His feel for yardage is unmatched. When he switched clubs on the par 3, landed short, rolled close. Birdie.  Wtf man, that's like when you're a kid, all you need is what the sprinkler head says  and your eye. His game is so simple and on point.

I think feel for the game in the moment is where  Scottie is similar to Jack.  There are numerous stories about Jack having a feel for the game in the moment that nobody else had.  Example a. I believe Jack said he adjusted his swing mid-swing, because of a sudden change in the wind to hit that famous one iron or two iron in 1972 at the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach that rolled to within five feet or closer that nobody else could come close to.

Two others I have heard are that during the famous 1986 Masters final round his son Jackie was caddying.  There was one hole, 16 or 17, the par four, and Jack and Jackie are looking at the putt, the putt reads a certain way, but Jack doesn't believe the read, and tells Jackie he thinks it breaks toward the creek.  Birdie putt.... And the best for last, the famous par 3, is it 16?  Jack hits a perfect shot, Jackie says out loud "Be the right club" and Jack replies "It is" and of course the ball rolls to within 3 feet of the hole.    Think about all of the begging and pleading that players do now and I contrast that with every time I watched Jack, I do not remember a single time he begged the ball to do x, y or z.

Tiger’s was age 21-24. Scottie’s is 26-29.  Which is not to diminish the accomplishment but more to show 1) how early Tiger was dominant and 2) how Scottie’s window of peak play should be shorter, for anyone who wishes to extrapolate this to how many more majors he wins.

You would think he gets a lot more but golf is weird. Guys get stuck or lose it all of a sudden all the time.

Since Tiger's first major Phil has 6, Rory and Brooks have 5, Scottie has 4 now, Spieth, Paddy and Vijay have 3 and a ton of guys have 2.

Couple that with that interview he gave - who fucking knows. If he plays like this for a few more years he's getting 6+ easily but we thought Rory was going to win 10+ once upon a time.

Maybe Bryson rattles a couple more off and lights a fire under him 😉

Bryson will be unbeatable once he puts his new magic golf ball in play.

Scottie and Ernie have similar games, styles, and early career profiles, but Ernie had a lot of baggage at majors after his initial two and then he got hurt.

I don't know if he needs to be less of a spaz or lean into it even further and just fucking aspergers Scottie to death at a major next year.

"And here's Bryson cleaning up for par while reciting lyrics from the HMS Penifore..."

Duval captures the Claret Jug

Ten Top 10 finishes in majors over a 4 year stretch, and then...

Bennett seems like a fucking unit, considering he's barely one years old. He might be taller than Brian Harmon by next year's Open championship.
