  1. We had him do a Cameo for my son's 10th birthday earlier this year. He went above and beyond my expectations for something like that. https://www.cameo.com/dickerthekicker It was awesome. My son couldn't believe it. He has my vote!!
  2. [csb]When our youngest was a newborn we did a family photo session with a friend who is a photographer to the rich and famous around here. During the session she starts telling us stories about some of the people she has shot and my favorite was about one of the Mavs who she did a session for with his wife and kids along with two other baby mamas and the kids from those. Some Male / Female / Kid shots and some entire group shots. Photographer said she was nervous the whole time but that they all seemed perfectly fine with it. [\csb]
  3. it's almost criminal that Helton lasted 7 years there. It's like they just gave up after the shenanigans that led to him.
  4. I lean toward four 20 team leagues is probably where things settle. (2 auto bids to the playoff for each and 4 at-large based on committee selection (seeding also set by committee) Agree that a contract between player and school is probably coming in an attempt to slow down the transfer whirlwind.
  5. I didn't say it had to be a recent photo. Besides, don't pre-judge what might do it for me.
  6. So what would the financial plan be if he moved from A&M-TXARK to any of the other schools you mentioned? Going from a free place to live and net positive cashflow while getting his degree to anything that involved cash outflow and / or debt would have to be looked at skeptically based on the situation you described. Good on him (and you) for efforts to date though.
  7. not just "random" but Prime Sports Media account. It's akin Luicci talking about how great the Aggies are doing in meat judging.
  8. Wasn't it a new leader (Gorby) recognizing that the Afghani related actions of a former leader (Brezhnev) were failing and unsustainable in wobbly Soviet Union? and what MIA said.
  9. I think we all agree on these scenarios, but the estimated price range for each scenario is where we may diverge: MAX PEAK - TX / Mich (possibly 2X current market) Low PEAK - TX / Bama (1X - 1.5X current market) Mid - Wash / Mich ( .75X - 1X current market) Bottom - Wash / Bama ( <Face - .5X current market) Anybody have a different order of high to low price scenarios?
  10. I think this is roughly the split if it was even. I added the TX and UW in the areas that seem to be the school allotment for each school. In reality I bet it is 70% Texas.
  11. Y'all are all talking Sugar Bowl correct?
  12. Sorry, it's been a minute but here is the finished product... Happy with them overall. Haven't figured out how to do a good TEXAS Burnt Orange yet. If any of y'all have that down please either post or DM me the right color combo.
  13. Have a buddy whose last name is Bator. Needless to say his closest friends always call him Master. That won't stop.
  14. Here's one. The mention of mixed-race, etc. upthread reminded me of a word that was common in my central Texas upbringing in the 70-80s but I hadn't heard in a while (Mulatto). Imagine my surprise when I'm listening to the radio one day a few years back and the new creation from Dairy Queen is advertised... Fuck me runnin' does anyone review these product names?
  15. I think the least racist thing you can do in this situation is eat all three cupcakes, especially if one is vanilla, one is chocolate and one is lemon.
  16. "Nice" of them to give you follow-up call
  17. So if we think the 20k tickets per school is accurate, I'm thinking maybe 65% of those actually end up with "donor" fans. Team / Coaches - 250-500 tickets Band - 400 Athletics / University admin - 500 Students - 5,000 I was another one of those walking around the Rose Bowl in January 2006 looking for tickets and I can see this being like that. The market will be a bit more efficient in that we won't have to walk around and hope that we happen to be around the right person when they hold tickets up in the air to sell, but I'll bet the get-in price is >3k on the re-seller market if the matchup involves UT. Many will have the same view as has been expressed in this thread, never will be a cheaper (no "travel costs" involved) option than this, not to mention the pent-up demand from Horns' fans coming out of the desert of the last 13 years. If Horns don't make it, all of us buying in advance should really be pulling for Big Blue as that will be the only hope for the market not collapsing before we can sell. Wish I had thought of the RSVP option earlier in the year. I bought "Dibs" in the 2009 season for $75 or something like that and then got 4 tickets to that debacle for face. Good luck to everyone.
  18. I saw in an article that no team ranked 7 or lower in the penultimate rankings has ever moved up to the top 4 in the final rankings. I think the caveat this year is the head-to-head of two teams rated in top 6 (loser will not remain in top 4, and the possibility of the upset for another undefeated (FSU) in the top 4 who will for sure drop out in the event they lose. As well as the Buckeyes "placeholder" spot in the top 6 in case of emergency.
  19. If on August 15th any Texas fan had been asked if 11-1 and the 1 seed in the Big 12 Championship would be considered a successful season the response surely would have been a unanimous yes. Now that we're here, sure we all want to win the Big 12 and then get a CFP spot, etc. but if any of those things fail it shouldn't diminish the view of the season as a whole. It would have been disappointing, as a Rangers fan, if they lost the World Series (once they got there) but in the long view no Ranger fan would have honestly been able to say the season was not successful. Texas fans are Andy Dufresne at precisely this moment, it's been a shitty 13 years, enjoy this!!
