  1. The SSA has a webpage where you can see the popularity of any name going back to like 1900. If the name doesnt show up, it means it was not in the top 1000 names for any year. In Jalen's case, I think you can make the case that he might in fact be responsible for the sudden name popularity. Prior to 1992, it was never in the top 1000. In 1992 (second of the fab 5 final fours) it shows up all of the sudden at #378. I guess it could be a coincidence, but I bet not. Fab 5 was a big media story.
  2. could be. I just did a quick google search of the respective fees, and the information I looked at showed a management fee of .4% for VUG, which appears to be off by an order of magnitude, lulz. But the fees for both are so low, its basically noise when discussing returns of 379% and 275%. QQQ has a slightly better yield, but probably not enough to erase the difference in management fees. Really, I was just curious why you wouldn't select a Nasdaq based fund rather than a S&P based fund, if a concentration in tech was your reason for choosing VUG over SPY. Its funny though the top 10 holdings are pretty damn similar, and in my mind uncomfortably concentrated: Basically switch out netflix(QQQ) for Lilly(VUG). Its a battle of people getting fat sitting around watching NFLX vs people trying to get healthy.
  3. If you want a tech heavy, large cap ETF, why not buy QQQ? Better historical returns with lower management fees.
  4. what a shocking twist. Earlier today, my weather app was showing a 1.71 inches of rain for tonight. We got blutarskied
  5. My recollection is that Belichick was pretty damn good at roster construction. He would drop over-priced vets with little hesitation, picked up damaged goods for cheap, and especially on defense looked for guys that were pretty adaptable. Thus he had a lot more flexibility week to week designing defensive schemes. If you look at scoring defense while he was a HC, NE was pretty damn consistent. Some of that was Bill, some of that was playing the jets and dolphins a lot. I'd much rather eat Jordan's cookie than Sally's
  6. They could play all-stars from the JADES-GS-z14-0 galaxy and I doubt the players would put out much effort. Its a week off for the entire league, both those selected and those sitting at home. The entire weekend is dogshit now. The guys selected to this game all make so much money, its not clear to me that they can be financially motivated. And the league in general already has the in-season tournament with a cash prize to try and juice some excitement in an entirely too long 82 game season, so the prize money would presumably be less for one ASG weekend than for the in season tournament. The single players probably look at the weekend as a chance to smash as many insta-hos as possible in a 72 hr window. The married players on the other hand probably look at it as a chance to smash as many insta-hos as possible in a 72 hr window.
  7. He's already playing it. Like you said, everyone knows he's coming back, and yet last night he did the same shit he's done after the last couple of playoff series losses He's getting to be as bad as Aaron Rodgers.
  8. Well, yeah. I'm unfortunately planning on a couple of those.
  9. I like seeing the Lakers lose in the first round as much as anybody, but it also unfortunately means we have now entered Lebron's annual "pretending he might not play next season decision process" when everyone knows he has to play so that Bronny can sit on daddy's lap again next season have a spot on an NBA roster next season.
  10. And all that lethal Bronny James firepower just sitting on the bench. Why you no like winning, JJ?
  11. Ah fuck, now I gotta smuggle a can of bear spray on board?
  12. https://pagesix.com/2025/04/30/lifestyle/bill-belichicks-girlfriend-jordon-hudson-reportedly-amassed-8m-real-estate-portfolio-since-dating-coach/ fucking ole Bill is paying off.
  13. shooters shoot
  14. I guess I just don't consider it particularly newsworthy in the first place. The fact that Fox labels it as China "caving" is fucking hilarious. We did the exact same fucking thing so Trump didn't have to hear about $2500 iPhones. It's a nonstory.
  15. We waived electronics and semiconductors. They waived some shit. Why? Because blanket tariffs are fucking stupid to begin with. This is all so goddamn idiotic.
  16. You need to give up this fantasy that the clueless/spineless morons in the democratic party are capable of rising to the moment. Their political impotence grows by the day.
  17. Cant wait for opening day of the Belichick era in Chapell Hill when she walks him out on the field with a leash.
  18. What lass wouldn't be impressed by 4 sharts in under 40 minutes. Bravo.
  19. Nice of us to give little bro the hand me downs.

Yeah they can GTFO with that $4.25/roll bullshit.
  21. Did I just see Curry airball a three, or did that last one get tipped? Went back and watched it, and he sure as fuck did. I dont recall the last time I saw that when it wasnt a last second heave.
  22. I would say the biggest warning sign with QE is that he didn't really improve that much in the time he was here. He became a little more consistent after his first year here, but continued to make a lot of the same mistakes all the way to the end. He was a pretty good, not great college QB on a team with a fuckton of offensive talent. I'd be pissed if my team drafted QE only because I think we saw the best of what he is capable of already, and it isn't NFL caliber play or leadership. History is littered with those types of guys that had to figure out something else to do with their lives after school. At least todays NIL landscape means he got a shot at making a few million already.
  23. Damn did that lady have a rough life. On the streets at a young age, then all of the Epstein shit and attention afterwards, and now it looks like her family life was disintegrating.
  24. Nobody else is jumping on that grenade.
