Thanks for info. I go to Kentucky a couple of times a year and am a history buff. Never heard of Perryville but will check out the area and the tavern.

Quick bump. Charlie's reached out, they open at 11 and are holding space for 20 people with no expectations. Since they've been super responsive and I dig dive bars I'm probably going to head there to watch early game action then make a call on Bear and Butcher. I'll keep my table for 10 at Bear and Butcher so with @TxEx84 12 party table we can do 22 people. We can head to Charlie's or wherever after lunch.

Charlie Brown's and Bear and Butcher are literally across the street from one another.

So, unless we decide to do tailgate action seems like we have a relaxed show up, don't show up tenative plan for whoever wants to join.

Flying to Nashville Thu afternoon, drive to Frankfort to hotel. Friday early afternoon Buffalo Trace booked. Saturday early afternoon Woodford booked. Saturday night game, still need tickets. Sunday morning Castle and Key booked. Sunday afternoon Keeneland booked. Looks like Maker's has availability Monday morning, may book that since it's on the way back to Nashville for flight back that evening.

If you go up I65, which is likely, you will pass Mammoth Cave and the Corvette Museum in/just past Bowling Green coming and going off the interstate. If you're a car guy or process geomorphology nerd, both are well worth the time.

Booked Buffalo Trace on Friday at 11:30a.  Keeneland Friday afternoon after bourbon.  Reserved seats at Kenneland sold out in 20 minutes for 10/17 so for now in GA. Saturday some combination of Charlies / Bull & Butcher / tailgate. Looking forward to it!

I'll be at Marlow for tOSU game watch. @immamac, I'll connect with you to see what options there may be for Lexington tailgate.

Accidentally started another thread so I'll move this here.

Dad is taking me and my brother for a boys football weekend. Flying in Friday, flying out Sunday - staying in Louisville both nights.

We are staying downtown - could use some dinner recs for Friday, maybe breakfast Saturday and Sunday. Going to see Kevin Hart Friday night which was not my idea but I'm sure it will be fun and I'm not paying for the tickets.

Not going to be a boozy trip so not looking to do any bourbon stuff. May consider Ali museum or Slugger museum for Saturday.

May stop by if y'all do a Surly tailgate but I'm guessing we will either find a spot to watch other games or explore the campus pregame.

Thanks for working on this. The Public House looks awesome, but may be too small for a large group? Hard to tell from pictures.

My daughter (who lives in Lex) says that Charlie Brown's is more of a dive bar and not so much of a sports bar. I like dive bars, but for watching other games, the Bear and The Butcher might be better she said. It's across the street from Charlie Brown's.

It looks pretty good from pics. @BurntEyes don't remember if you looked at this one. They have 14 TV's with game sound. For tables of 15+, they charge minimum $30/pp for food. Since we are still trying to figure this out, I went ahead and booked a table for 12 at 12:30p. Not saying this is the place and don't care if I cancel. But no charge to grab at least one big table, so I booked it.  One negative, however, is that they limit tables to 2 hours according to website. So maybe crash Charlie Brown's after???

I'm good with either place. Here's the link for Bear and the Butcher for reserving 14 or more people. They also have a button to click for 50+ in your party

Strong rumor that @immamac is putting together a Kentucky tailgate. Depending on details, lunch at Bear and Then Butcher (or Charlie Brown's) then head to campus for tailgate still should work. Game will likely be at 7:30p local (Lexington is Eastern time zone) so a long, fun day ahead.

Got tickets for keeneland for Thursday. Pretty stoked.

The only thing better than Keeneland is club house passes for Keeneland.  I've only been offered club house once, and the one time I had two offers.  Haven't been  lucky enough to get an offer since.

Y'all will have fun.  Keeneland in the day and football at night is a perfect day.  Then there's the bourbon and proper limestone water.

Sounds good. I have a table of 12 reserved at B&B and @BurntEyes has a 10 top.  There are 6 in my group so space available. Probably will firm up plans in a couple of weeks and get more info on Surly tailgate. My group is going to Claiborne Farms Saturday morning. Plan is to head straight to lunch then tailgate.

@Longboard Horn Did you check to see if B&B has availability for Saturday brunch gameday?  Not planning to eat too much at lunch to save up for the fried wildcat later at the tailgate. But $30 is decent price.

I'll double check the website. I know the minimum is $30 per person for food items and only $10 per drinks. My uncle and cousin won't be able to make, but I'll most likely be going with his neighbor and son who are from Texas originally. Three for my party. Still hammering out the details.

Fuck yeah dude! Is it the KY Tailgate area? Also, do we need tailgate tickets?

Yeah let me get through Florida without losing my ass first.
