  1. Charlie Hunter is a damn monster https://www.instagram.com/p/CJ9zRn7Hu96/?igshid=x8wsymtu70yq
  2. Are we supposed to know where Naomi was going at the end? I dug the whole shuttle heist part of the episode, even though Peaches was being a pain in the ass.
  3. That happened to me once in whiteout conditions at Snowbird. I didn’t require to be dug out, but for a moment I thought I was going to. There was no one around. It was fucking scary. Yes I’m a shitty skier.
  4. She ran unopposed after the previous rep resigned. Her D opponent had to drop out after losing his house in a divorce and moving back in with family in Indiana. It was within 60 days of the election which meant that by law he couldn’t be replaced, but weirdly he remained on the ballot. So it’s notable that even in Trumpland, 25% of voters in preferred a disqualified candidate over her.
  5. P.S. I love the idea of swearing in on a Crutchfield catalog.
  6. Her district is the northwest corner of the state, and it’s the epitome of deep deep Trump country. Giant Trump flags absolutely everywhere. It’s nothing but podunk towns and a couple of huge carpet companies (Mohawk and Shaw). It’s the foothills of the Smokeys and a lot of it is really pretty. I guess it’s like a supermodel: beautiful but dumb.
  7. From Tim Kaine: “To do a trial knowing you’ll get 55 votes at the max seems to me to be not the right prioritization of our time.” https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/politics/democrats-consider-impeachment-alternatives-censure/2021/01/27/fdfd9b6c-60bd-11eb-afbe-9a11a127d146_story.html%3FoutputType%3Damp Democrats are exploring other options.
  8. Dammit, I thought that said “Marjorie Taylor-Greene indicted”. Not “indicated”. You got me all excited for nothing.
  9. You’re right. High road was the wrong choice of words.
  10. I would rather they ignore him now than hand him a win. They 100% know those are the only two options. If this had happened with enough time on the clock to convict and remove him from office then things would have been different. I think R’s would have had to bow to the pressure to remove him. Obviously that would have been a way better outcome. That’s not the case though, and having the trial now is purely political and keeps Trump in the spotlight and gives his lunatic followers more to feed on. You say “who gives a fuck” but these people have proven that they can be whipped up into viol
  11. Damn I feel like you just got that thing.

    High

Took half of one of the gummies 1:15 ago. Kicking in nicely now. I’m glad I took a half on a school night. I bet a whole one is fun but I think I’d be pretty fucked up. But I’m a lightweight.
  13. Something that isn’t s&p. I didn’t ask. He also wrapped and sauced them later.
  14. Rolling the dice on Blanton’s isn’t worth it to me any more. Too many unremarkable barrels. Store picks are a horse of a different color however.
  15. Because he will be acquitted and emboldened. Again. And his supporters will eat it up. I think it would have been better for the country to drop it once he was out of office.
  16. Much more enjoyable today. I’m honestly not sure what I’d say if you asked me if I’d rather have one the FA match or the PL match. But we’ve had a nice little PL run.

  18. Democrats know it but won’t take the high road and drop it. Republicans know it and are too chickenshit to do the right thing and convict.
  19. The whole thing is gross but Pelosi and Schumer aren’t stupid. The longer they can keep Trump relevant the longer he will unite Democrats and divide Republicans.
