Massey keeps choking at the plate and his days are numbered. His first hint to pick it up should have been when we got India. Guess it didn't stick. Now his AAA counterpart is walloping it and running with a 1+ OPS, compared to Massey's .480-ish. Sure doesn't look to be that big of a gamble to swap them out, can't be any worse.

What I’ve read this far seems to think Cags comes up by the end of June, provided the next few weeks goes like his first in Omaha.

If Rave and Devanney can help at the plate, that helps get Jac up a little earlier maybe. It seems like they don’t want to throw him into a high pressure situation if they don’t have to.

They’re sure cashing in on him so far though. Was in the authentics store last Sunday, and they had 2 balls signed by Jac, with $200 stickers on them. Next to a $70 Erceg and $110 Pasquatch.

He’ll move a ton of merch for them, no doubt.

They’re signing Orlando Arcia, fairly recent inductee of the Bryan LaHair All-Stars, so all should be well.

I started to make a joke about this, but then I made the mistake of actually thinking about it and now my brain feels all broken.

Can anyone tell me how it makes any sense at all for the Rockies to sign Orlando Arcia?

Going to a game at Oracle Park in late July.  Pretty excited, will be first time to see it.

I went ahead and finally made a ballpark thread if anyone wants to join me  in  any discussion

And 15th in attendance IIRC.

It's a great place to see a game and has almost everything to do with what team is visiting.  The weather has also been great in Denver during their home stretches.

I went to a double header vs Detroit a couple of weeks ago. Those games were titillatingly yawners at 10-2, and 11-1 respectively.  Run differential for the 2025 campaign through Monday: (-173,) which after 2 months of the season  is higher than all teams Except Miami (-204,) the Rockies themselves(-247,) and the WhiteSox at (-306) for the entire 2024 slate.

4.  Whatever it is, dude running onto the field with his phone should be DFA'd by now.

29 teams surely lighting up his agent's phone now.

Veteran utilityman Ildemaro Vargas triggered an opt-out in his minor league deal with the Diamondbacks and has been granted his release. Arizona could have added him to the 40-man roster to retain him but have instead granted Vargas his release. He’s now a free agent.

According to OptaSTATS, the Rockies have now lost 21 consecutive series dating back to last year. That’s the longest series losing streak in MLB history.
