  1. Illinois won the game with individual plays. Not much team basketball. I'll take that every night and accept you get coolered some nights. Tonight we got coolered. I'll also take Hunter at the line with the game on the line every night. We're going to be just fine.
  2. That's 100% me as well - my kids get annoyed by my added sound effects.

  4. I'm in the camp that enjoys getting up early and watching the races live (most anyway). Nothing like watching cars blaze around in circles to get your bearings straight from a hangover.
  5. Yes, true. But Cameron Williams, S from UW.

Roberto Martinez. Pretty sure he has some free time on his hands these days. That being said, a national team coach has to be modest and flexible - it's not about them and their system, it's about the best Americans and what system they play and are most comfortable with. And then you, as a coach, have to develop something that suits your players - not the other way around. Both Klinsmann and GGG had a system and tried to shoe horn our players into it. Both failed similarly. Louis Van Gaal just embarrassed us because he understands this. Maybe Marsch is the answer, but only because his style fits our current team. I don't think he fits the description above (most club coaches don't, to be fair) so when our strengths change, would he adapt? I don't know.

    MUNDIAL XXII

I'm sorry, I think you meant a USA - Brazil semi.
  8. Might be the only thing that can stop Verstappen. Of course, he'll drop 5 spots and just get a star on the next question block and win anyways.
  9. USA +330 to win.... So tempting.....
  10. Yellow Rose will be the tits. That's all I got.
  11. He's a fullback trying to close out the match. Successful passing to alleviate pressure is kind of the job description.
  12. They'll have a rude awakening when he's loaned to Man U, Man U make the CL, Chelsea doesn't even make Europa, and then Man U exercise the cheap buy option on CP10 because Chelsea gonna Chelsea.
  13. Shaq sucks. He shouldn't be on the team but somehow he's playing very meaningful minutes over a 90m per game Bundesliga RB.
  14. They hate us, English, and love CCV. I'm good with all of that.
  15. Reminder of where we came from. From the man himself. CP10 knew. Let's fucking go!
  16. It might be cliche but club career says CP10 is #1. He doesn't have the WC resume yet, but give him time. It's kind of crazy, but going through the exercise in my head, a lot of the top 10 is on the roster today. Trajectory of soccer in the US is on such a steep climb at the moment.
  17. He's up there. He needs to be a better passer to get into the "best ever" conversation. But with McKennie and Musah next to him, he's exactly what we need.
  18. Looking forward, I'm not that worried about Van Dijykt and De Ligt. We created chances against Stones and Maguire. And I think the English FBs are way better than the Dutch FBs and Rice/Bellingham are at least on par with if not better than De Jong/Blind. And finally.... The English attack is a different level than the Dutch. We've already proven we can compete at a higher level than the English. The Dutch are not better. Now go sink their battleship.
  19. Making the round of 16 is 100% about the players and 0% about GGG. That fuck just lucked into job security for at least a year because his players' give-a-fuck is higher than his incompetence.
  20. I get far more joy in having a team that dominates at home than taking two kids that just want to get stupid drunk on candy and sugary drinks.
  21. More like 1940s canned spam.
  22. At this point, just keep showing progression. We've seen UT basketball peak early and then collapse and that's no fun. This style of basketball - high tempo, push the ball, guard heavy - feels like something that can't be as easily countered like previous Texas teams that did great in pre-conf play so I have hope we can keep the momentum going. We're going to run into a cold shooting night and lose a head scratcher but rather than that being the start of a trend like in years past, with this team it feels like it would just be a blip.
  23. I'll take one for Team Old. I definitely don't - what does it mean? Edit: too late, typical old here.
  24. I didn't realize Hamilton was 38+ and that he's 2nd oldest on the grid by nearly 3 years. Damn he's been around a while.
