I was a little over-excited with this post. Somehow I temporarily forgot about how the people who run these things don't actually watch the games, but just see scores. If an unbiased person actually watched the Cheezit Bowl, they would discover that the refs gave Michigan the two TDs and we dropped one TD. Give Michigan 6 points-FGs - for the two botched TD calls, and give us a receiver who catches the TD pass. Margin of victory is then 29(14 + 8-the two FGs instead of TDs + 7-caught TD pass). This Texas team was four TDs better than that Michigan team? National media would not believe that. But then on the back end take one TD from us because we are then taking it easy in the 4th quarter and the margin is now 22 points, far below UTSA's 37 point bowl victory, but still one of the best margins of victories this bowl season, not counting the minor league vs big league playoff games. Had the voters noticed a 22 point victory, then we are looking at about a #5 or #6 ranking, which means the voters will actually vote us no higher than #7. I see us being ranked #7 or #8. In reality, this Texas team is 3 TDs better than this Michigan team, and this is another year of Big10 supposed greatness. When was the last time a time that is 3 TDs better than the opposition is also called for 12 penalties over 100 yards AND the Texas fans have almost grown to accept that Texas will almost ALWAYS be called for more penalties than the opposition??? Also, if a casual voter had tuned into certain parts of the network broadcast, they would have heard all about how great Bryce Underwood looks and how great Kyle Whittingham is for taking the Michigan job, etc. and heard 0, I mean 0 about how the Texas defense is doing great things with these interceptions. We had 3 interceptions!!! But you would have never known that watching the national broadcast. Btw, BYU won their bowl game by 3 points.- Wordle [spoilers inevitable but discouraged]

Let's celebrate a win: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2025/12/29/case-dismissed-carlitos-parias-tiktok-creator-shot/87951244007/#:~:text=Olguin%20dismissed%20the%20case%20with,while%20being%20held%20in%20detention. A federal judge has dismissed the charges against a Los Angeles-based TikTok creator who was accused of assaulting an officer before being shot by a federal agent during an immigration enforcement operation, court records show. U.S. District Judge Fernando M. Olguin dismissed the case with prejudice Dec. 27. That means prosecutors cannot refile the same charges against Parias. The judge cited constitutional violations in his decision, saying Parias was deprived of his access to counsel while being held in detention. Olguin also noted that the government did not comply with discovery deadlines, including the release of body camera footage of the shooting. The footage, which was captured by a camera worn by the officer who shot Parias, was released on Dec. 10, five days after the deadline. "By delaying production of the body camera footage, the government eliminated any possibility for the defense to review the footage with Mr. Parias," Olguin wrote. "And with each passing day, the ability of defense counsel to meet with their client and prepare for trial was further undermined, resulting in even more prejudice to defendant."- 2025 Citrus Bowl - Texas vs. Michigan - 2:00pm on ABC

I'm old enough to remember when handing off to the same TE went for a TD against the mighty national title contending fighting texas aggies.- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
If he can fix his mechanics on those short simple throws(slants/crossers/wide open guys sighing in a zone) he’ll win the heisman next year and go down as the best one for sure imo. Hes so fucking good at so many things already. The things most QBs struggle with. Pocket awareness Keeping the play alive. Not taking off at the first sign of trouble. Playmaking. It’s the simple things that still nap at him…but if he works on that the sky’s the limit.- 2026 New Year's Resolutions
