  1. A guy with "texasstrong" in his name has trouble identifying a coach who is underperforming? I'm shocked. Shocked.
  2. I've never done Stroganoff with venison before, but that looks awesome. One thing I will do to avoid overcooking the meat, though, is to pull it out after cooking. I make the sauce in the same pan, and then add the beef back in later to reheat it just before serving. It lets me get the sauce how I want it without worrying about overcooking the tenderloin.
  3. A paloma is great for the summer, as is a negroni. One drink that I think gets overlooked in general, but especially as a summer cocktail, is a nice Tom Collins - they're incredibly refreshing. 1.5 oz gin 1 oz simple syrup (or see lazy method below) 3/4 oz lemon juice Combine, then pour over ice and top with a couple ounces of sparkling water. You can fancy it up with a cherry (a nice one, not the fluorescent red shit) and citrus peel. If you're too lazy to make a batch of simple syrup to keep in the fridge, just add 1/2 oz water and 1/2 oz sugar, then shake before pouring over the ice.
  4. I dunno. We've tried the whole "quarterback who turns over the ball and loses you games" thing, and I'm willing to give the other side a shot just to see how it works out.
  5. They've since updated the game to make it much, much, much easier to connect and set up. I still don't like that it requires the XBox app, though.
  6. The cheap kind that's leftover after making steak au poivre.
  7. ...who else would give a shit about them other than another aggy?
  8. Thanks! It's incredibly easy, though. The ceviche is just a matter of going to a decent fish market and asking, "So, what marine fish are fresh today? I'd like to make ceviche." Literally anything fresh is fine, but I do like to stick to salt water for stuff I'm making at home. About 1 lb of fish, some lime juice, some orange juice, some thinly sliced red onion, your favorite chile, and then whatever else you have floating around that sounds good. I think this batch had some avocado, Fresno chiles, and some chives that were getting old. I like to marinate mine for about 15 minutes and cut the fish into larger slices to get a nice contrast in texture between the "cooked" outside and the raw inside. You can marinate for less time for a more sashimi-like experience, or 45 min+ if you like well done steak and chili with beans. If you want to make it look even fancier, you can throw it in a chilled martini or coupe glass and serve it up as an appetizer. Watermelon/mint/feta is the easiest "fancy" salad ever - https://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2016/06/watermelon-feta-mint-salad-recipe.html Esquites are just elotes off the cob. Grilled or skillet-charred corn + mayo + chili powder + lime juice+ cilantro + cotija cheese.
  9. It's been a bit since I've posted anything here, but this was a really solid summer meal. Halibut ceviche, some esquites, and a watermelon/mint/feta salad. There was also a cherry sangria, but I wasn't super happy with how it turned out. The best part about this meal is that everything requires minimal effort/time, but the return is great.
  10. It's in the TexAgs style guide. When he says things like, "I'm not sure that A&M hasn't won a championship more recently than Texas" or "When it comes to head-to-head battles, I can't say that no one is going to outwork Jimbo and his staff, but I can't not either," aggy brains just parse it as "gig um mr smart wurds! sitting p5 ring bearer power moved those tsips! take my 9.95!"
  11. You read the thread, and this is what you got out of it? How do you get through life with such a limited ability to understand the context of what people are saying? It's things like this that remind me how fucking stupid Sooners are. I know it in my head, but it's good to have a reminder for the heart. Thank you.
  12. There are plenty of kids who do stupid shit with hats and make other efforts to manufacture drama. That's stupid attention whoring bullshit. This is just a shitty thing to do; it's disrespectful to the folks who spent time recruiting him, and it absolutely is reflective of his character. This seems to me on the same level as a person who makes a scene at a restaurant just to get free shit. Is it a big deal in and of itself? Probably not, but I'm going to think you're a classless shithead, and there's no way I'll want to have you around.
  13. I don't post often, but are you fucking serious, Clark? If he actually commits to aggy literally the day after posting a top 3 of other teams, I think "this kind of move is the pinnacle of shitbaggery" pretty well hits the nail on the head. There are plenty of shitty people that aren't actively rapists or kleptomaniacs, and him pulling this sort of douchebag move for the lolz absolutely says a ton about his character.
  14. I assumed that he meant that the 5 OL were blocking 4 pass rushers as a unit and providing help rather than it being four 1v1 matchups with Vahe blocking air or three 1v1 and a 2v1.
  15. https://www.kotaku.com.au/2017/04/red-dead-redemption-pc-mod-for-gta-5-goes-down-in-legal-flames/ Sadly, that mod got killed about a year ago by Take Two, so I doubt we see a PC port of the original anytime soon.
  16. That's correct, it is cross platform. You don't have to do anything special to play with PC/Xbox users. If you've purchased the game on one platform, logging into the Microsoft store on the other platform should show it as freely available to download. That said, it's a pain in the ass to play with friends on PC. I've been having a ridiculously fun time with it. It's almost certainly not worth it solo - at least for now - but it's an amazing time with some friends. The interactions with other players make the game.
