Trade deadline days under him sure are a whole lot of fun. I guess that goes hand in hand with having a contender, but it’s like after the dejection in the clubhouse (and fanbase) after doing Jack squat on July 31, 2017 , it lit a fire to always make the trade deadline one of the most exciting days of the year and that hasn’t fizzled out going on 8 years now.

I'm right there with you, I couldn't be more stoked about this trade deadline. All I could think about at work was this badass day for Astros fans and how I couldn't wait to get home to see what you beautiful dumb assholes had to say about it. I'm so fucking pumped over these moves that my wife is gonna wonder why I'm extra spicy tonight and using the idea of Yordan Alvarez and Jeremy Pena in the same lineup with Correa and Altuve to edge myself after the four IPAs I just consumed. Fuck yes, Dana!

I was at Loandepot park last Monday. You are correct “almost major league park” that place cost $600M to build and it looks it. Sucks it gets to host a WBC final next year. At least it has a roof and the AC is good. The whole time all I could think about was “this is like a 21st century version of the Alamodome.” the ambiance was worse than a minor league game. They didn’t even try to get the crowd in to it. (Not the worst thing… no one needs to hear “errybody clap yo hands”). But it was still bizarre at how little attempt there was to get the crowd to be part of the action. I guess a 2-1 game in front of 11k is about as snooze worthy as it gets. at least I saw a Stowers homer…. And machete double.

Saw that earlier and meant to post it. Media guaranteed may help attract an oem. Would be nice if super formula would use Indy engines again, then there'd be more cars to spread r&d around.

100% THIS Y'all can shit on Jim Crane all fuckin day for the Bagwell/Montero/Abreu clusterfuck but this savage billionaire fuckwad has a BDE personality that compels him to take big swings when the opportunity is there and that's about all you can ask for in an owner of a pro sports team in the Houston market. He is not without criticism, duh, but he has given Astros fans a plethora of great moments to remember and his refusal to stand pat at the trade deadline when his teams are within striking distance of a WS is something we should all salute. This organization under his ownership has consistently given us great shit at the end of July. Let's hope this one turns out with a fucking parade.

A reasonable person without context might look at the GOP proposal and guess that this is an attempt by a party that has historically been abused by the gerrymander to prove that there has to be some boundary to how abusive a gerrymander can be. Unfortunately, here in the real world, we know this is the GOP trying to prove that there is truly no limit that the current incarnation of the USSC will impose on gerrymandering, so long as it is undertaken by the GOP.

Oh yeah? Well my ex-wife was asked if she would fuck her co-worker, so she did. Now we're divorced. Suck on that, losers. -
OK, looking at the pitching schedule ESPN has posted for the first 2 series of roadtrip: Friday- Brown, Saturday- Gordon, Sunday- Valdez Mon- Unkown, Tue- Unknown, Wed- Brown. I bet that this schedule gets messed with. Brown needs more days off, not less. Wednesday against Miami would be 4 days rest- he hasn't been so good doing that this year. Arrighetti pitched today and threw 80 pitchers- Wednesday would be 5 days rest. I hope that it goes: Monday- Alexander, Tuesday- Ullola, Wednesday- Arrighetti. Friday Brown, Saturday- Framber, Sunday- Gordon LMJ on the disabled list. Gusto traded. Javier probably going to make 1 more start in Sugar Land and come up the next week. This would be an amazing time to tell Ullola- hey buddy- you get 1 start- in an almost major league park- and we already have your return ticket purchased. No big deal, get your feet wet- go striike some people out and try to walk fewer than 6 in 5 innings. Holy shit I'd be happy.

pelini went 5-3 5-3 7-1 5-3 in the b1g, his last 4 years, corn's 1st 4 years in the b1g 0u won't crater overnight - they will be short 1 win per year for awhile and nagy can parlay that in to 2, maybe 3 years

I am so glad I was right about my gut feeling that Dana wasn't trading Brice Matthews.

Complaining about Oldman's portrayal of Lamb? That's a thing? Anyways, I saw this earlier and hopefully it doesn't affect the quality of writing too badly.

We kept Duran. We kept Bregman. I am cool. Now win this shit. -
It's mostly consumed via evaporative cooling, so there's unfortunately not much to recycle. It's actually much more energy efficient to remove energy by phase change, which is nice at least. It is pretty fucked that they're drawing down on aquifer-fed municipal sources to cool data centers though
