  1. I couldn't help but laugh at every clip they showed of McFarland and Ja Rule together getting interviewed. They ask Ja Rule anything about the festival and he just smiles and says some random general shit ("it's revolutionary" type shit) and hoped the CEO would take over. Won't spoil it yet but the last 15 minutes made me just as happy as when it was happening in real-time on twitter. Rich kids spending silly money to feed their egos and got Kraft Single sandwiches (not even cheddar)? Show me more, please.
  2. Seen that exact play earlier. But when the Rams need a 1st? McVay has something in his back pocket for our asses. Garrett is to busy clapping to even have a free hand to search his pockets.
  3. Huh? The Eagles went 13-3 behind a Top 5 YPG and PPG defense last year. They were also Top 5 in rushing yards/game and Scoring offense. I can't think of the last time we had a defense as good as we do right now, and that is evidenced by our playoff win. We're in the Elite 8, about where we should be by playing to our potential. I don't think we're statistically good enough to make it to the Super Bowl, but I've also seen our defense play to its 100% potential and beat the Saints, so I know that it can be down (however unlikely).
  4. Agreed. In those Tony Romo games we had above-average defenses that could play with a lead but if we had to stop any sort of decent offense in a shootout, good luck. Our defensive backs haven't inspired confidence in me in a damn decade, and I think I'm finally getting close. Saturday I thought that exact thing, for the first time in a long time I'm confident that our pass rush can get there and our DBs can make enough plays to stop a late charge if need be, we're finally "good" not just above average. Hopefully that doesn't come back to bite me in the ass this weekend.
  5. Will be glad to see Danny back tonight at least, looking forward to his ovation. Fuck Kawhi. Fuck 'em. But, I don't think DeMar will match-up well tonight, if he can give us solid numbers 15-20, with LMA and Derrick White staying hot, along with the role players hitting 3s, we can still take them.
  6. So great that he came from a P5 program, and a great school, but still seemed absolutely thrilled to be a Longhorn every time I saw clips of him. He deserved all the touches he got this year and I'm glad he gets to call himself a Longhorn for life now.
  7. I really enjoy that 3rd down confidence that I haven't felt since VY and Colt were with us. 3rd and 7? No fucking problem. 3rd and 10? I'm cool, Sam got it, just watch. What a comforting feeling to have a badass under center.
  8. Not a huge Charlo fan but I generally pull for them. Sucks to see Jermell be on the end of a shit decision. The argument for it is pretty silly and ignores how the fight actually unfolded. Harrison was cautious and timid the entire fight and refused to scrap.
  9. Seconded. About half an hour in I was getting Linklater vibes with all the meandering but somewhere along the way the story catches you and it's also not hard to notice this guy is a fuckin pro with the camera work. Beautiful movie for being black & white.
  10. Great show. Best under the influence bc you feel like you're just there chillin' with the homies talkin' shit. Bronson and Mayhem seem cool as hell but I could do without Alchemist and Body. Those dudes are just along for the ride. And of course Alchemist would rather be eating McDonald's every night than the fine dining they try to put him on.
  11. They didn't give me that option. They said they weren't doing cancellations but would be charging today or tomorrow. I'm turning my debit card off. Why am I getting F'd as a season ticket holder? Don't mail me shit I didn't pay for.
  12. 34,000 minutes. Top Artists: Miguel, Anderson .Paak, Toro y Moi, Pusha T, The Internet. Thought the first page was pretty funny, Fleetwood Mac mentioned along with BG (from Cash Money).
  13. What'd you think? I thought every damn guitar solo was incredible. And damn near every song had a solo.
  14. Surprised not to see any mention of Gary Clark's 3 shows this week in Austin. I'll be there tonight for the final one. Been waiting since f'ing June.
  15. They had 143 yards at 3.1 per rush. I don't know about "pushing us around." They also got a substantial amount of that off of jet sweeps (including 28 yards on a TD), before we figured out how to defend that, and while we had Malcolm Roach lumbering around the middle of the field masquerading as a starting LB. AND Gary Johnson got kicked out in the 2nd quarter. I ran the highlights of that game back and man we aren't even close to that defense we trotted out week 1. No BJ Foster, no Gary, and Malcolm was getting reps at MLB next to GJ (he played as a NT in the second half of the season, and in game 1 we had him trying to catch receivers off jet sweeps as a LB). Not to mention Kasim Hill had knees during week 1 and Georgia has starting QB that won't misdirect with triple option BS.
  16. He'll play more 4-man lines and ask Hager to take on less double-teams and "free up the LB" duty. At least I hope he would. ISU gameplan all the way. I respect Breckyn. But I'm glad this is going to be his last game as a starting DE at the University of Texas. He'll finish Top 3 in our hearts, but nowhere near the Top 5 DEs we've had on campus in the 2010s.
  17. Who has Golovkin ever lost to that he beat 11 rounds to 1? Good scrap. Went all according to script (power vs. boxing skills script) aside from the questionable decision. I was rooting for Wilder, but yes Fury probably still deserved a win after that fight.
  18. Finishing out my last hour of work this week on the 40 acres...... from campus: FIIIIIIIIIGHT!
  19. This is it for me. Was formulaic and predictable, but solid and worth the price of admission. I also got goosebumps with the music drop.
  20. Wish there was a way to know it was going to be chicken shit so we could've taken Covington/Saric and a pick and at least had some youth on the team. They kicked our ass last night. Maybe we wouldn't be this bad with Dejounte, but I don't see him making that much of a difference.
  21. Was just there for Thanksgiving. Internet is kind of spotty, but hopefully they see it by Friday.
  22. Of course I consider something like 42-21 "respectable". They don't score 60, you put up multiple touchdowns, everybody wins!
  23. Just tagging on to a similar post, but this is the time every year where I hope for just one upset. I think there's 6 valley teams left, if 1 of them wins it will be a huge year for the region. My money is on my connection to the Region, the mighty La Feria Lions playing La Vernia for the 4A Area. Really interested to see if Edinburg Vela can keep it respectable with Westlake. They're 12-0. I was originally kind of disappointed they didn't schedule an out-of-region game, but they've beat both Weslaco and Hanna (who are both still playing this weekend). Hanna also beat Amarillo Tascosa, who is playing this weekend. I think they might have the most hope for the 6A teams against Brandeis.
