan I know.  He watches every game without fail, even DVRing them if he can't watch liv

Combine how good he is with how large he is and he's got to be in the top 3 or 5 most intimidating guys in the league when standing in a batters box for most pitchers.

Alvarez leads in OPS+ 153 to 130

Tucker leads in War 9.2 to 8.2

Almost identical number of ABs

Both are great young talents.

we should send the dodgers a muffin basket

Yordan and for me it really isn't close. He is like Brantley with power.

Each 2.5 years/ $50M

they can take off Apr-Jun off the third year and show up at the all star break

600 miles from H-town and we are "in-market" blacked out on TBS.

Fuck MLB.

I stream with impunity and zero guilt.  Fuck yo bullshit rules.

I guess no better time than now to confess that Urquidy is my least favorite Astros SP

Does Javier count if I don't like him as a starter because he is a great multi inning reliever?

That’s because there’s only one ML team in Texas …

There’s one

Yeah, that poll is tasty.

i think I lean Tucker just because of the tools/less of a potential liability in the field/ Yordan seems more of a risk to fall victim to the “olds”, but those are all concerns for circa 2029-2031.

If the 5 years in question are ~2024-2028, woof. That’s hard

I respectively request a re-count/recast vote to Yordan

was thinking on this some more earlier with us playing the Red Sox… and looking at their World Series rosters. Yordan = Ortiz. Tucker closest thing I find was career year Damon. Tucker obviously more power,  less speed. Damon incredible career numbers

but you gotta take Ortiz ….I think

edit:  give me tucker….at least until Yordan comes up again

These fucking cameramen suck dick btw. Get your shit together

When Yordan is up to bat at fenway

Oh Tucker and Yordan read this thread

Ted!!

Lulz, Sparks had just finished saying he needed to try going the other way to get going.

Lets go kid get a homer in first bat at Fenway

It's not back to back to back but this has to feel familiar to Eovaldi.

Also, I'm not sure Pena is ready to come back.
