  1. Some of my friends buy their meat almost exclusively from skinners. I don’t live in Longview anymore but as far as i know it’s got a good reputation. There is also a skinners closer to I-20 off FM322 just past the Sysco warehouse.
  2. Good to know... it’s been a few years since I’ve been to Neely’s; maybe I’ve romanticized it just from growing up going there. I know Porkys has been around about as long as I can remember, but I’ve never been. I’ll be up that way in a few weeks going to the lake so I’ll have to scope it out.
  3. This guy obviously knows what he’s talking about but I’ll throw in a couple more options. Both Marshall and Longview have Jucy’s hamburgers which are great. Also in Marshall, Neely’s is kind of an institution (90+ years or something) I guess I would call this some sort of bbq sandwich place... whatever you’d call it, it’s damn delicious. A couple brown pigs will set you up right. All three of those, as well as the bodacious on mobberly mentioned above are pretty painless to get to off I-20. Damn... I think I’m gonna have to make a Neely’s stop the next time up that way.
  4. I can never get over how great this gif is. Aggy lost the game right in this moment.
  5. Judging by his combine results, he might not be the first guy I’d call up about WR training.
  6. Well at least everyone really loves and respects everyone this season and it’s nothing personal just game moves because they really really respect them and just want everyone to know that.
  7. Probably 80% of women I know who went there self identify as 2%ers. As for the other 20%.... Well, everyone knows there are a shit ton of aggy in Houston. You’re bound to run into some idiots when the pool to choose from is that large.
  8. Cliff must’ve loved that veto comp. I don’t know how he kept from being distracted the whole time.
  9. Lol I brought this point up to my wife and i definitely got a look. Her over the top girl power act was kinda grating to me, but apparently saying it out loud means you’re totally against women’s empowerment.
  10. My brother is the only person I really know that did the whole commissioned officer thing, but based on that, almost all the posts here and especially this one are totally accurate.
  11. $50 for PlayStation Vue with their sports package solves all these problems.
  12. Sweat is a goddamn giant. That dude is going to be a freak.
  13. Anyone have any experience with these or the Insignias? Looking for a new tv and that’s a great price.
  14. At 28, I’ve had an interesting experience with UT quarterbacks. The first season I ever really watched college football was when i was 12-13, watching us win the rose bowl against Michigan. From then I was “hooked”, if you will. Watched the whole 04-05 season as a HS freshman and won many bets against wannabe Aggies about us winning games and the NC that season. Not sure any athlete could bring the amount of joy VY gave me that year. Solidified that I wanted to go to UT (outside of the academic rep of course) Fast forward and colt was the QB my freshman year at UT. 3rd and whatever was almost never in doubt with that dude, and we ride he and Shipley to the NC game. I’ll always have a great fondness for colt especially after my next three years had GG, case, and a smattering if non-concussed David ash. Looking at it now, though, if we were to win an NC after all the shit we’ve been through the last 10 years, if Sam were to win an NC he very well may jump to the top of my list. While he as an individual may not be the automatic 3rd down converter (unless shirt yardage) like colt or VY were, he has that trait of being able to get everyone so jacked up that his team won’t let him down and we haven’t had that kind of confidence since 09. Consider that he also didn’t have the teams that VY or Colt did around him and to me it’s all the more impressive. Plus, I love the cocky attitude, I guess.
  15. I have several friends and a brother in law that live in NO that have been saying pretty much all weekend this was a big nothing burger. Obviously some areas got some water but man, they (national news etc) talked about this sucker like it was going to Harvey all over N.O.
  16. For a second I read this as “high BBQ IQ” and i actually agreed with you.
  17. Any idea how things would be looking for a Friday day trip to Galveston? No rain in the forecast so far
  18. These Dallas dudes really love Samples
  19. We had a housekeeper/babysitter type that used to make grilled cheese like that for my brother and me when we were kids. My palette was not yet refined enough to know any difference, all I know is that she made some bad ass grilled cheeses sandwiches. On another note, the DQ in my town would put a couple of pickle slices on top of their bread in the grilled cheese before they put it in the paper sandwich bag. I’m not sure if all DQs did this or if it was just my town, but that buttered bread soaked with a little bit of pickle juice right on top, almost always right in the middle, is one of those cherished things from my childhood that i don’t think I’ll ever be able to shake.
  20. I’ve come to the conclusion that no one in this house knows what they are doing at all. That was some really bad game play
  21. My LaTech buddy said I should take it as a joke, and that he’s definitely wasted after hosting his golf tournament today. Apparently he made fun of LSU last year after his tournament. Regardless, I don’t think that’s something you want to say about Sam. He chose poorly.
  22. Your first paragraph is more or less true, from my experience last year right around this time. Tons of Asians, but they mostly just clog up the main touristy path so you can avoid them if you don’t go full blown idiot tourist. What we found was key was staying in Firostefani, about a ten min walk south of Fira. Still great restaurants within a minute or two walk, much less crowded, and the walk to Fira to catch a bus to Oia was like ten minutes. Oia was crowded but still pretty neat, there’s a great book store there Amoudi Bay was also pretty cool to check out but maybe not worth the trek. Otherwise, we rented a four wheeler to hit the black beach and that was pleasant. We also did a daytime catamaran that basically just turns into a booze cruise with swimming stops and lunch, which was probably my favorite activity of our whole trip. I’m glad we went, because we went to Naxos next which was very laid back so it was nice to do a little bit of both.
