On ESPN+ (via Hulu) Is freaking great. I am a huge Big Mac fan (since his days as a Bash Brother), and this show made me love Sammy Sosa too.

yeah, they were juicing. Don’t even care. They saved baseball.

I hope they do one about Bonds’  73 HR season. Maybe they can rehabilitate Bonds image somewhat.

(98 was a hell of a year with Ricky winning the Heisman)

All of them should be in the HOF.

Amen.

looking back, what Bonds did in 2000-2005 was absolutely insane. Words really can’t describe it.

put a giant asterisk on their accomplishments, I don’t care… they deserve HOF status.

You CANNOT tell the story of baseball without the Home Run Chase of 98.

Bud Selig and the rest of baseball’s “ruling class” knew (hundreds of) these guys were using PEDS. There was no question.

That was such a fun time. Baseball dominated all talk at dinner, family get togethers, freaking everything. It makes me miss my grandpa thinking about it

This came out in 2020.  How did you get through Covid without watching it?

Working 80-90 hr weeks trying to keep people on ECMO alive, i guess.

built a house and lost my dad since then. Was bored of Tacoma FD (FARVAAAAAA) last night and found this on Hulu.

Bonds has been all over social media lately. Clips/stories/stats. I think younger generations don't really have a problem with him and are fairly enamored with how good he was.

The most recent fun stat I heard was that you could go 2/5 with a homer and a single every single game of the season and wind up shy of Bonds' 2004 OPS.

That’s bonkers

That math only works if every game is one single, 1 home run, no walks, and 5 abs.  That would be 1.400 OPS.  Mix in some doubles and walks- especially walks since they take ABs away and those are the denominator for both stats that make up OPS.
